Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to develop module and to know students’ response to module submaterial plant role in economy with addition making of bread containing papaya. This research  used Research and Development (R & D) method, consisting of six out of ten stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation,  design revision  and limited trials. The modul was evaluated by five validators consisting of two biology lecturers and three teachers from secondary high schools. The student’s response to module submaterial plant role in economy used a response questionnaire with ten statements. Result of validation showed 0.96 of CVI value and categorized valid. Obtained  85.1% and categorized very high. Therefore, the module sub material plant role in economy can be used in learning process.  Keywords : Bread containing papaya, module, R&D method, responses.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of booklet as the media based on morphology  for tepo, kereke and pirit  and nutrient fruit tepo, kereke and pirit on the materials of different levels of biodiversity of tenth grade of Senior High School. This research is a descriptive study.  Data collection were done y using the validation instrument. The validation were done by 5 validators.  2 validators are the lecturers of biology education, while 3 others are the high school biology teachers using curriculum 2013 for tenth grade . The results of the validation booklet with 6 aspects ie consistency, format, organization, attraction, font size, space is empty and 13 criteria  got CVR value =   0.99 according to the minimum value of the CVR Lawshe to 5 validators is 0.99 so media  booklet were categorized as valid and declared as viable media for learning on the various levels of biodiversity material of tenth grade of Senior High School. Keywords: Booklet, Fruit tepo, kereke, pirit, Morphology, Nutritional content

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini mengukur pengaruh perbedaan konsentrasi gula terhadap hasil uji organoleptik selai jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata). Desain yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan konsentrasi gula (100, 150 dan 200 gr) dan 25 replikasi. Apabila terdapat perlakuan yang signifikan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan pada alfa 0,05. Selai jagung manis diujikan kepada 25 orang panelis tidak terlatih dengan menggunakan uji organoleptik yang dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. Instrumen penilaian berupa lembar uji skalar garis dengan enam parameter yaitu warna, aroma, kekentalan, rasa jagung, tingkat kemanisan dan kesukaan. Data hasil uji organoleptik dianalisis menggunakan SAS dengan model RAL. Hasil menunjukkan hanya aroma jagung dengan konsentrasi gula 100 gr yang disukai panelis secara signifikan. Oleh karena itu, selai jagung manis yang disukai oleh siswa adalah selai dengan aroma jagung manis yang tercium. Dari rata-rata skor, panelis cenderung memilih warna yang cerah, kental, rasa jagungnya terasa, dan manis.AbstractThis research measured the effect of different sugar concentration towards the results of organoleptic tests of sweet corn jam (Zea mays saccharata). The design was completely randomized design (CRD) with three sugar concentration treatments (100, 150 and 200 gr) and 25 replications. If there was a significant treatment followed by Duncan test at alpha 0.05. Sweet corn jam was tested to 25 untrained panelists using an organoleptic test conducted in SMA 2 Pontianak. The instrument was the line scalar test sheet with six parameters namely color, aroma, viscosity, flavor, sweetness and preference level. Data were analyzed using SAS with CRD model. The results showed only the corn aroma with 100 gr sugar concentration significantly liked by the panelists. Therefore, the jam was favoured by students was the jam with strong sweet corn aroma. From the average score, the panelists tend to choose bright color, thick, strong corn taste, and sweet.

Abstract

Nanas dapat digunakan sebagai tambahan cita rasa pada biscotti yang merupakan makanan khas Itali. Modifikasi biscotti dapat diujikan secara organoleptik untuk mengetahui perbedaan konsentrasi nanas  (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) yang disukai oleh konsumen. Parameter yang diamati adalah warna, aroma, rasa nanas, rasa manis, tekstur dan kesukaan. Desain penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan konsentrasi nanas (150, 175, 200 gr) dengan 25 ulangan. Uji organoleptik dengan 25 panelis tidak terlatih yaitu siswa SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak menggunakan lembar uji skalar. Data dianalisis menggunakan SAS. Hasil menunjukkan perlakuan 200 gr konsentrasi nanas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap aroma, tetapi tidak berpengaruh pada parameter lainnya. Skor penilaian menunjukkan perlakuan dengan 200 gr nanas memberikan kriteria cukup disukai oleh panelis berdasarkan rata-rata skor. Dengan demikian nanas dapat digunakan untuk biscotti dengan cita rasa lokal.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengukur pertumbuhan tanaman selada. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengakap (RAL) Faktorial dengan faktor utama (hiroponik rakit apung dan rasio nutrisi), dan faktor kombinasi antara keduanya. Pengukuran dilakukan selama 14 hari (7 kali pengamatan) dengan enam parameter (panjang akar, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, kadar klorofil, berat basah dan berat kering). Data dianalisis menggunakan SAS. Jika terdapat perlakuan yang signifikan dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD pada alfa 0,05. Hasil menunjukan rakit apung dinamis meningkatkan pertumbuhan selada secara signifikan dibandingkan rakit apung statis. Rasio nutrisi N3 meningkatkan pertumbuhan selada secara signifikan dibandingkan rasio nutrisi lainnya pada semua parameter kecuali jumlah daun. Kombinasi antara rakit apung dinamis dan rasio nutrisi N3 merupakan pertumbuhan tanaman selada tertinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan 7 kombinasi lain.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the feasibility of poster as a learning medium of the food substances material for class XI Senior High School that made from the study result of the nutrients content and fiber avocado and dragonfruit wich were sold in Pontianak. Poster as learning medium of food substances material was conducted in the form of descriptive research and technique analyzed by using Content Validity Ratio (CVR). Validation was done by five people; they were 2 Biology Education lectures and 3 biology high school teachers in Pontianak, with 12 assessment criteria. Validation results showed that all the assessment criteria had reached the minimum value of the CVR Lawshe of 0.99. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of plant organ poster media with the addition of stomata types of 12 plant species. This research was a descriptive study using purposive sampling technique. The poster was validated in two stages, namely instrument validation and poster media validation with four aspects, namely format, content, language and effectiveness. The poster media criteria were validated by five validators consisting of two biology education lecturers at FKIP Tanjungpura University and three high school biology teachers in Pontianak. Data from poster media validation were analyzed using Content Validity Ratio (CVR) formula and Content Validity Index (CVI). The results of the poster media validation obtained CVR and CVI values of 0.89. Thus, the poster was categorized to be valid and feasible to be used as a learning medium in the structure and function of plant tissue material of class XI in high school. Keywords: feasibility, poster, stomatal types, validation

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the effect of floating raft hydroponic media products on static and dynamic methods and different nutrient ratios as media in growth practicum activities in schools. The method used was research and development (R & D) method using 6 stages, starting from potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions and limited trials. Stage The trial involved students and validators as material and media experts. The research instruments were in the form of validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires and student practical worksheets. The results of the prototype validation and floating raft hydroponic media products by material and media experts included the feasible category (100%). Based on the results of the questionnaire responses of students showed that students strongly agreed that the floating hydroponic raft was used as laboratory work (86.80%) Kata kunci : floating raft hydrophonics, laboratory work media, student                              responses

Abstract

Abstrac This research aimed to know the feasibility of static and dynamic floating raft hydroponics with different nutrient ratios on a medium learning for laboratory work that influenced plant growth. The type of research was research and development (RnD) consisting of six stages namely potential and problems, data collection, design production, validation of design, revision of design, and limited trial. This reserch was modified by adding media validation stage. The validation and student response questionnaire together with student laboratory worksheet was a research instruments. To know feasibility of laboratory work media floating raft hydroponics, then validation was done by media and materials expert. The results of floating raft hydroponic prototype and media validation by media and material experts were categorized as feasible with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire show that students strongly agreed to hydroponic floating rafts used as laboratory work media with a percentage of 92.36%. Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the feasibility of booklet media on biodiversity material of class X in high school from morphology and nutrient content as well as fiber fruit of kapang (Knema conferta), keladi rawa (Cyrtosperma merkusii) and melinjo hutan (Gnetum loufounse) which found in the Sibohe Pajintan east Singkawang forest, Singkawang City, West Kalimantan. Some information from the results of morphological analysis and nutritient content was implemented in booklet shaped learning media. This research was descriptive method using purposive sampling technique with two stages, namely instrument validation and media validation. Instrument validation was carried out by three validators, two biology education lecturers and one high school biology teacher who taught class X. The media validation was conducted by five validators consisting of two biology education lecturers from FKIP Tanjungpura University and three high school biology teachers. Data were analyzed by Lawshe method with CVR and CVI formulas. Based on the results of the instrument validation using the questioner sheet with five aspects consisting of 14 criteria showed that it was feasible to be used and repaired, while for media validation obtained a CVI value of 0.99 which corresponded to Lawshe's minimum CVI value for 5 validators, namely 0.99 so that the booklet media declared valid and feasible to be used as a biodiversity material learning media for class X high school.Keywords: Booklet, Biodiversity, Kapang, Keladi Rawa, Melinjo hutan
