Abstract

This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Parang, Makassar. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ reading comprehension skills through the implementation of Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) assisted by the Book Creator platform. This study employed a qualitative approach with the type of classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were one classroom teacher and 15 fifth-grade students. The data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, using observation sheets and reading comprehension tests as instruments. The data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed an improvement in both teacher and student activities in implementing CSR assisted by the Book Creator platform, increasing from the fair (C) category to the good (B) category according to the implementation target. In addition, students’ reading comprehension test results improved from cycle I to cycle II, achieving a mastery level of 80%, which exceeded the minimum target of ≥70%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) assisted by the Book Creator platform can improve the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Parang, Makassar.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study aimed at determining whether there is an influence of using augmented reality flashcard media based on the TPACK approach on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at Cluster III Amali District, Bone Regency. The approach used in this study is a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study consists of all fourth-grade students at Cluster III Amali, totaling 87 students. The samples in this study consisted of fourth-grade students from UPT SD Inpres 12/17 Mattaropurae totaling 23 students and UPT SD Negeri 131 Tocinnong totaling 20 students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques include written tests conducted before and after treatment, and observation.Data analysis was conducted descriptively and inferentially using the Independent Sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the use of augmented reality flashcard media based on TPACK is classified as good and can encourage active student engagement during the learning process. Students’ critical thinking skills showed a significant increase after the use of the media. The t-test results showed a significance value of <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of augmented reality flashcard media based on the TPACK approach has a positive and significant effect on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of students’ emotional intelligence, the Profile of Pancasila Students in the dimensions of Global Diversity and Mutual Cooperation, and the relationship between emotional intelligence and these two dimensions among fifth-grade students of elementary schools in Cluster II, Kahu District, Bone Regency. This research employed a quantitative method with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 146 students, with a sample of 107 students determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring emotional intelligence, the Global Diversity dimension, and the Mutual Cooperation dimension. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including tests of normality, homogeneity, linearity, and t-test, with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25. The results showed that students’ emotional intelligence was in the good category, while the Global Diversity and Mutual Cooperation dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile were in the moderate category. Furthermore, there were significant relationships between emotional intelligence and both dimensions. In conclusion, emotional intelligence plays an important role in shaping students’ character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly in appreciating diversity and collaborating with others. Therefore, strengthening emotional intelligence and integrating the values of the Pancasila Student Profile into the curriculum, school programs, and family support are highly recommended.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V melalui penerapan metode Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ). Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas V UPT SPF SDN Kompleks IKIP. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I dengan ketuntasan sebesar 46,78% ke siklus II sebesar 83,1%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode LSQ efektif dalam mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa, mengembangkan pola pikir kritis, dan meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap materi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V UPT SPF SDN Kompleks IKIP melalui penerapan metode diskusi kelompok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Siklus I, hanya 20% siswa yang menunjukkan partisipasi yang baik, sementara pada Siklus II, 68% siswa menunjukkan partisipasi yang baik. Peningkatan ini mengindikasikan bahwa metode diskusi kelompok efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penerapan metode ini tidak hanya meningkatkan partisipasi, tetapi juga membantu siswa lebih memahami materi IPA secara lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode diskusi kelompok dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran.
