This research are less of the studentâs activity and the low of the studentâs comprehention mathematics concept in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to know how the studentâs activity  during learning process that apply technique Quick on The Draw and to determine that students comprehension mathematicalâs concept by implementation of technique Quick on The Draw  better than students comprehension mathematicalâs concept by implementation conventional learning in the class VIII SMPN 2 Rao Pasaman. The research type is experimental research, and the design was subject with a random. The population this research are students of class VIII SMPN 2 Rao Pasaman Academic Year 2012/2013. Samples were taken at random. The instrument in this research are observation sheet and final test students comprehension mathematicalâs concept. The test form of essay test with reliability test 0,83. Based on result of analysis observation sheet gain that the student more active during learning process that apply technique Quick on The Draw. The data analysis section  is U Mann-Whitney test by using Minitab. Hypotesis of research accepted because p-value  less than 0,05. Thus, it can be concluded that students comprehension mathematicalâs concept by implementation of technique Quick on The Draw better than students comprehension mathematicalâs concept by implementation conventional learning in the class VIII SMPN 2 Rao Pasaman Academic Year 2012/2013..

This research is motivated by the difficulty students answer the teachers questions about previous material and students comprehension of mathematical concepts are still low. This study aimed to determine whether the learning outcomes of students comprehension of mathematical concepts are applied to the type of active learning strategies Index Card Match (ICM) accompanied Handout better than the learning outcomes of students who applied to conventional teaching. This type of research is experimental research, the research design Against Random Subjects. The data analysis technique used is the one party t test with the help of MINITAB software. Hypothesis test results obtained p-value equal to 0.041 means less than α = 0.05, then the hypothesis in this study received thus concluded that the learning outcomes of students comprehension of mathematical concepts are applied to the type of active learning strategies Index Card Match (ICM) with more Handout better learning outcomes than students who applied to conventional teaching in class VIII SMP 24 Padang.

ABSTRACTThis research background by the studentsâ not focus when the teacher explain a matery ability and studentâs understanding of mathematical consept was low, then students lazy to note about subject when the teacher explain it. This research was designed for revealing whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Guided Note Taking active learning strategy assisted with a quiz was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 8 Sijunjung. This was an experimental research. Based on the result of data analysis, it was figured out that the studentsâ mathematics conceptual understanding kept improving from a meeting to the next one. In addition, the result of hypothesis test showed that P-value (0,005) was smaller than  = 0,05 indicating that the hypothesis was accepted on 95% of realibility. Based on the result, it was concluded tha the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Guided Note Taking active learning strategy assisted with a Quiz was better tha that of students taught by using conventional learnig.

ABSTRACTThis research was based on the students who were not interested in math and the students whose understanding of mathematical concept was low. This research is aimed at knowing the students understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of the technique of quick on the draw is better than the students understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of conventional learning. The kind of the research was the experimental research with the random device to the subject class VIII.2 was chosen as experimental class and class VIII.3 as control class. The instrument used was the test understanding of mathematical concept in the form of essay in reliability 0.971. Based on the data analysis result, it was known that two sample classes were distributed normally, homogeny and tcount = 1.74 and ttable = 1.675 because tcount  > ttable with  = 0,05 those, the hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, it was concluded that the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of quick on the draw technique is better than the students understanding of  mathematical concept with the apply of conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 13 of Sijunjung.

 This research is motivated by the lack capability of mathematical communication students as well as students are less interested in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine whether students capability of mathematical communication by applying hollywood squares review strategies better than the students capability of mathematical communication by applying conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang school year 2013/2014. This was an experimental research and applied random research toward the subject. Based on the perceived data analysis, the class sample has normally distributed and homogeneous. Data analysis techniques are used to test the hypothesis is not a party with the help of MINITAB software. Hypothesis test results obtained P-value= 0.000 is less than α= 0.05, then reject H0, so the hypothesis in this study received. It can be concluded that the capability of mathematical communication students with hollywood squares review strategies better than the students capability of mathematical communication by applying conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 11 Padang school year 2013/2014.

ABSTRACT The background of this research is about studentâs understanding of mathematical concept are low. It seen from the result of studentâs learning class VIII SMPN 3 Batang Anai Academic Year 2013/2014. The aim from this research is to know the studentâs uderstanding of mathematical concepts by implementing active learning strategies type Learning Tournament better than studentâs uderstanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning class VIII SMP 3 Batang Anai. This research is experimental with random desaign on the subject. The instrument used this research is studentâs uderstanding of  mathematical concept test. The type of test is essay with reliabilitas test is = 0.97. Data  analysis technique used is the one parties t-test. Based on the calculation results of data alnalisys that the class normally distributed sample with  and . Hypothesis test results obtained   then the hypothesis in this research is received. ABSTRACTThis research was based on the the studentsâ low understanding of mathematical concept and the studens still not   commonly involved in problem solving. The purpose of this research wasto know what are the studentâs understanding of mathematical concept by usingPBI learningbetter than studentâs understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The research population was a class X student of MAN Kajai Kec. Talamau Kab. Pasaman Barat. Sample of the research was X.A as experimental class and X.B as control class. The instrument used is an essay test with reliability 0,96. The techniques of data analysis were done to used the t-test a side. Based on analysis result Tvaluewas 1,792 and Ttable was 1,710 then the hypothesis in this research was accepted. Therefore it was concluded that the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by usingPBI  learning  better than the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning in class X MAN Kajai Kec. ABSTRACT The background of this research is about students understanding of mathematical concepts is still low and they prefer copy answers without understand and consider its true. The aims of this research is to know the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model pair exchange technigue is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in VIII grade SMPN 22 Padang. The kind of this research is experimental research by random design towards the subject. The population in this research was students in VIII grade SMPN 22 Padang in school year 2013/2014. The sample Class were chosen is VIII.8 class as experimental class and VIII.6 class as control class . The instrument which was used is final test which is essay  from with reliability is  = 0.89. Based on calculations of data analysis using t-test of the side obtained = 2.50 and = 1.67 . So  >  thus it can be concluded that students understanding of mathematical concepts apply cooperative learning model pair exchange technique is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in VIII SMPN 22 Padang .

ABSTRACTThe low learning outcomes of students in SMPN 11 Sijunjung as a background of this research. The purpose of this research is to know, what are the studentâs understanding of mathematical concept by using cooperative learning strategy give respects and matter better than student understanding of mathematical concept by using convensional. Type of the research is eksperimental research. The research population was a class VIII student of SMPN 11 Sijunjung academic year 2013/2014. Technique of random sampling, with a sample grade  VIII1 and VIII5. Data collection instrument was a test of understanding of mathematical concept. The test form used is an essay test were 8 items about the reliability of the test is r11 = 0,88. The techniques of data analysis were done to used the t-test a side. Based on hypothesis  testing is obtained because tvalues > ttable. Then the hypothesis in this research was received. ABSTRACTThis research based on lowest of students understanding of mathematical concept, the fear of them to give their opinion or  answer the teacherâs questions. Also, students do not active in learning process in class VIII SMPN 38 Sijunjung. The purpose of this research is to know studentâs understanding of mathematical concept by using learning active guided teaching is better than using convensional strategy at students class VIII SMPN 38 Sijunjung. Kind of this research is experiment by using random research about subject instrument used in this  with research is test understanding of mathematical concept concept. Kind of the test is essay reliabilitas of test 0,7. Based on result of data analized knowed that sample class are normal and homegenous. The result of hyphotesis test is p-value is smaller than α, so the hyphotesis is acceptance.it was that the mathematical conceptual understanding of the students taught by using learning active strategy guided teaching is better than using convensional  learning.Â
