Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan Mobile Instant Messaging (MIM) pada pembelajaran materi Hukum Newton terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. MIM berupa aplikasi WhatsApp digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran kolaboratif (gabungan tatap muka di kelas dengan aktivitas online). Metode penelitian menggunakan pre experimental design dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Islam Kebumen Tanggamus pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Populasinya yaitu seluruh kelas X MIA yang berjumlah 91 peserta didik. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah kelas X MIA 1 dan kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 53 peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah perhitungan nilai n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan MIM berupa WhatsApp pada pembelajaran materi Hukum Newton berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir tinggi yang dilihat dari hasil perhitungan nilai n-gain. Nilai n-gain tertinggi pada indikator C4 sebesar 0,69 sedangkan indikator C5 sebesar 0,32 dan indikator C6 sebesar 0,36 dengan rata-rata nilai n-gain total sebesar 0,41 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan blended learning berbantuan WhatsApp melalui model inkuiri terbimbing pada materi Hukum Newton tentang Gerak terhadap motivasi belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian jenis eksperimen ini menggunakan quasi experimental design dengan bentuk the non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Kotaagung pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dengan melibatkan 64 siswa, 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 33 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Data motivasi dan pemecahan masalah yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan dalam bentuk n-gain. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan independent sampel t-test. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penerapan blended learning berbantuan Whatsapp pada materi Hukum Newton tentang Gerak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

This paper describes the effects of implementing inquiry-based blended learning (IBBL) design on students' learning achievement and satisfaction in an undergraduate physics course. This study employed the one group pre-test – post-test experiment design with a sample of 32 students who took an undergraduate level basic physics course. Learning design and devices applied in this research have been validated by three experts in physics education. 'Schoology', a virtual learning management system, was used as the online learning platform. One cycle of inquiry phases was conducted in the blended learning format of ‘pre-online–face to face–post-online learning’. The data were collected through tests, a scale, and a questionnaire. The test consisted of 35 multiple-choice questions with five alternative answers. It was designed to measure students’ abilities in remembering, understanding, applying, and analyzing. The satisfaction scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree) consisted of 21 items and covered the attractiveness, ease of use, and benefits of learning using the learning products. Furthermore, the questionnaire consisted of six open-ended questions asking about the obstacles and benefits students faced during the learning activities. The results showed that the students’ learning outcomes increased sufficiently. Besides, students’ satisfaction with the learning design and materials was also positive. These initial findings imply that inquiry-based learning (IBL) may be implemented in physics teaching using a blended learning format that can be more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design the two-tier multiple-choice (TTMC) test on fluid material by Rasch Model analysis. Development was adopted from Adams and Wieman (2011) including the format of item and construction of item sets, assessment guidelines assigning, expert test, and a revision of item. The subject of research trials was 57 students of grade XI MIA in SMAN 1 Kotaagung. The data obtained were analyzed using the Rasch Model with Winstep 3,73 applications. Based on the results of research, it was concluded that (1) questions of HOTS developed was valid {achieve the acceptable ranges of PT-Measure, Outfit Mean Square (MNSQ), and value of Outfit z-standardized (ZSTD)}, (2) questions of HOTS developed have excellent reliability with alpha chonbrach’s of 0.94, (3) there are 5 very difficult questions, 10 difficult questions, 11 easy questions, and 4 very easy questions, (4) respondent has good consistency of answer, (5) deception options on all item was valid, and (6) all items have a discrimination very good with value of Pt Measure Corr more than from 0,40. Questions of HOTS that developed can increase the higher-order thinking skills of students so they have a good mastery of a concept.

Abstract

This research focuses on describing the standard process of 2013 curriculum implementation as well as the obstacles faced by the teachers in designing and executing the teaching-learning process of physics in tenth grade at SMA Yadika Natar. Descriptive research was implemented as the design of this research. Furthermore, the research was held during the even semester in the 2017/2108 academic year. During the research, lesson plans designed by the teachers and also the teaching-learning activities were analyzed to gain the data. The data, however, were gained by using observation, interview, and documentation. Moreover, the method used in this research were data reduction, data serving, and data verification. In short, the results were served in a form of lesson plan containing the scientific approach aspect which emphasizes the 2013 curriculum. Although, the teaching-learning activity of the tenth grade at SMA Yadika Natar has facilitated the scientific approach and developed the student's characters. Yet, in the pre-activities, the activities are lacks of motivating session in which it should trigger the students to get involved in were the teaching-learning activities. In addition, the teachers of SMA Yadika Natar find some obstacles in designing a lesson plans which will make them take more time. This could be appeared since the format of the the 2013 curriculum slightly different from the school-based curriculum (KTSP). Moreover, organizing the class is still one of the teacher's obstacles.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the understanding level of the vector concept of Senior High School in Metro, Lampung province. The research populations were all students of X science Senior High School in Metro City, with the total number of schools was 27 Senior High School. The sampling technique in this research was using a stratified random sampling technique, so that obtained 288 students grade X science Senior High School at five Senior High Schools in Metro City. The five schools were SMA Negeri 1 Metro, SMA Negeri 5 Metro, SMA Kristen 1 Metro, SMAS Kartikatama Metro, and MAS Al Muhsin Metro. The result of the research shows that the students' understanding of the concept of students class X science Senior High School in the City of Metro on the subject matter of vector was included in the medium category, with the percentage of understanding concept were 58.0%, guessing were 25.0% and not understanding the concept were 17.0%. The most widely understanding subtopics of the students were a subtopic vector component with a percentage of 77.8%. The least understanding subtopics of the students were a subtopic value of vector with a percentage of 50.4%.

Abstract

Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa SMA YP UNILA Bandar Lampung tidak pernah menggunakan media pembelajaran berupa video tutorial penyelesaian soal-soal pada materi fisika khususnya kelistrikan, sehingga pembelajaran siswa kurang berkesan dan kurang memahami konsep. Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan video tutorial penyelesaian soal untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi kelistrikan SMA yang tervalidasi. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian pengembangan ini diadaptasi dari model ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan: 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, 5) Evaluation. Produk yang dikembangkan telah diuji oleh validator video tutorial mencakup desain dan materi dan diuji tingkat kemenarikan dan kemudahannya. Hasil uji coba dari produk video tutorial yang dikembangkan desainnya valid (skor 3,25); materi soalnya sangat valid (skor 3,50); menarik (skor 3,16); sangat mudah digunakan (skor 3,33).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkaninstrumen tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat materi hukum Newton tentang gerak. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode research and development. Model pengembangan mengadopsi dari  (Adam dan Wieman,2011) yang terdiri dari lima tahapan diantaranya menentukan format butir soal, menentukan konstruksi butir soal, menentukan pedoman penilaian, uji ahli, dan revisi butir soal. Pada tahap pemgembangan, dilakukan uji ahli kepada tiga dosen yang menguasai materi hukum Newton tentang gerak dan ahli di bidang pengembangan instrument. Subjek uji coba yang digunakan dalam penelitian berjumlah 65 siswa. Data yang telah diperoleh, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan rasch model dengan aplikasi winstep 3.73. Berdasarkan hasil analisis soal, dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi valid {memenuhi kriteria yang dapat diterima yakni PT-Measure, Outfit Mean Square (MNSQ), dan nilai outfit z- standardized (ZSTD)}, (2) menghasilkan nilai alpha cronbach 0,85 yang berarti baik, (3) terdapat 3 soal sulit, 12 soal sedang dan 5 soal mudah, (4) responden memiliki konsisitensi dalam menjawab soal yang baik, (5) opsi pengecoh pada semua soal valid,dengan demikian  instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi materi hukum Newton tentang gerak yang dikembangkan di tingkat sekolah menengah memiliki penguasaan konsep yang baik untuk siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) blended learning berorientasi pada Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada materi Hukum Newton tentang gerak dan mengetahui validitas produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur penelitian pengembangan ADDIE. Pada tahap pengembangan dilakukan uji validitashasil rancangan yang dilakukan oleh tiga orang ahli fisika dan dilanjutkan dengan uji kepraktisan yang dilakukan oleh tiga orang siswa kelas X IPA SMA. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa validitas produk 87,5%, 78,3%, dan 92,67% dari penilaian tiga orang ahli. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka disimpulkan bahwa LKS blended learning berorientasi pada HOTS yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas yang sangat baik sebagai perangkat pembelajaran pada materi pokok listrik dinamis.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of online discussion on student learning outcomes on Impulse and Momentum material. The population in this study were all XI classes of SMA Negeri 15 Bandarlampung who were taking the even semester in the 2017/2018 school year. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental with the research design of The Nonequivalent Control Group Design, in which one group of subjects is given a certain treatment (experiment), while another group is used as a control class group. The data from the results of this study are quantitative, consisting of the pretest and posttest scores carried out at the beginning and end of the learning process carried out. Based on the research results, there is an effect of providing online discussions on student learning outcomes on Impulse and Momentum material. This is indicated by the N-gain average value of learning outcomes in the experimental class of 0.67, while the average N-gain of learning outcomes in the control class is 0.43. The difference in the average learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class can be seen from the learning process in each class. In the experimental class, the teacher provides Impulse and Momentum material learning by using an online assignment system outside face-to-face hours at school. Discussions conducted by students before face-to-face learning will make students have a better picture of what material will be studied at the next meeting. This makes students more ready to receive learning material and can understand concepts faster. This is because students have discussed with their friends the problems related to the material during online discussions. On the other hand, not all students in the control class learn the material that the teacher will deliver at the next meeting, so students do not have sufficient initial knowledge.
