Abstract

Nurses often face to situations that can cause job stress Nurses often face to situations that can cause job stress. This study aims to determine the factors related to nurse’s job stress at hospitals type B Batam in 2015. The study used descriptive analytic design with cross sectional approach. The sample consisted of 193 nurses by simple random sampling. The results showed more than half of the nurses experienced severe job stress (57%) were derived from heavy workload (64.4%), cases of death and dying (68.4%), emotional preparation inadequate (64.1%), uncertainty about treatment (71.8%), conflicts with doctors (73.9%), problems with co-workers (70.7%), problems with the supervisor (70.8) and problems with patient and family (66.7%). There is significant relathionship of eight of job stress factors to nurse’s job stress (p<0,05). The most dominant factor affected nurse’s job stress is a problem with a co-worker. The study recommends that we need to improve communication among in nurses

Abstract

The lack of repeated visits of old patients will increase the cost of promotion to get new patients, one way to maintain old patients is to grow patient loyalty. Some patients in Arosuka General Hospital are still not loyal because they come to the hospital only for the first examination, then the patient goes to another hospital, some patients have not recommended the hospital to others, one of the factors that influence patient loyalty is the quality of service. This study aims to determine the relationship between service quality servqual dimensions and patient loyalty in Arosuka Hospital. The type of this study is cross sectional. The population in this study were all patients who came to the Arosuka Hospital polyclinic in 2018, a sample of 203 people with a proportional random sampling sampling technique conducted in April 2018 with the analysis used was the chi square test. The statistical test results obtained 60.1% of respondents not loyal, 61.6% of respondents stated that tangible was not good, 37.9% of respondents stated that reliability was not good, 51.2% of respondents stated that they were less responsive, 43.3% of respondents said assurace was not good, and 48.8% of respondents said empaty not good. There is a significant relationship between tangible, reliability, responsive, assurance, empathy and patient loyalty in Arosuka Hospital with a value of p <0.05 (p = 0.001, p = 0.015, p = 0.010, p = 0.002, p = 0.022). Tangible is the most dominant factor associated with patient loyalty. It is expected that the director will make a policy on service hours, sanctions for those who do not obey the service hours, coordinate with the local government in procuring transportation for patients, the head of the ward designing a comfortable waiting room, and providing suggestion boxes for patients.

Abstract

Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) between nurses and doctors is associated with good outcomes for patients, especially in hospitalizations. Different professional cultures can be a barrier to nurses and doctors in an IPC effective and efficient. Effective IPC is important to ensure patient safety. To analyze how the image of Professional Care Givers is different in implementing IPC at Jambi Special Hospital. The research was cross-sectional, the population were nurses, doctors, pharmacists and nutritionists in Jambi Province Special Hospital 105 samples. Sampling with total sampling. AITCS research instruments that have been modified as needed. Most of the application of IPC to Professional Care Givers in Jambi Province Special Hospital both on the partnership dimension, coordination, shared decision-making is only on the clearest reciprocal differences in the dimension of cooperation which is more than half less good. Conclusion: It is expected that the special hospital of Jambi Province will organize more integrated patient center care, which will have consequences for the implementation of the IPC, especially in terms of perceived cooperation.

Abstract

Abstract

This Study has tested the antioxidant activity of the extracts from Sida subcordata Span. Testing is done with antioxidant activity using DPPH method provides. Testing of antioxidant activity in vitro with spectrophotometric methods based on absorbance measurements radical DPPH (1,1-diphenylpicrylhydrazyl). All the extracts Showed radical scavenging activity. The ethyl acetate and methanol extracts were the most Appropriate as sources of antioxidant compounds as shown by Reviews their inhibition percentage (IP) values. Percentage inhibitor to extract ethyl acetate and methanol extract respectively 76.16% and 79.28% at a concentration of 1 mg / ml to 0.05 mM DPPH. while the results of the testing activities of antioxidant compounds y pure ethyl acetate extract fraction showed a smaller percentage inhibitor that is equal to 30% at the same concentration. Keyword - Sida subcordata Span, Malvaceae, Antioxidant, Alkaloid

Abstract

Rubraxanthone is one of antibacterial  and antioxidant compound which is isolated from stem bark of mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana Linn.). The precise method for analysis of plant constituents is normally a reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC). Development and validation of a RP-HPLC method for chromatographic separation was carried out on a reversed-phase column Shimadzu ®  Shimp-pack VP – ODS (4.6x250mm) using an isocratic mobile phase of  0.4% formic acid - acetonitrile at  a flow rate 1mL min-1, and detection was  with a UV detector. The linearity of  the proposed method was found in the range of 2.5-25μg/mL-1 with regression coefficient 0.999. Intraday precision studies showed the relative standard deviation ≤1.58% and  inter-day ≤3.20%. Accuracy of the method was determined by a recovery study conducted at 3 different levels, and the average recovery was 102.18%. The Limit of Detection Limit of Quantitation (LOQ) and were 0.47 and 1.56μg/mL-1.The contents of rubraxanthon in the crude was 0.23±0.07%w/w.
