Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of problem-based learning (PBL) models to the critical thinking skills of 5th graders at Elementary School. The method used in this research is classroom action research. In this study, there are two data, namely verbal data and nonverbal data. The research subjects were elementary school students in grade 5 in the city of Madiun. The collecting data using observation techniques, interviews and tests. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire and a test. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis uses questionnaire data and observation, while quantitative data uses test results. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills in thematic learning from cycle 1 and cycle 2. An increase in students' critical thinking skills in cycle I is 30%, students who pass the Minimum Completeness Criteria, and 60% of the second cycle in each cycle. The more students experience an increase in their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran menyimak cerita pendek melalui penggunaan model Cooperative Script dan (2) meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak cerita pendek siswa melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Cooperative Script. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Bulak 1 Bendo, Magetan, sedangkan objek penelitian ini pembelajaran menyimak cerpen mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Proses pembelajaran pada aspek perhatian, keseriusan, dan keaktifan terjadi peningkatan dari pra tindakan hingga siklus II. Dilihat dari hasil tes, menunjukkan bahwa model Cooperative Script mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak siswa. Hal itu terbukti dari nilai evaluasi yang didapat siswa mengalami peningkatan. Pada pra tindakan nilai rata-rata kelas yaitu 62, pada siklus I rata-rata kelas 75,5, sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata kelas yaitu 89. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menyimak siswa mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the application of character-based interactive multimedia in learning to write short stories for primary school grade 6. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. This study has verbal data, namely the results of recording character-based interactive multimedia implementation activities on learning to write short stories for primary school grade 6. Nonverbal data in this study is the value of the evaluation of students' short story writing skills. Subjects in this study were teachers and students of grade 6 primary school. This study uses data collection techniques, namely (a) observation, (b) interviews, and (c) tests, (d) documentation. The technique used to analyze data analysis data is interactive data analysis techniques. There are three stages (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, and (c) conclusion. The application of character-based interactive multimedia has been implemented in accordance with the plans that have been made by the teacher as outlined in the Learning Implementation Plan. Based on the results of the evaluations that have been given, the short story writing skills of primary school grade 6 are good enough. This was seen in the average writing value of 78.3% of 15 students. There were 5 students who received a score of 70. There were 5 students who scored 80, while the other 5 students got a score of 85. Minimum completeness criteria for Indonesian language study were 75. It showed that there were 5 students who had not yet completed or 33.3%, while students who have completed there are 10 students or as much as 66.7%

Abstract

This research aims to know the video-assisted note-taking guide method to improve the listening skills of elementary school 1st graders during the covid-19 pandemic. This study is a class action study. Teachers and elementary school 1st graders were the data sources for the study. The data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, and tests. The research procedures in each cycle are (1) action planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observations, (4) reflections. To analyze data using qualitative descriptive techniques and comparative descriptive. Based on the research that has been carried out, the research results can be known; namely, the improvement of listening skills of elementary school 1st-grade students after implementing the guide note-taking method assisted video. It is known that before being given the action, there are still many students who completed by 20%. After being given the action in cycle 1, students' grades increased by 75%. In this second cycle, all students have received complete grades.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aim to describe grammatical cohesion sign in the short story "Kunang-kunang di Langit Jakarta" by Agus Noor. This research is qualitative. Data source is the short story of “Kunang-kunang di Langit Jakarta” by Agus Noor. Data collection techniques which used by researcher is document analysis. Content analysis techniques in this study is using an interactive model that consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. From the analysis of the data, it was concluded that the discourse of short stories “Kunang-kunang di Langit Jakarta” is a coherent discourse because it is supported by the cohesion grammatical markers. Grammatical cohesion which used in the short story are:  reference, elipsis, and conjunctions. Each aspect of grammatical cohesion, has a role in the formation of the text, so the story of “Kunang-kunang di Langit Jakarta” can be arranged in a coherent. With the cohesion of discourse will look cohesiveness, so the reader will be easier to understand the discourse. Keywords: grammatical cohesion, short stories Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penanda kohesi gramatikal dalam cerpen “Kunang-Kunang Di Langit Jakarta” karya Agus Noor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber datanya adalah cerpen Kunang-Kunang Di Langit Jakarta karya Agus Noor. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis isi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data, sajian data,  dan penarikan simpulan dan verifikasi. Dari hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa wacana cerpen Kunang-kunang di Langit Jakarta merupakan sebuah wacana yang padu karena didukung oleh penanda kohesi gramatikal. Kohesi gramatikal yang terdapat pada cerpen ada tigat, yaitu Referensi, pelesapan, dan konjungsi.  Masing-masing aspek dari kohesi gramatikal, memiliki peran dalam pembentukan teks dalam wacana, sehingga wacana cerpen Kunang-kunang di Langit Jakarta dapat tersusun secara koheren. Dengan adanya kohesi wacana akan terlihat kepaduannya, sehingga pembaca akan lebih mudah memahami wacana tersebut. Kata Kunci: kohesi gramatikal, cerpen

Abstract

Masculinity in Javanese People: How does Arjuna Masculinity Describe in Javanese version of Mahabharata. Masculinity is a form of maleness construction toward man. Man is not just born with his masculinity naturally, instead it is formed by culture. In a puppetry figure, Arjuna figure is a description of man for Javanese people. Arjuna has a Javanese knight figure. This research, therefore, aims to find out and describe the masculinity of Arjuna’s character in Javanese Mahabharata story by Nano Riantiarno. Data used in the research is lingual units, which are sentences in discourses. The research data source uses a book entitled “Mahabarata Jawa (Javanese Mahabharata)” by Nano Riantiarno. The analysis technique is document analysis with interactive model as its data analysis technique. The research result indicates that there is a figure of Arjuna in the Javanese Mahabharata story that has masculinity characters. There are three masculinity characters of Arjuna, namely: Be a Big Wheel, Be a Sturdy, Give em Hell.

Abstract

The term Wayang Sasak refers to the puppet that developed and was staged in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This study aims to describe the form of code mixing, code switching, and language variations in Sasak puppet performances. The source of the data was taken from the Sasak puppet performance with a play entitled "Sosialisasi Pencegahan Penularan Covid-19 di NTB" which was performed by dalang Lalu Nasib. This puppet performance is a form of socialization conducted by the Regional Secretariat of West Nusa Tenggara Province to provide education to the community. The results showed that the code switching and code mixing occurred in the performance. In addition, there are variations on ideolects, dialects and sociolects.

Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of Elementary School Teacher Skills in Applying Learning Variations. This study aims to determine the skills of primary school teachers in applying variations of learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted in Purwosari Elementary School. The subjects used in this study were 5th grade teachers. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques using interactive model data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are Purwosari elementary school teachers have implemented a variety of learning in accordance with the planned implementation of learning.Keywords: Teacher Skills, Learning VariationsAbstrak: Analisis Keterampilan Guru Sekolah Dasar dalam Menerapkan Variasi Pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan keterampilan guru SD dalam menerapkan variasi pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif deskriptif.. Tempat dilaknakan penelitian yaitu di Sekolah dasar Purwosari.  Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas 5. Dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis data model interaktif yaitu berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu guru SDN Purwosari  sudah menerapkan variasi belajar yang sesuai dengan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang telah disusun.Kata Kunci : Keterampilan Guru, Variasi Pembelajaran

Abstract

Semakin berkembangnya zaman di era revolusi 4.0, guru-guru di sekolah dituntut mampu dalam hal penguasaan kompetensi guru, salah satunya penguasaan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran. Kurangnya pengetahuan guru-guru di SDN Tanjung, 02 mengenai inovasi media pembelajaran dapat menimbulkan siswa kurang termotivasi dalam pembelajaran, khususnya media pembelajaran 3D. Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan media pembelajaran berbentuk pop-up book adalah guru mendapatkan pengetahuan atau wawasan mengenai pentingnya media pembelajaran pop-up book dalam menunjang pembelajaran di kelas, guru mampu membuat media pop-up book, guru mampu membuat media pop-up book  yang menarik dan kreatif. Hasil pelatihan ini adalah guru-guru SDN Tanjung 02 memberikan respons yang positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan. Para guru juga dapat mengembangkan kreativitas mereka selama pembuatan media pop-up book. Dengan demikian, literasi dasar siswa dalam membaca dan menulis akan meningkat pula.
