Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss a sacred and a transcendence tradition of ngrowot at PPLQ in the perspective of a medic and a scientific neuroscience. All of data that was correlated with the ngrowot tradition was categorized empirically and scientifically, and then it was analyzed through neuroplasticity theory explaining the brain that can be transformed by behavioral changes. The result of this study explained that the philosophy of ngrowot is theology and food sovereignty. In the modern era, ngrowot becomes a healthy lifestyle for some elite that is called as the “healthy diet”. This research develops food theology in terms of Islamic educational neuroscience into theology of intelligence and the sovereignty of thinking. The theology of intelligence makes ngrowot as tirakat during the learning process in order to get barokah in terms of the intelligence aspects, and get the benefits in the world and the hereafter. The sovereignty of thinking makes ngrowot as laku prihatin so a salafist’s intelligence of ngrowot cannot be easily interrupted by the secular idea that is not appropriate with Islamic spiritual teachings. The behavioral changes of ngrowot believers also implicate to the structure of neuron in the mind. So, ngrowot can be an educational character method, and in the same time, it also develops the intelligence of ngrowot believera in any dimensions.

Abstract

The knowledge of Indonesian Islamic education is still strongly influenced by Middle Eastern Islamic education, which is currently experiencing political turmoil and bloodshed due to the transnationalism and global Salafism movement. If this condition continues, Indonesian Islamic education will suffer the same fate. In such a situation, Islamic education with progress and Islam Nusantara education must appear prominent, becoming the mainstream (mainstreaming) as a stronghold of the NKRI. Although some studies deliberately make the difference between them, they have the potential for conflict, but the principle of caring for diversity must be put forward. Library research with this qualitative approach formulates the scientific mainstreaming of Islamic education with progress and Islam Nusantara education amidst the flow of transnational Islamic education. The findings of this study indicate that the scientific advancement of Islamic education with progress is Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) while that of Islam Nusantara education is Aswaja. AIK develops knowledge that supports the local wisdom and diversity, while Aswaja maintains local wisdom and national character through science. Both represent the science of moderate Islamic education that is more enlightening than Middle Eastern Islam; thereby, it has the potential to promote Indonesia as a barometer of Islamic world education. Keywords: Islamic education, Kemuhamamdiyahan, and Aswaja

Abstract

Covid-19 has caused a crisis of teacher professionalism degradation. It has surprised teachers at all levels and at the same time inspired them to seek solutions to problems they had never encountered before. Teachers and students are required to adapt to the new normal so that teachers transition in professional life from offline to online. This study aims to analyze the professionalism of teachers during the covid-19 pandemic, in terms of pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), identifying, evaluating, and interpreting all findings on a research topic to answer pre-determined research questions using the preferred reporting item for systematic review and meta analytic (PRISMA). This research database uses Scholar, ERIC, and Mendeley. The results of the study show that teacher professionalism is decadent during the covid-19 period. pedagogical competence becomes highly cognitive because of the weak transfer of values online. personality competence has distorted the teacher's charisma because for almost two years the students have not met the teacher. Social competence of teachers fails to develop a sense of togetherness because of social and physical distancing. Besides that, the professionalism phase of teachers in Indonesia is in the collegial phase, pedagogic competence is considered more important than other competencies. In terms of personality competence, female teachers have a higher level of professional commitment than male teachers and the professional level of teachers with a master's degree education is significantly higher than the level of professional commitment of teachers with undergraduate education. Individual work professionalism is determined and monitored collectively. This means that the principal will be given decision-making authority over school policies and procedures and the support capacity of school leaders is needed. Pedagogy and professionalism during and after a pandemic will drive transformational change. Guidelines for professional behavior are needed to interpret what the professionalism of teachers looks like during the covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the concept of teacher professionalism is no longer relevant in the Covid-19 era. For future research recommendations, it is necessary to develop guidelines for professional teacher behavior during the pandemic, both COVID-19 and other natural phenomena that cause pandemics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze al-Ma'un's theology from a neuroscience perspective that occurred at the Muhammadiyah Wates Orphanage. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative and field research, with library research method. This research discusses Al-Ma'un Theology which is one of the Muhammadiyah movements taught by KH. Ahmad Dahlan which is translated into three pillars, namely education (Schooling), health (healing), and social services (feeding). From there, we need the concept of mind or qalb, and spirit in realizing the theology of al-Ma'un. Because in neuroscience the metaphysical concept of the brain will optimize various human potentials. Neuroscience also examines the brain's awareness and sensitivity in terms of biology, perception, memory, and its relationship to learning. Religious learning that is carried out repeatedly at the Muhammadiyah Orphanage LKSA makes the brain work easier, this happens because the brain already knows from which basket the data related to the lesson must be taken so that it can understand a complete knowledge even up to saturation point.

Abstract

This article aims to develop creative imagination thinking in students with neuroscience-based learning based on Islamic learning. This research is a type of librarian research. In the golden period that occurs for children, all aspects can develop rapidly so that it requires stimulation that can optimize it, one of which is creative imagination. As it is known that this creative imagination has not been developed too much in education, even imagination is a distraction in children's learning. However, many historical scientists put forward creative imagination. This shows that creative imagination is not a learning disorder but a way to optimize thinking patterns and brain function to the fullest. Such as activities in learning that can provide a stimulus to children's imaginations such as playing music, singing prayers, making unique paintings, etc

Abstract

Introduction to The Problem: A unitary state, which democratically runs government, in general rejects a monarchist system. But, Indonesia as a unitary state which applies democracy accepts the Special Region of Yogyakarta has a monarchical system through the application of asymmetric decentralization.Purpose: The aim of this research is to find the pattern of relationships and authority between a democratic unitary state and a monarchist regional government, in particular the Special Region of Yogyakarta.Methodology: This research is normative legal research which analyzes Law No. 13 of 2012 Concerning the Particularity of Yogyakarta, Regulations and Royal Decrees, and Royal Pronouncements.Findings: The research findings show that Indonesia applies asymmetric decentralization to bind a constitutional relationship with the Special Region of Yogyakarta which applies a monarchist system. Indonesia and Yogyakarta’s asymmetric decentralization has a uniqueness over the asymmetric decentralization in federal states, that is by promulgating the Sultan as the governor.  Although this promulgation accords with Law No. 13 of 2012 and the Hadiningrat Yogakarta Keraton (Palace) Regulation; however, of late both an internal and external polemic has arisen.  This polemic has been triggered by Constitutional Decision No. 88/ PUU-XIV/2016 and Royal Decree and Pronouncement which permits a female Sultan, whereas in the Law of Particularity and Royal Decree confirms the Sultan must be male. This polemic has the potential to give rise to a power struggle within the royal family which has serious implications for the asymmetric democratic system and the constitutional monarchy which to date has been developed by Indonesia and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. For this reason, this research recommends revisions be made to the Royal Decree so that there is gender justice resulting in women being able to have the opportunity to become the sultan. A female sultan can become a new discourse in the legal field and the science of government because it has wide implications for gender, political, and cultural and religious discourses.Paper Type: Research ArticleKeywords: Assymetric decentralization; constitutional monarchy; female sultan; and special region of Yogyakarta
