Abstract

Penelitian ini dimotivasi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kalangan siswa kelas lima di SDN 15 Manjalling, Kabupaten Bulukumba, yang disebabkan oleh terbatasnya partisipasi aktif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Baca, Jawab, Diskusikan, Jelaskan, dan Ciptakan (RADEC) yang dibantu media Kartu Misteri dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (CAR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, implementasi, observasi, dan refleksi. Partisipan penelitian adalah 24 siswa kelas lima. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, tes pencapaian belajar, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran RADEC yang dibantu media Kartu Misteri meningkatkan baik kualitas proses pembelajaran maupun hasil belajar siswa. Aktivitas pengajaran guru meningkat dari kategori cukup baik pada Siklus I menjadi kategori baik pada Siklus II. Demikian pula, aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dari kategori cukup baik menjadi kategori baik. Selain itu, hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari kategori buruk pada Siklus I menjadi kategori baik pada Siklus II dan memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditetapkan untuk penguasaan pembelajaran klasik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC yang dibantu media Mystery Card efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas lima di SDN 15 Manjalling, Kabupaten Bulukumba.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low level of critical thinking skills among fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model to enhance students' critical thinking skills in the IPAS subject. This study used a qualitative approach and was a classroom action research (CAR) study, which involved a cyclical process of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research focused on students' critical thinking skills in IPAS and the TPS cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were a teacher and 23 students from class VA at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 10 males and 13 females. Data were collected using observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed improvements in each cycle. The observation results of the learning process in Cycle I showed that both teacher and student activities were in the "moderate" category, which improved to the "good" category in Cycle II. The results of the critical thinking skills test showed that the students' skills were in the "low" category in Cycle I and improved to the "critical" category in Cycle II. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model can enhance students' critical thinking skills in IPAS subject for Phase C at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota.

Abstract

English is an international language that plays a crucial role in education, technology, and communication. Vocabulary mastery is a fundamental aspect of learning English because it serves as the foundation for other language skills. However, preliminary observations at SD Inpres Ganting revealed that the vocabulary proficiency of fifth-grade students was still low. This issue stems from the use of conventional, teacher-centered learning approaches that do not train students’ reflective thinking skills. This study aims to improve students’ English vocabulary mastery through the implementation of the Visible Thinking Routine (VTR) approach based on the Think Pair Share (TPS) model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 12 fifth-grade students of SD Inpres Ganting, Bantaeng Regency, in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed an increase in teacher and student activities from the “fair” category in Cycle I to the “good” category in Cycle II. The students’ average vocabulary mastery also improved, rising from below the minimum mastery criteria (KKTP) in Cycle I to above the criteria in Cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Visible Thinking Routine (VTR) approach based on the Think Pair Share (TPS) model effectively improves the English vocabulary learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Ganting, Bantaeng Regency.

Abstract

This research was conducted on the basis of the discovery of problems found at SDN Borong, namely the low motivation for student learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of the application of the quantum teaching model in science learning, (2) to find out the picture of student learning motivation, and (3) to determine the influence of the application of the quantum teaching model on science learning on the learning motivation of grade IV UPT SPF students at SDN Borong. This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of experimental research in the form of a quasi-experimental design type non-equivalent control group design. The study population is all grade IV. The samples in the study were class IV students who were selected by purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected using observations, questionnaires, and documentation provided before and after the implementation of learning. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the first treatment went well and the second treatment went very well. The results of inferential analysis using an independent sample t-test showed the difference in post-non-test results between the experimental class and the control class. This shows that there is an increase in student learning motivation in the experimental group higher than the control class. So that it can be concluded that: (1) the learning process with the application of the quantum teaching model is effective, (2) the results of the student questionnaire showed an increase in student learning motivation in science learning, (3) there is a significant influence on the application of the quantum teaching model on student learning motivation in science learning grade IV UPT SPF SDN Borong Kota Makassar.
