Abstract

Islamic banks are often assumed to only serve Muslims, when in fact, non-Muslims also show interest in using Islamic banking services such as BSI savings products, to store their funds. This study aims to examine the interest of non-Muslims in BSI savings by focusing on location, product, and promotion factors. Using the accidental sampling method, and using primary and secondary data sources, primary data was collected through interviews with respondents, while secondary data came from the Central Statistics Agency and literature studies. The results of the study show that the three factors such as location, product, and promotion show that the location, product, and promotion factors have a significant effect on the interest of non-Muslims in using BSI savings products, and from the results of the study, it is found that the interest of non-Muslim people is still categorized as low with an indicator of <50% to save at Bank Syariah Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes consumer perceptions of Samsung products promoted by BTS's Suga as a brand ambassador, focusing on the impact of the controversial issue related to DUI involving Suga. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through an open-ended questionnaire distributed online to Samsung consumers and BTS fans (ARMY). The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify dominant themes in consumer perceptions. The results of the study indicate that despite the controversial issue involving BTS's Suga as Samsung's brand ambassador, consumer perceptions of Samsung products have a positive view, although there are some weaknesses identified. Suga's influence as a brand ambassador is more pronounced among BTS fans, who feel an emotional connection with their idol. However, many respondents were not affected by the controversial issue and continued to judge the product based on its quality. Respondents also expect Samsung to handle this issue professionally and transparently. This study emphasizes the importance of managing controversial issues and selecting the right brand ambassador in marketing strategies to maintain brand loyalty and consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of subsidized Sharia mortgage financing distribution carried out by BTN Syariah in Puri Khazanah Regency Batang Kuis Housing. Using qualitative descriptive methods, this study identifies and analyzes the experiences and challenges faced by customers in the sharia financing process. This study focuses on a housing complex with 40 units and the research approach through interviews with 10 selected customers, the results of the study indicate that some customers face payment difficulties that lead to bad debts, which are caused by economic instability. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for a more effective restructuring strategy and a more sensitive approach to the economic conditions of customers to increase the success of Sharia mortgage financing distribution. Another implication concerns the need for more intensive financial education for low-income communities, so that they understand the responsibilities and risks in mortgage financing, and have mature financial planning before making a decision to borrow. For housing developers, this study emphasizes the importance of working more closely with banks to ensure the sustainability of housing projects and customer satisfaction. Overall, this study shows that the success of the Sharia mortgage financing program depends not only on the financing agreement and structure, but also on the sensitivity of the institution to the dynamics of the community's economy. In addition, these results highlight the importance of developing more flexible and adaptive financing restructuring strategies, such as adjusting tenors or postponing installment payments under certain conditions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of home industries based on Islamic economics using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results) analysis approach, with a case study on the rattan basket business in Kualuh Selatan District. The rattan basket home industry has significant economic potential due to its foundation in local wisdom and alignment with Islamic economic principles such as justice, blessing, and collective welfare. This research uses a qualitative method with data collected through literature reviews and direct interviews with local craftsmen. The findings indicate that the main strengths of the business lie in the availability of raw materials and the skills of the artisans, while opportunities include increasing market demand and government support. The result is this business relies on traditional skills and local raw materials, and makes a significant economic contribution to the surrounding community. However, various obstacles remain, such as limited capital, traditional equipment, and limited market access. Using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) analysis approach, this study shows that internal strengths such as artisan skills and abundant raw materials can be combined with external opportunities such as government support and digital marketing. The aspiration to improve product quality, expand employment opportunities, and introduce modern technology are the main drivers for this business’s development.

Abstract

This research discusses business development strategies through productive waqf with a case study at the Asy-Syafaah Mosque, Tebing Tinggi City. Productive waqf is an innovation in waqf asset management that aims to provide sustainable economic and social benefits. The Asy-Syafaah Mosque utilizes waqf assets in the form of kiosks that are rented out to the community, and the proceeds are used to finance the operation of a free afternoon madrasa for children. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field study method, including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. SWOT analysis is used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in productive waqf management based on kiosk leasing. The results showed that productive waqf management at the Asy-Syafaah Mosque is able to provide multiple benefits, namely supporting religious education and empowering the economy of the surrounding community. The right management strategy can be a reference for other mosques in developing productive waqf as an effort to empower the economy and social community.

Abstract

The banana chip home industry in Sengon Sari Village faces challenges in business development despite having been in operation for decades. This study aims to identify development strategies for the banana chip home industry using a pentahelix approach with an Islamic economic perspective on the business owned by Mrs. Warsina in Sengon Sari Village. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques involving interviews and observations of the five pentahelix stakeholders (academics, business operators, government, community, and media). Data analysis utilized the SOAR approach (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) to identify internal strengths and external opportunities. The research findings indicate that factors related to strengths and aspirations suggest a solid potential for development. The main strategies recommended include: developing an environmentally sustainable strategy, digital promotion, market access through e-commerce, sharia financial management training, and optimizing social media for transparent promotion. The implementation of these strategies aligns with the principles of Islamic economics, which emphasize justice, honesty, tawhid, and responsible leadership, thereby enhancing business competitiveness while benefiting the wider community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in enhancing consumer shopping comfort from the perspective of Islamic business ethics at Farida Fashion Store. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using observation, interviews and documentation as data collection methods. The findings reveal that CRM is implemented through personal interactions between employees and customers, without the support of integrated digital systems. Despite this, After implementing CRM, employees became more structured in their customer service, allowing them to maintain their best service for customers such an approach has successfully built customer loyalty and increased satisfaction. From the Islamic business ethics perspective, the store applies five key principles: tauhid (oneness), justice, free will, responsibility, and ihsan (excellence). However, challenges remain, including limited human resources, minimal use of technology. However, challenges remain, such as understaffing and suboptimal technology utilization. With gradual improvements, CRM in this store can be better and provide benefits to both the business and customers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tingkat bagi hasil, inflasi, dan cost to income terhadap pembiayaan musyarakah di Bank Syariah Indonesia tahun 2024, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan keuangan Bank Syariah Indonesia tahun 2024. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 48 data dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linear berganda, uji t, uji F, serta uji koefisien determinasi menggunakan program IBM SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat bagi hasil berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pembiayaan musyarakah, inflasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembiayaan musyarakah, sedangkan cost to income berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pembiayaan musyarakah. Secara simultan, variabel tingkat bagi hasil, inflasi, dan cost to income berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembiayaan musyarakah di Bank Syariah Indonesia tahun 2024. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa faktor internal bank berupa efisiensi operasional dan tingkat bagi hasil lebih menentukan dalam mendorong pembiayaan musyarakah dibandingkan faktor eksternal seperti inflasi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between perceptions and interests in digital zakat payments among millennials in Medan City. This is based on the rapid development of technology, finance, and zakat digitalization, which significant improvements have not yet matched in national zakat collection realization. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The sample consists of 85 millennial respondents living in Medan City who have experience or knowledge of digital zakat platforms. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using validity, reliability, Pearson correlation, and linearity tests. The results indicate that millennials' perceptions of digital zakat fall into the positive category, with an average score of 65.92. Meanwhile, their interest is also classified as high, with an average of 48.16. The correlation analysis shows a positive and significant relationship between perceptions and interests in digital zakat (r = 0.563; p < 0.001). This confirms that stronger perceptions of the convenience, security, and benefits of digital zakat led to higher interest in paying zakat through digital channels. This research makes a significant contribution to designing more inclusive, educational, and relevant digital zakat collection strategies for millennials in the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan anggaran dana dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cabang Medan Utara. Anggaran dana yang dikelola dengan baik diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas operasional dan kualitas layanan kepada peserta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pencapaian target anggaran serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pihak terkait di BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, serta analisis dokumen seperti Rencana Kegiatan dan Anggaran Tahunan (RKAT) dan laporan keuangan. Metode analisis yang digunakan meliputi analisis deskriptif dan analisis varians untuk membandingkan anggaran yang direncanakan dengan realisasi yang dicapai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa realisasi anggaran pada tahun 2022 melampaui target yang ditetapkan, dengan pencapaian pendapatan sebesar 110,02% dari RKAT. Efisiensi dalam pengelolaan beban operasional juga tercermin dari realisasi yang lebih rendah dibandingkan anggaran yang direncanakan. Namun, meskipun terdapat peningkatan aset neto yang signifikan pada tahun 2022, proyeksi tahun 2023 menunjukkan adanya penurunan, yang mengindikasikan kebijakan investasi atau strategi alokasi dana yang lebih konservatif. Selain itu, partisipasi dalam penyusunan anggaran terbukti berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan akuntabilitas dan efektivitas dalam pengelolaan anggaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan anggaran yang sistematis dan berbasis data berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Oleh karena itu, optimalisasi perencanaan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi anggaran perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan agar dapat terus memberikan manfaat yang maksimal bagi peserta.
