Abstract

The Effect of Using Media Cartoon Videos Toward The Skill of Writing Short Story for 3rd Year Students of SMP. This study aims to describe:  (1) skill of writing short story for 3rd year students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar before using media of cartoon videos, (2) skill of writing short story for 3rd year students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar after using media.of cartoon videos, (3) the effect of using media of cartoon videos toward the skill of writing short story for 3rd year students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar.  This research is a pre-experimental design research with one-group pretest-posttest design using pretest at the beginning of conducting research  and post test as the final test.  The results of the study found that:  (1) skill of writing short story for 3rd year students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar before using media of cartoon videos are categorized as less skilled, (2) skill of writing short story for 3rd year students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar after using media of cartoon videos are categorized as skilled, (3) using media of cartoon videos affect the skill of writing short story for 3rd year students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan metode outdoor learning (pembelajaran luar ruang) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di jenjang sekolah dasar. Motivasi belajar yang rendah dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang menarik sering menjadi kendala dalam proses belajar mengajar. Dengan outdoor learning, siswa diajak belajar langsung di lingkungan luar kelas, sehingga mereka dapat lebih aktif dan memahami konsep IPA melalui pengalaman nyata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengumpulkan data dari artikel ilmiah melalui Google Scholar dan Publish or Perish. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran di luar ruangan mampu meningkatkan motivasi, pemahaman konsep, dan aktivitas siswa secara signifikan dari satu siklus ke siklus berikutnya Meskipun demikian, keterbatasan referensi dan metode studi pustaka menjadi kelemahan yang perlu diperbaiki dengan penelitian lapangan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of creating a Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) garden on the knowledge and attitudes of elementary school students at Inpres Pa'baeng-Ba'baeng regarding medicinal plants. This research used an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach. The students were divided into two groups: an experimental group that directly participated in creating the TOGA garden and a control group that did not participate. Data were collected through quizzes and questionnaires administered before and after the TOGA garden activity. The results showed a significant improvement in students' knowledge and attitudes towards medicinal plants after participating in the TOGA garden activity. The students who participated showed an increased understanding of various types of medicinal plants, their benefits, and demonstrated more concern for utilizing medicinal plants in daily life. This study concludes that creating a TOGA garden can be an effective method for improving students' knowledge and attitudes toward medicinal plants and can encourage the use of medicinal plants in daily life.

Abstract

Audit internal merupakan alat bantu pengendalian manajemen dalam melakukan kegiatan penilaian yang bebas terhadap semua kegiatan perusahaan agar selalu dalam keadaan normal. Oleh karena itu, audit internal harus menyusun suatu pengendalian internal yang baik dan tepat, mengadakan pengawasan atas pelaksanaan kegiatan usaha, mengukur dan menilai serta member saran-saran perbaikan yang sangat diperlukan oleh manajemen. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian yang bersifat kuantitatif, dengan memberikan gambaran di masa sekarang dan di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menjelaskan tentang gejala, peristiwa, kejadian yang terjadi. Penelitian ini memusatkan pada fenomena yang sedang terjadi pada saat penelitian ini dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi pengaruh obyektivitas terhadap kualitas audit adalah sebesar 0,004 < 0,05 sedangkan t hitung sebesar 2,99. Hal ini berarti Obyektivitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas audit. Sedangkan nilai signifikansi pengaruh integritas terhadap kualitas audit adalah sebesar 0,056 > 0,05 sedangkan t hitung sebesar 0,58. Hal ini berarti Integritas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas audit.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis pada mata pelajaran IPAS siswa kelas IV di gugus 1 Botolinggo dilatar belakangi oleh pemilihan model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru masih kurang tepat, sehingga siswa kurang fokus terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Selain itu sebagian besar peserta didik kurang antusias dan merasa kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran IPAS sehingga kemampuan berfikir kritis di gugus 1 Botolinggo sangat rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Quasy Experiment. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 35 siswa dengan jumlah kelas eksperimen 14 siswa dan kelas kontrol 21 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penelitian Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih efektif digunakan. dilihat dari data nilai yang diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi keberagaman budaya di indonesia, pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 73,64 yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol sebesar 43,95. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang berbentuk pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikan diperoleh Dari hasil perhitungannya diperoleh hasil nilai LHitung yaitu 8,817513665 < LTabel yaitu 2,034515297 dengan taraf 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 Ditolak. Maka terdapat pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis IPAS siswa kelas IV Di gugus 1 Botolinggo secara signifikan

Abstract

Poor water quality conditions in the cultivation media can cause an increase in pathogenic bacteria such as Vibrio sp. which can inhibit shrimp growth. This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between Total Organic Matter (TOM) and the abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria in shrimp cultivation media. The stages of the study included checking the abundance of bacteria starting from sterilization of tools, media preparation, bacterial inoculation, bacterial calculations and checking TOM using the titration method. The results showed that TOM in the cultivation media increased as the cultivation period progressed. At the beginning of the distribution, the condition of organic matter in the cultivation media showed a low value and the abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria in the early stages of cultivation was also low. The highest TOM and abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria occurred in DOC 91 with a total organic matter of 121.68 ppm and a TVC of 7.29 x 103 CFU/ml. while the lowest TOM and abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria occurred in DOC 1 with a total organic matter of 88.48 ppm and an abundance of 2.5 x 102 Vibrio sp. CFU/ml. The correlation between TOM and the abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria in the cultivation media shows a positive linear relationship. This study shows that the high content of organic matter in the cultivation media affects the abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria in the cultivation media. The higher the organic matter in the cultivation media, the abundance of Vibrio sp. bacteria also increases.

Abstract

Since 1968, dengue fever cases in Indonesia have persisted despite various vector control efforts. One of the most common and accessible methods of personal protection is the use of mosquito repellents. This study evaluated public perceptions of mosquitoes and repellents, their willingness to pay (WTP) for these products, and the efficacy of synthetic and natural-based repellents against Aedes aegypti, considering variations in mosquito strain and age. A Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices (KAP) analysis was conducted to assess public understanding and behaviors, utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and SWOT-AHP. Repellent efficacy was tested using the arm-in-cage method based on WHO guidelines, involving four mosquito strains (BORA, BDG, TSK, TGR) and three age groups (5, 10, 15 days). The KAP analysis revealed high public awareness but limited translation into effective practices due to differing perceptions and low personal responsibility for dengue prevention. Natural-based repellents were preferred, scoring 3.40 out of 5, with WTP ranging from IDR 20,000–40,000. However, only synthetic repellents containing DEET provided 90% protection for six hours, while natural-based repellents offered less than 60% protection in the first hour. Strain variation significantly affected repellency, with TSK showing the highest repellency, while BORA and BDG exhibited similar trends. Although 10-day-old mosquitoes were more sensitive to repellents, age variation did not consistently influence repellency. These findings highlight the need for improved education campaigns, tailored repellent formulations, and localized testing to enhance public protection against mosquito bites and dengue transmission.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies used by English teachers at SMAN 1 Barru to promote students’ motivation in learning English. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through classroom observations and interviews with teachers. The findings identify two main strategies: Active Learning and Reward Strategies. Active Learning includes group discussions, gamified quizzes, and brainstorming, which encourage student engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking. Reward Strategies involve social rewards such as verbal praise and public recognition, as well as material rewards like certificates and bonus points, all aimed at reinforcing positive learning behaviors. These strategies have significantly increased student motivation, resulting in higher levels of participation, confidence, and enthusiasm in English classes. The study offers useful insights for educators and suggests further research on the long-term impact of these strategies and additional methods to sustain motivation in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

This study examines how students and teachers communicate in English classes, with a particular emphasis on implicature and deixis usage and its impact on students' comprehension. Analyzing the effects of implicature and deixis on student interaction and comprehension is the aim of this study. Data were collected at SMKN 9 Bandung through interviews, audio recordings, and observations using a qualitative methodology. The results of the analysis demonstrated that the use of deixis including person, spatial, and temporal deixis created an interactive environment that encouraged student participation. Additionally, the teacher's use of implicature in open-ended questions prompted critical thinking and active participation from the students This study identifies the challenges students face in understanding hidden meanings and the social context that influences language use. The findings suggest that building a strong relationship between teachers and students is just as important for effective classroom communication as simply dispensing knowledge. Therefore, understanding implicature and deixis helps students become better communicators.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan masa transisi dari masa kanak-kanak ke masa dewasa yang melibatkan perubahan perkembangan fisik, seksual, psikologis dan sosial yang dramatis, sehingga banyak sekali terjadi permasalahan pada masa remaja salah satunya adalah bullying. Bullying berdampak negatif baik bagi korban, pelaku maupun orang yang menyaksikan bullying. Dampak perilaku bullying diantaranya dapat menyebabkan kecemasan. Salah satu terapi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah cemas pada korban bullying adalah terapi expressive writing. Expressive writing merupakan terapi dimana individu didorong untuk menceritakan masalah, perasaan, dan mood yang dihadapinya dalam bentuk tulisan sehingga individu tersebut dapat mengeluarkan emosi-emosi yang terpendam dalam dirinya. Adapun tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisis penerapan terapi expressive writing dalam menurunkan kecemasan pada remaja korban bullying. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah literature review dimana data database yang digunakan oleh penulis berupa google scholar menggunakan framework PICO, sehingga didapatkan artikel sebanyak 30 artikel dan artikel yang direview sebanyak dua artikel (tahun 2012- 2022) sesuai kriteria inklusi. Hasil literature review ini didapatkan bahwa penerapan terapi expressive writing efektif dalam menurunkan kecemasan pada remaja korban bullying.
