Abstract

The vocational agribusiness education curriculum plays a crucial role in producing skilled workers ready to face the challenges of a modern and dynamic agricultural sector. However, there are significant differences among educational institutions in terms of curriculum development, implementation, and its alignment with the needs of the business and industrial sectors (DUDI). This study aims to compare the vocational agribusiness education curricula of five different institutions in 2022 and to analyze the extent to which curriculum structure, learning approaches, soft skills enhancement, relevance to DUDI, and technology integration are applied. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a comparative study method. Data were collected through document analysis, interviews, and observations at five institutions: Universitas Doktor Husni Ingratubun Papua, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Kalimantan Selatan, Universitas Galuh, Universitas Brawijaya, and Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Mujahidin Toli-Toli. Data were analyzed thematically through the processes of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the curricula of Universitas Brawijaya and Universitas Galuh are more structured and competency-based compared to the others. Project-based learning and teaching factory approaches have been introduced but are not yet evenly implemented. Technology integration remains limited, while soft skills development is not yet a central focus. Additionally, relevance to DUDI is stronger in institutions with active partnerships. This study recommends the standardization of a nationally competency-based curriculum, strengthening collaboration with DUDI, and enhancing technology and soft skills integration in vocational agribusiness education

Abstract

The This study aims to examine the role of vocational education in promoting the adoption of modern agricultural technologies in remote areas, with a specific focus on the Lampung region. The rapid development of agricultural technologies requires farmers to possess strong technical competencies in order to enhance both productivity and the sustainability of farming practices. Vocational education serves as an alternative educational model that emphasizes practical and applicable skills, making it highly relevant to the real-world needs of farmers. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as surveys, in-depth interviews, and direct observations. The findings are expected to inform the development of vocational education policies that are responsive to local needs. Moreover, the study aims to formulate strategies to optimize the role of vocational education in supporting the digital transformation of agriculture. This research is crucial for strengthening food security and promoting sustainable rural development in the era of modernization. This study contributes to the academic and policy discourse by highlighting the pivotal role of vocational education in bridging the gap between technological advancement and practical implementation in rural farming communities. It offers a contextualized framework for integrating vocational training into agricultural development strategies and provides actionable insights for policymakers, educators, and development practitioners working to modernize agriculture in remote areas.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies employed by teachers to enhance the motivation of senior high school students in learning English at SMAN 1 Barru, Indonesia. Student motivation is a crucial factor influencing learning outcomes; yet, many learners struggle with low engagement, limited confidence, and anxiety when using English. Addressing this issue is essential for enhancing language proficiency and supporting national education objectives. A qualitative descriptive design was adopted, with data collected through semi-structured interviews involving six tenth-grade students. The interviews were analysed using Miles and Huberman's (2014) framework to identify recurring themes and patterns. The results revealed that two primary strategies — Active Learning and Reward Systems — significantly boosted student motivation. Active learning, through techniques such as group discussions, gamified quizzes, and brainstorming, created opportunities for collaboration, participation, and self-expression. Reward Systems, including praise, certificates, and bonus points, provided reinforcement that encouraged effort and perseverance. Together, these strategies not only increased enthusiasm but also reduced learning anxiety, making English learning more enjoyable and meaningful. The novelty of this study lies in highlighting how the combination of intrinsic and extrinsic approaches can sustain motivation in Indonesian EFL classrooms. This context has often been overlooked in prior research. The findings offer practical insights for teachers seeking to balance innovative methods with culturally relevant motivational practices. Future research involving larger and more diverse samples, along with teacher perspectives, is recommended to strengthen the applicability of these strategies across different educational contexts.

Abstract

The drill method is serious repetitive activities do the same thing to strengthen or hone skills and make it permanent. The aim of this research is 1) To find out how to apply the drill method in mathematics lessons in class 4 at SDN 039 Air Terbit, 2) To find out whether the drill method is able to overcome students’ difficulties in understanding mathematics lessons, 3) To increase students’ learning motivation by applying the drill method in mathematics lessons in class 4 at SDN 039 Air Terbit. The method in this research uses classroom action research.. PTK is an approach to improving education through change by encouraging teachers to think about ttheir own practice so that they are critical of these actors an teachers want to change them. The results of this research are that students’ learning motivation is increasing. This can be seen from the results of the initial test. Learning engagement increased from 30% to 45% at the end of cycle 1 test and increased again at the end of cycle 2 test to 80%. So from the test result above it can be concluded that learning using the drill method can increase students’ learning motivation in mathematics lessons, the material on operations for calculating fractions can be seen from the increased learning result, so student motivation also increases.

Abstract

Pangan lokal merupakan makanan yang biasa diolah dan disajikan oleh masyarakat di suatu wilayah tertentu berdasarkan potensi dan kearifan lokal. Pengolahan pangan lokal erat kaitannya dengan preferensi konsumsi lokal, teknologi, pengetahuan dan bahan baku lokal. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa demo masak pangan lokal dengan bahan pangan utama yaitu buah pisang terhadap kader PKK/Posyandu di desa Cipicung, Sukatani, Purwakarta. Kegiatan demo masak ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 September 2023. Berdasarkan hasil survey diketahui bahwa peserta demo masak merasa puas dan mendapat manfaat dari materi yang disampaikan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema demo masak pangan lokal memberikan pengetahuan baru mengenai cara pengolahan makanan yaitu barongko pisang termasuk asal makanan, bahan-bahan yang digunakan hingga zat gizi yang terkandung dari setiap komposisi bahan pangan. Abstract

Aklimatisasi panas merupakan proses adaptasi fisiologis yang penting bagi atlet untuk mempertahankan performa optimal dalam lingkungan bersuhu tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas berbagai metode aklimatisasi panas terhadap performa atlet di berbagai cabang olahraga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, yang melibatkan analisis berbagai sumber ilmiah dan data empiris terkait mekanisme fisiologis serta dampak aklimatisasi panas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aklimatisasi panas meningkatkan kapasitas termoregulasi tubuh, menurunkan detak jantung saat beraktivitas, serta meningkatkan efisiensi kinerja fisik dan mental atlet. Perbedaan efektivitas metode aklimatisasi tergantung pada durasi, intensitas, dan strategi yang diterapkan, di mana metode bertahap lebih optimal dibandingkan metode aklimatisasi singkat. Implementasi program aklimatisasi masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan adaptasi individu. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan yang terstruktur dan berbasis bukti ilmiah sangat diperlukan agar aklimatisasi panas dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam program latihan atlet.
