This type of research is qualitative, with the types and sources of data, namely primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in this study were through interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the researcher's data analysis technique consisted of data reduction, data presentation, verification and checking the validity of the data. After the data is collected, the next step is to analyze the data, with stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The results show that the implementation of the independent curriculum learning leads to Pancasila students which aims to realize Indonesian students as lifelong students who have global competence and behave in accordance with Pancasila values, with six main characteristics, namely faith, fear of God Almighty, and noble character. This is carried out well in madrasas because monotheism and moral education are the foundation for schools. Global diversity means that students in madrasas are educated to recognize and understand the context between nations so that a sense of tolerance and togetherness arises. Mutual cooperation in madrasas is accustomed to group work so that cooperation and mutual assistance is built, and it is also accustomed to caring for others. Independent attitude is independence taught in madrasas, which aims to make students have strong personalities, do not depend on others, and think critically. For madrasas, the attitude of critical reasoning aims to make students active, and have strong thinking power so that students become creative.

Abstract

Abstract

Student character building is one of the primary goals of education in Indonesia, particularly in Islamic educational institutions such as State Islamic Senior High Schools (MAN). Effective character education focuses not only on cognitive aspects but also on students' affective and social aspects. One new approach introduced to support this goal is the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC), which places the values of love, empathy, and respect as the main foundation of the learning process. This study uses literature review and theoretical studies to analyze the effectiveness of the KBC in shaping the character of MAN students, as well as the challenges and opportunities for its implementation in the context of Islamic education. The study results indicate that the KBC has the potential to improve character values such as empathy, responsibility, discipline, and social goodness in students, although its implementation requires adequate policy support, teacher training, and affective evaluation.

Abstract

This study looks at how elementary school teachers at SMP N 1 Makarti Jaya use role-modeling techniques to help students internalize a love-based curriculum. The development of compassion, empathy, respect, accountability, and spiritual awareness are emphasized in a love-based curriculum as fundamental character traits included into regular educational activities. The study uses a case study design and a qualitative methodology. In-depth interviews with educators and school administrators, classroom observations, and document analysis were used to gather data. Thematic analysis was used to examine the data in order to find patterns of teachers' exceptional activities. The results show that internalizing the values of love in both academic and extracurricular situations is greatly aided by teacher role modeling. Teachers exhibit consistency in their words and deeds, engage in courteous communication, empathize with their students, and include moral principles into the curriculum. Value internalization is further reinforced by habituation techniques, introspective dialogues, and cooperative exercises. Through organized character-building programs, mutual respect among students, and religious activities, the school culture also promotes the execution of the love-based curriculum. The study comes to the conclusion that instructors' personal integrity and capacity to serve as genuine role models for pupils are critical to the success of a love-based curriculum. In addition to influencing students' cognitive comprehension of values, teacher exemplary also molds their attitudes and actions. Therefore, maintaining the internalization of love-based ideals in Islamic educational institutions requires enhancing teachers' character and professional growth.

Abstract

This study aims to conceptually analyze the relationship between Human Resource Management (HRM) practices and teacher performance, with work engagement as a mediating variable. The study employed a qualitative approach with library research. Data were obtained through literature analysis over the past five years (2020–2025) from reputable international journals and accredited national journals. The synthesis results indicate that strategic HRM practices such as continuous training, competency-based performance evaluation systems, fair compensation, and transformational leadership significantly influence work engagement. Furthermore, work engagement was shown to be the primary psychological mechanism mediating the relationship between HRM practices and teacher performance improvement. These findings reinforce Strategic Human Resource Management theory and research findings in The International Journal of Human Resource Management (2022) and Human Resource Management Journal (2021). This study concludes that optimizing strategic and humanistic-based HRM systems is key to continuously improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This research examines Teacher Interpersonal Communication Patterns in the Management of Islamic Character Development at Insan Mulia Rabbani Integrated Elementary School in Talang Ubi District. The study aims to explore the interpersonal communication methods of educators and the management tactics used in instilling Islamic character, particularly through the core activities of Islamic Personal Development (Bina Pribadi Islami/BPI). Information collection utilized triangulation (in-depth interviews, observation, and document review). Data analysis was conducted inductively and interactively, encompassing data condensation to identify key points, structured presentation of findings, and drawing valid conclusions. The main conclusion indicates that verbal interactions between teachers and students are highly flexible and personal, emphasizing exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah) and adapting the language of advice. Key management tactics include the implementation of graduated sanctions and the alignment of school values with the family environment through the Amal Yaumiyah program. Although the strategy has been implemented, crucial obstacles have emerged, such as the limited time allocated for BPI and minimal parental participation (approximately 20%). Based on these findings, the study suggests improving resources and establishing a more flexible communication approach, aimed at strengthening internal coordination and increasing the active role of external parties for the sustainability of character building.
