Abstract

This study discusses the habituation method of tahfidz al-Qur'an applied at the Hamalatul-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Jombang. The habituation method emphasizes oral skills and habituation in memorizing the Qur'an. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data was analyzed through reduction, verification and data analysis by checking the validity of the data through the triangulation method. The results of this study state that the concept of the habituation method is a habit of students to interact with the Qur'an by reading the Qur'an readings according to standards, so as to cause a positive response. These interactions are carried out in every activity such as muraqabah, congregational prayers and other activities. This method has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of this method is that students can easily and quickly memorize the Qur'an. However, the disadvantage of this method is that the activity becomes a monotonous activity that makes the students bored and lazy. For this reason, the Islamic boarding school should be able to make a variety of activities so that students do not get bored.

Abstract

Border areas are often associated with the complexity of identities, vulnerability to conflicts, and low security levels. This study aims to assist residents in border areas with diverse social, cultural, and religious differences. The selected areas are Gorontalo, which has a strong Islamic identity, and North Sulawesi, which is predominantly Christian. The study focuses on preachers and Quran teachers, as they hold a central role in conveying religious messages. The research method used is the Community Based Research (CBR) model with a descriptive approach. The results of the study found that religious moderation support through the internalization of moderate Islamic values, such as tolerance, rejection of violence, national commitment, and recognition of local traditions, successfully enhanced the understanding of religious moderation, although the increase was relatively small. Changes before and after mentoring, from understanding to a very understanding level of 10%. Understanding of moderation will be more optimal if mentoring activities are carried out continuously through formal and non-formal activities. This study recommends that religious moderation activities in formal forms need to receive non-formal mentoring in the form of implementing moderation values in everyday life so that they have relatively large potential in forming moderate attitudes in society's religion.

Abstract

Prosperity and welfare have been ideals pursued by the founders of this nation and the current Indonesian government. These ideals are manifested in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution, which states: "The government shall protect the entire nation and all the blood spilled, promote general welfare, and educate the life of the nation." However, in reality, the issue of social inequality in Indonesia has become increasingly acute. According to data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in March 2024, the poverty line is defined as an income of Rp. 536,122 per person per month, with 25.22 million people recorded as living below this threshold. Meanwhile, the World Bank's poverty standard is defined as a minimum daily income of $2.15 or approximately Rp. 970,000 per month. There is a significant discrepancy between the standard set by the Indonesian government and that of the World Bank, which presents a serious issue that must be addressed. In 2014, Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages provided a legal foundation and strategic framework for the development and empowerment of village communities. Through authority in village governance, development implementation, community guidance, and empowerment, it is hoped that villages will develop awareness and initiative. Subsequently, the central government initial village fund transfers through the state budget (APBN), allocating 10% of the total funds outside of regional transfers (on top), implemented gradually. The increase in budget allocation disbursed to villages aims to support village development to enhance community welfare and improve the quality of life while addressing poverty. This is achieved by fulfilling basic needs, constructing village infrastructure, developing local economic potential, and sustainably utilizing natural and environmental resources. Thus, the author formulates the following research problems: How can the concept of a welfare state be reformulated as a strategy for poverty alleviation through the utilization of village funds in Indonesia? What concrete measures can be taken to ensure effective and targeted use of village funds for poverty alleviation in Indonesia? This research employs a normative legal study approach supported by empirical data. The theoretical framework includes the theory of the welfare state, the theory of legal development, and Jeremy Bentham's theory of economic analysis of law

Abstract

General Background: Food security is a critical issue in rural areas, especially in developing countries, where sustainable agricultural practices and government support play a vital role in ensuring a stable food supply. Specific Background: In Sumorame Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency, the local government has implemented a food security program aimed at improving agricultural productivity and community welfare. Knowledge Gap: Despite the program's significance, little is known about the specific factors influencing its success, particularly in the context of rural governance and local agricultural conditions. Aims: This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the food security program in Sumorame Village, focusing on four key factors: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Results: The findings reveal that communication between the village government, farmers, and community groups has been effective through targeted socialization efforts. Human resources are competent, with strong collaboration among farmer groups. Abstract
