Abstract

Rendahnya literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar masih menjadi permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi bangun ruang dan skala yang bersifat abstrak dan kurang kontekstual. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah melalui penerapan pembelajaran yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan berakar pada budaya lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa kelas V SD melalui implementasi model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis etnomatematika Rumah Kajang Lako pada materi bangun ruang dan skala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan mixed methods, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V B SD Negeri 34/1 Teratai Muara Bulian. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes literasi numerasi, observasi aktivitas siswa, angket respons siswa, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan persentase ketuntasan dan peningkatan hasil belajar, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL berbasis etnomatematika Rumah Kajang Lako mampu meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa secara signifikan, baik pada aspek kompetensi kuantitatif maupun spasial. Selain itu, respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar, kemampuan kolaborasi, pemodelan matematis, serta refleksi pembelajaran yang positif. Dengan demikian, model PjBL berbasis etnomatematika Rumah Kajang Lako efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran kontekstual untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based numeracy assessment on the topic of length and weight measurement for fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a research and development approach with validation by material and language experts. Data were collected through interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and documentation. The results of material expert validation showed an overall validity percentage of 80%, categorized as valid, while language expert validation reached 100% with a very valid category. These results indicate that the developed HOTS-based numeracy assessment is appropriate for use in learning and assessment activities in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop ethnomathematics-based teaching materials incorporating Jambi batik motifs using Canva for the topic of reflection symmetry and rotational symmetry in third-grade elementary school and to determine their validity and practicality. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects were a third-grade teacher and students. Data were collected through validation questionnaires completed by material experts, media experts, and language experts, as well as response questionnaires from teachers and students to assess the practicality of the product. The validation results showed percentages of 96% from the material expert, 96% from the media expert, and 88% from the language expert, all categorized as very valid. The practicality test results indicated 96% from the teacher’s response, 90% in the small group trial, and 92.2% in the large group trial, all categorized as very practical. Based on these findings, the developed teaching materials are considered very valid and very practical, making them suitable for use as contextual teaching materials in elementary mathematics learning.
