Abstract

Molecular shapes and intermolecular interactions materials were quite difficult because it was related to abstract concept that must be presented with multiple representations, so it was necessary to procure PBL-MR (Problem Based Learning-Multiple Representation)-based teaching materials to present this concept in concrete way. This study aimed to develop student e-worksheet based on PBL-MR in molecular shape and intermolecular interactions materials using flip builder application. The method used is Research and Development (R & D), with the Plomp model. This method consisted of three phases, namely (a) preliminary research phase, (b) development phase and (c) assessment phase. Evaluation of the validation was carried out by 3 media experts and 3 material experts. 1-1 test which was assessed by 3 students from the SAF school in Pekanbaru. Small scale with users response to assess practicality by 3 teachers and 30 students from 3 schools, namely MP1, SP2 and SAF in Pekanbaru. The results showed that student e-worksheet was rated very valid with average percentages of material experts 93.83% and media experts 100%; test 1-1 got comments from students and improvement of questions in student e-worksheet; teacher and student responses got average percentages of 95.83% and 84.23% with very practical category. In conclusion, the student e-worksheet was very valid and very practical, so it was suitable for use in chemistry learning.AbstrakMateri bentuk molekul dan interaksi antar molekul tergolong sulit karena terkait dengan konsep abstrak yang harus disajikan dengan multi representasi, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengadaan bahan ajar berbasis PBL-MR (Problem Based Learning-Multiple Representation) untuk menyajikan konsep ini secara konkret. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-LKPD berbasis PBL-MR pada materi bentuk molekul dan interaksi antar molekul menggunakan aplikasi flip builder. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R & D), dengan model Plomp. Metode ini terdiri dari tiga fase, yaitu (a) fase penelitian pendahuluan, (b) fase pengembangan dan (c) fase penilaian. Penilaian validasi dilakukan oleh 3 orang ahli media dan 3 orang ahli materi. Uji 1-1 dinilai oleh 3 orang siswa dari sekolah SAF Pekanbaru. Uji skala kecil dengan respon pengguna untuk menilai kepraktisan oleh 3 orang guru dan 30 orang siswa dari 3 sekolah, yaitu MP1, SP2 dan SAF di Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-LKPD dinilai sangat valid dengan persentase rata-rata ahli materi 93,83% dan ahli media 100%; uji 1-1 mendapatkan komentar siswa dan perbaikan soal dalam e-LKPD; respon guru dan siswa memperoleh persentase rata-rata 95.83% dan 84,23% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Abstract

The research results are presented based on gender, certification status, work location, and work years. Based on gender, male teachers have slightly better TPACK abilities than female teachers. Based on certification status, the TPACK ability of certified teachers is better than teachers who are not certified. Based on work location, teachers in Pekanbaru City are better than teachers in Kuantan Singingi Regency. Based on years of service, teachers with 20 years of service are teachers who have very good TPACK abilities.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran pada revolusi 4.0 saat ini menuntut proses pembelajaran secara bertahap dapat beralih dari pembelajaran tradisional tatap muka ke penggunaan teknologi informasi sesuai dengan kecepatan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat. Proses pembelajaran yang baik  didukung oleh sumber dan bahan belajar  yang berkualitas. Contoh yang termasuk bahan ajar adalah buku. Kualitas buku  ditunjukkan dari isi dan paket penyajian buku tersebut, sehingga buku tersebut  lebih berkualitas dan dapat membangkitkan minat belajar/membaca siswa. Perkembangan teknologi informasi terkini dapat mengubah paradigma dari menggunakan buku cetak menjadi menggunakan buku digital dengan  isi yang lebih berkualitas, tampilan/presentasi yang lebih menarik, lebih interaktif dan lebih murah. Ada beberapa aplikasi untuk membuat buku digital yang dapat digunakan secara baik  bagi pemula maupun profesional yaitu Kvisoft Flipbook Maker. Berbagai aplikasi yang dapat digunakan dalam mengembangkan buku digital antara lain 3D Pageflip Professional. Keterampilan TIK para guru di Kecamatan Kuok terbilang cukup baik. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa sebagian besar guru memiliki jejaring sosial yang dapat mereka akses dari smartphone atau laptop pribadinya. Namun keterampilan tersebut tidak mereka gunakan dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi di kelas karena guru masih terbatas dalam menggunakan smartphone atau laptop sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas. Prodi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Riau menyediakan platform berupa pembuatan buku digital berbasis flipbookmaker bagi para guru di Kecamatan Kuok sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pada saat pelatihan beberapa guru sudah dapat menggunakan media Flipbook Maker. Namun, sebagian lainnya masih terkendala gangguan sinyal internet sehingga guru belum bisa menggunakan media Flipbook Maker saat kegiatan  pelatihan ini.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has affected various sectors, one of them is in the education sector. Thus, it interferes with the learning processes conventionally. A solution is needed to respond to the problem in the 21st century. Online learning is one of the alternative ways in utilizing the use of IT-based teaching materials. This study aims to improve the students’ critical thinking skills by using an e-module. The research was the quantitative descriptive method. This study was a quasi-experimental by using a nonequivalent control group design. The samples of the study consisted of 2 classes, namely XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2. The analysis results using independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0,000 0,05. The data analysis results of critical thinking skills used N-gain score test; the experimental class obtained a score of 0,72, in which it belonged to the high category. Meanwhile, the average N-gain score for the control class was 0,34, in which it belonged to the medium category. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the students’ critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. Therefore, the implementation of a phenomenon-based learning e-module can be an alternative to improve the students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills on ion equilibrium and pH buffer solution material through the application of Blended Learning assisted by Google Classroom. The research was conducted in one of the high schools in Pekanbaru City, class XI MIPA in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. This research is an experimental research with a research design in the form of Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. From the existing population, there are samples in the experimental class (36 students) and the control class (33 students). The results of the research statistical test (One Tailed t-Test) show that the hypothesis is accepted with tcount 2.07> ttable 1.67 (dk = 67, α = 0.05). Indications of an increase in students' critical thinking skills due to the implementation of a combination of conventional class learning and virtual classes that build students to think more fluently, not fixated, active, creative, interactive and not bored during the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-LKM (Elektronik-Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa) biokimia berbasis Science, Technology, Engeneering, and Mathematics (STEM) yang berguna untuk melatih keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa (KPS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (anlysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Penelitian ini diuji cobakan pada mahasiswa semester 2 Jurasan Agroteknologi, UIN Suska Riau sebanyak 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi validasi dengan skala likert dan lembar observasi KPS yang diamati pada saat praktikum berlangsung. Produk penelitian divalidasi oleh 3 ahli materi dan 3 ahli media, aspek penilaian ahli materi terdiri dari aspek kelayakan isi dengan nilai sebesar 87,33%, kelayakan bahasa dengan nilai sebesar 89,86%, kelayakan penyajian dengan nilai sebesar 92,38%, penilaian STEM dengan nilai sebesar 91,11%, dan indikator KPS dengan nilai sebesar 92,55%. Rata-rata hasil validasi ahli materi untuk E-LKM sebesar 90,64 %. Aspek penilaian ahli media terdiri dari Aspek kegrafisan dengan nilai sebesar 93% dan kepraktisan dengan nilai sebesar 100%. Rata-rata hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 96,65%. Adapun keterlatihan proses sains dilihat dari 3 kali peraktikum. Praktikum pertama pembuatan es krim probiotik kombinasi ubi jalar ungu hasil KPS yang diperoleh sebesar 88,45%. Praktikum kedua pembuatan EE (Eco-Enzym) hasil KPS yang diperoleh sebesar 98,28%. Praktikum ketiga pembuatan tempe biji durian hasil KPS yang diperoleh sebesar 96,76%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan E-LKM biokimia berbasis STEM ini mampu melatih keterampilan proses sains pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to create an e-module based on multiple representations in the material of molecular shapes and interactions between molecules using augmented reality technology. The method used is the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 phases: the analysis phase, the design phase, the development phase, the implementation phase, and the evaluation phase. Data collection techniques include interviews, student questionnaires, validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. Two methods were used in small-scale trials: one-on-one testing and user response. The one-on-one test involves three students with high, medium, and low abilities. The data obtained from the interviews are in the form of supporting questions related to opinions on the use of teaching materials, followed by assessments of questionnaire sheets and validation sheets in the form of scales. The type of scale used is a Likert scale with a score of 1-4. User response assessment involved three teachers and 30 students. The results showed that the developed e-module obtained an average percentage of material experts (95.7%) and media experts (92.2%), with very valid criteria; a one-on-one test to get students' comments for e-module components that must be repaired; and user responses, (namely teachers and students), with percentages of 93.1% and 93.7%, with very good criteria.

Abstract

The development of SSIBL-based E-modules is motivated by the importance of critical thinking skills and learning motivation in science learning that must be possessed by students. It was found that the limited teaching materials used as well as critical thinking skills and student learning motivation were still in the low category in science learning. This study aims to test the effectiveness and feasibility of SSIBL-based E-modules on ecology and biodiversity material for Indonesian junior high school students, especially at SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. The type of research used is development research with the ADDIE method. The results of the validation of the SSIBL-based E-module assessment by material experts obtained an average score of 3.72 with a very feasible category. The results of the assessment validation by pedagogical experts amounted to 3.97 with a very feasible category. The results of the assessment validation by media experts amounted to 3.95 with a very feasible category. The effectiveness of the E-module with the MANOVA test obtained a sig value of 0.000. This means that there are differences in critical thinking skills and learning motivation between the experimental class using the SSIBL-based E-module and the control class that does not use the SSIBL-based E-module. Based on the results of this SSIBL-based E-module research, it is recommended that it can be used to improve students' critical thinking skills and learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the use of an interactive engagement strategy using Quizizz on students' critical thinking abilities on chemical bonding material. This research was carried out using a quasi-experimental design because not all factors that can influence learning can be controlled. This research was conducted in two experimental classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of an interactive engagement strategy using Quizlet, and the control class was given conventional model treatment. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling, which considers the homogeneity of the sample (class). The experimental and control class samples were 29 students from class X, MAN 1, Pekanbaru. The research results show that in particular, the ability to infer, namely making conclusions and presenting problems, dominates with the highest percentage value of 85%. On the other hand, analytical skills, which involve finding causes, assessing impacts, and predicting further impacts, recorded the lowest percentage, namely 50%. Overall, the average percentage for the four indicators reached 67.5%, which is in the good category. The results of the Independent Sample T-Test statistical test, with a significance value (sig) of 0.000, can be concluded that there is a significant difference in scientific literacy abilities between experimental class and control class students. From the N-Gain analysis, it is known that the average gain score for critical thinking skills in the experimental class (0.50 or 50%) is in the medium category, while the control class only reached 0.30 (30%), which is included in the low category. This conclusion shows that there is a more significant increase in learning outcomes for critical thinking skills in the experimental class compared to the control class

Abstract

This study is intended to develop a worksheet based on socio-scientific issues for buffer solution material that is valid and reliable in order to determine the increase in students' learning interest and critical thinking skills. The Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model was employed, encompassing five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques included interviews, student questionnaires, validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. Two methods were used in small-scale trials: one-on-one tests and user response assessments. The one-on-one test involved three students with high, medium, and low abilities. The user response assessment involved three teachers and 30 students from SMAN 4 Pekanbaru, SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, and SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. The difference in the effect of using the worksheet on improving critical thinking skills and learning interest was analyzed using the t-test. To determine whether there was an increase in critical thinking skills, as indicated by improved student grades, the N-Gain formula was applied. The results showed that the developed worksheet obtained average percentages of 92% from material experts and 98% from media experts, indicating valid criteria. The one-on-one test provided students' comments on necessary improvements to the worksheet components. User responses from teachers and students resulted in 93.1% and 93.7% respectively, indicating that good criteria were achieved. The paired t-test on learning interest data showed a significance value of 0.000 (sig < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in students' learning interest before and after using the worksheet. Similarly, the critical thinking skills data showed a significance value of 0.000 (sig < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in students' critical thinking skills before and after using the worksheet. Based on the posttest results of the experimental and control classes, it was found that the student worksheets improved students' critical thinking skills to a medium level, with an N-Gain value of 53.93. In contrast, the control class showed a low improvement, with an N-Gain value of 30.00.Keywords: worksheet, Socio-Scientific Issues, interest in learning, critical thinking skills, buffer solution
