Abstract

Pemanfaatan bahan baku bambu salah satunya adalah pembuatan tusuk sate, bambu dipilih sebagai bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan tusuk sate dikarenakan bambu mudah didapat, mudah dibentuk dan merupakan bahan organik sehingga tidak mencemari lingkungan. Proses pembuatan tusuk sate meliputi beberapa tahapan seperti penebangan, pemotongan, pemangkasan, pembelahan, pengiratan, penghalusan, pengasahan, dan pengawetan. Terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam memenuhi permintaan pasar yang tinggi, Salah satunya adalah  tantangan dalam penyimpanan dan pendistribusian hasil akhir yang berkaitan dengan pengawetan dan dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kualitas produk. Inovasi ini menawarkan solusi  dalam pengelolaan sistem penyimpanan atau pengawetan. Teknologi smart container dengan sensor pintar membantu memantau dan mengontrol kondisi lingkungan container secara real-time. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, sosialisasi, perencanaan dan perancangan, produksi dan pengujian alat, distribusi dan pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta keberlanjutan program.  Hasil dari program pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kapasitas, kuantitas, serta kualitas produksi. Kami berharap dengan penerapan teknologi ini, UMKM Biting Jaya mampu memenuhi ekspektasi pasar, memperkuat brand image, dan meningkatkan daya saing.  Kata kunci: UMKM, Smart Container, Tusuk Sate, IoT, Pengawetan

Abstract

This research aims to describe the students’ metacognitive failure in constructing proof and the scaffolding support. The participants of this qualitative case study were eight preservice mathematics teachers of six-semester, State University of Malang. We carried out a test about proof construction problems in Abstract Algebra. Then we verified the data using triangulation of constant comparative method from a test and a task-based interview with the stimulated recall. The results indicated two groups of students in proving strategy.  Group I performed “appropriate” syntactic strategy and Group II vice versa. Blindness was experienced by the subject that does not recognize errors detection or the ambiguity of the proof. Mirage occurred when the subject recognizes an error detection on the proper strategy or application of a theorem, then is unable to verify the truth of his work. Misdirection appeared when the subject recognizes a lack of progress, then uses an incomplete or irrelevant concept. Vandalism emerged with no progress or detection of errors of the strategy then the subject performs some irrelevant steps to the issue or uses a misconception. Practically, the teachers can use these results for learning innovations in scaffolding-based proof courses. The scaffolding might need some development and application in supporting students to overcome difficulty in proving mathematical sentences.

Abstract

 This study aims to develop learning media with a visual manipulative approach from rainbow materials in matrix learning so that it can increase the effectiveness of mathematics learning with the use of learning media as one approach that has been proven effective in supporting student understanding. This study is included in research and development using the ADDIE development model. The stages in the ADDIE development model include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects for observation and testing in this study were all female students of grade XI-9 of SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Data from these instruments were analyzed using a one-shot case study pattern. The results of the study indicate that the rainbow matrix learning media is valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning in SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya class XI on the material of determinants and matrix multiplication.

Abstract

Integers are an important topic in mathematics that students must understand well. However, in practice, many students face difficulties in understanding integer operations. One way to address this issue is by using a number line manipulative that employs Dienes' steps. This research is qualitative, with a case study approach. The subjects consisted of three 6th-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The three subjects had varying mathematical abilities: high, medium, and low. The learning activities used six steps of Dienes. The instruments used were observation sheets, interview guidelines, and a test consisting of eight questions related to the addition and subtraction of integers. Data collection techniques followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that learning using Dienes' steps with integer manipulatives successfully addressed students' difficulties in performing integer operations, especially in problems involving operations with two adjacent signs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the content of statistical literacy in the independent curriculum textbooks found on the Merdeka Teaching Platform (PMM). This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method, namely by describing the information obtained in non-numerical form. The data collection process is carried out using content analysis, which is a systematic and in-depth examination of the content of a particular material in order to identify patterns, themes, and biases. The textbooks selected in this study consisted of 4 textbooks, 1 grade I textbook, 2 grade IV textbooks and 1 grade V textbook. The analysis of statistical literacy content in Mathematics textbooks at the PMM elementary school level is carried out on 4 books that have presented statistical literacy content according to the applicable curriculum. The cognitive level of statistical literacy skills presented in the book includes understanding, application, evaluation and reasoning.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the need for learning media in the independent curriculum in elementary schools in Talun District, Blitar Regency, based on the numeracy ranking on the education report card. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used was observation, interviews and documentation. The population in this study were all elementary schools in Talun District, Blitar Regency. The sampling technique in this research uses a purposive sampling technique where the sample is divided into three numerical ranks in the education report, namely upper, middle and lower. Based on the research results, it shows that several elementary schools in SD in Talun District, Blitar Regency have maximized the use of media in carrying out the learning process. For certain subjects, such as local content, some teachers in several schools have difficulty developing learning media so they rarely use media to convey material to students.

Abstract

The research focus in this article is to describe the results of preliminary research and initial critical thinking skills in elementary school students, especially in mathematics subjects. The research subjects were class VI students at SDN Tunge 2, Wates District, Kediri Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024. The research method used in this article is descriptive qualitative. Data was obtained through critical thinking skills instruments, questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews. The data was then analyzed descriptively. The results of questionnaires and interviews show that most teachers teach by lectures and assignments. The research results from the critical thinking ability instrument show that the initial ability to think critically overall it is still very lacking. Critical thinking ability is measured using six indicators which includes  interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation and self-regulation. The highest indicator of critical thinking ability is interpretation with a gain percentage of 32.14%, while the lowest indicator is explanation with a gain percentage of 1.43%.

Abstract

Geometry and measurement affect our daily lives, both personal and sociocultural. Geometry is one of the contents in numeracy taught at every level of education. This study aimed to determine mathematics teachers' design of numeracy tasks using geometry and measurement content. Ninety-three math problems were collected from mathematics teachers in 31 Padang Pariaman districts, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Teachers were given problem-posing tasks and then asked to design numeracy tasks. To analyze, the tasks were classified as solvable or unsolvable and then further divided into context use level and cognitive process level domains. The numeracy context (personal, sociocultural, and scientific) was also analyzed. The study found that the tasks created had varying levels of context utilization, ranging from zero to second-order context. Most of the activities proposed were at the comprehension level, with just a tiny number designated as thinking functions in terms of cognitive processes. Some teachers' draft numeracy tasks in geometry content are discussed further.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa tema 8 subtema 1 dan 3 pada pembelajaran 3 dan 4 dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran flipbook berbasis online pada siswa kelas IV UPT SD Negeri 3 Tulungagung, Kecamatan Gadingrejo, Kabupaten Pringsewu, Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Hasil dan aktivitas belajar yang rendah menjadi salah satu alasan penelitian ini dilaksanakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran Flipbook berbasis online dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV UPT SD Negeri 3 Tulungagung pada tema 8 subtema 1 dan 3 pembelajaran 3 dan 4. Peningkatan hasil belajar dapat diketahui melalui hasil evaluasi pembelajaran di akhir proses pembelajaran. Sebelum tindakan nilai rata-rata seluruh siswa adalah 68,4 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 39,4 %. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 72,9 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 66,6 %, dan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata meningkat lagi menjadi 81,8 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 81,8 %..

Abstract

This study aims to describe student positioning in mathematics group discussion practices. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 8 junior high school students who were divided into 2 groups. The researcher conducted the research for 3 meetings. Each meeting students were given questions about tubes and cones. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, documentation, and interviews regarding student interactions, conversations, and discussion activities. Data analysis was carried out by coding student conversations through negotiation and positioning systems. The results of the study stated that positioning is dynamic and changing, each student has a tendency in one of the positioning, and motivation is one of the characteristics of students who are positioned as facilitators.  Knowing the positioning of each student is used as a reference for teachers to understand student characteristics, the right learning style for students, how to communicate with students, and give objective grades to students.
