Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to measure the size and to determin stomata types from  34 plants in Arboretum Sylva Indonesia PC Untan Pontianak. This research used laboratory descriptive method. The stomata length and  width were measured using macrometer. Stomatal types were grouped according to the arrangement of epidermal cells adjacent to the guard cells. The length size was categorized to be less long, long, and very long of which five sp, six sp, 23 sp subsequenly. The width  was categorized to be less wide, wide, and very wide. Category less width and width were the same as 17 sp. However  very wide category was not found. There were five stomata types found in the Arboretum Sylva Indonesia PC Untan Pontianak namely parasitic, anomocytic, anisocytic, aktinositik and siklositik, of which were 21 sp, four sp, five sp, two sp, and two sp, subsequently. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of modules on biodiversity material from the morphology, nutrient content and fruit fiber of sibo (Nephelium lappaceum var. lappaceum), tempajo (Lepisanthes tetraphylla Radlk.), and pangkok (Dacryodes elmeri H.J.Lam). Sibo, tempajo, and pangkok fruits were found in Tembawang Forest, Sahan Village, Bengakayang District. The research was descriptive with purposive sampling technique. Module making was followed by validation. Validation consisted of two stages namely instrument validation and teaching materials validation. This module contained three sub-material namely the concept of gene, species, ecosystems, diversity utilization of Indonesia's biodiversity and biodiversity conservation efforts in Indonesia. This module also provided information about the morphology, nutrient content and fruit fiber of sibo, tempajo, and pangkok. The module was validated by five validators with four aspects and nineteen criteria. The results of the instrument validation showed that it was feasible and corrected to use. The scores of the validation of teaching materials was calculated using the Analysis of Lawshe Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI). Content Validity Index (CVI) score was 0.99 meaning that the module was categorized as valid and was worthy of being used as teaching material on biodiversity material in high school. Keywords: Module, Biodiversity, Sibo, Tempajo, Pangkok

Abstract

AbstractThis aim of this study was to know the students response to making papaya cake laboratory work on subchapter role of plant in economy class X high school. This research used descriptive methods. Cake making laboratory work to show subchapter role of plant in economy material and than to process papaya become cake. Stop motion animation was used on papaya cake making laboratory work of grade X students MIPA 4 MAN 2 Pontianak. This Laboratory work used questionnaire to know students responses. Questionnaire responses consisted of 12 statements, 8 positive statements and 4 negative statements. The results of questionnaires response was analyzed using likert scale. The results of questionnaires response was very high category with a percentage of 87.01%. In addition, the results of the laboratory work reached 100% completeness with minimum completeness criteria 78 and the average grade cognitive value of 88.03, affective of 92.92 and psychomotor of 90.17.Keyword: Laboratory work, Respons, Questionnaire

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the feasibility of a laboratory work media. The media was design using static and dynamic floating raft hidroponics with different nutrient ratio on subchapter growth and development of living things. The research was Research and Development (R&D), which consisted of six stages namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision of and limited product trial. This research was modified by adding media validation stages. The validation and student response questionnaires together with student laboratory worksheet were research instruments. Validation was done by media and material expert and categorized as feasible with a pecentage of 100%. Base on the results of the students response questionnaires showed that students strongly agreed with a pecentage of 96.5%. Therefore static and dynamic floating raft hydroponic with different nutrient ratio could be used for a learning laboratory work. Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat buku saku dari hasil inventarisasi tumbuhan berpotensi tanaman hias yang terdapat di Gunung Sari Singkawang dan mengetahui kelayakan buku saku sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia kelas X SMA. Media buku saku diuji kelayakannya menggunakan instrumen yang telah divalidasi sebelumnya oleh tiga orang dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Untan. Uji kelayakan buku saku dilakukan oleh dua orang dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Untan dan lima orang guru biologi kelas X SMA/Sederajat dari lima kecamatan yang berbeda di Kota Singkawang. Hasil validasi buku saku termasuk kedalam kateori valid dengan skor 3,4 dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi keanekaragaman hayati Indonesia kelas X SMA. Namun demikian perlu pengujian lebih lanjut untuk efektivitas penggunaan buku saku dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Kata kunci : Buku saku, keanekaragaman hayati, inventarisasi  Abstract : This research aimed to create a pocket books developed from the inventory of potentially ornamental plants in Gunung Sari Singkawang and determine the feasibility of a pocket book as a learning medium of the Indonesian biodiversity matter of class X in High School. The pocket book was examined its feasibility using an instrument that was validated previously by three lecturers of Biology Education Study Program FKIP Untan. Validation of the pocket book was done by two lecturers of Biology Education Study Program FKIP Untan and five Biology teachers of high school of class X / equivalent from five different districts in Singkawang. The results of the pocket book validation was categorized into valid with a score of 3.4 and can be used as a learning medium in the Indonesian biodiversity matter of class X in High School. However, further research is necessary to obtain effective use of the pocket book as learning media in the class. Keywords: Pocket Book, biodiversity, inventarisation

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kadar gizi tempe biji nangka dan tempe kedelai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah eksperimen. Tempe biji nangka dan kedelai dibuat dengan prosedur yang sama. Parameter gizi tempe adalah kadar protein, lemak, air, abu dan karbohidrat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar protein, lemak, abu dan karbohidrat pada tempe kedelai berbeda secara signifikan dengan tempe biji nangka. Tempe kedelai memiliki kadar protein (17,5 mg/100gr), dan lemak (5,07 mg/100gr) yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tempe biji nangka. Tempe biji nangka memiliki kadar abu (1,05 mg/100gr) dan karbohidrat (20,7 mg/100gr) yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tempe kedelai. Dalam segi pemenuhan kebutuhan protein, tempe kedelai memiliki potensi yang lebih baik dibandingkan tempe biji nangka Kata kunci : tempe biji nangka, tempe kedelai, kadar gizi   Abstract: This study aimed to compare nutrient content between jackfruit seeds tempeh and soybean tempeh using experimental design. Jackfruit seeds tempeh and soybean tempeh maked with the same procedure. The parameters of nutritional value were protein, fat, water, ash, and carbohydrate. Soybean tempeh have a protein content (17.5 mg/100g), and fat (5.07 mg/100g) higher compared with tempeh jackfruit seeds. Tempe jackfruit seeds have ash content (1.05 mg/100g) and carbohydrate (20.7 mg/100g) higher than the soybean tempeh. In terms of the purposes of the protein, soybean tempeh better than jackfruit seeds tempeh. Keyword : jackfruit seeds tempeh, soybean tempeh, nutritional value

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of laboratory work guidance for making pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) candy on the subchapter of the role of plants in economic class X high school. The research was conducted by using descriptive method  with validation conducted by 2 lecturers from biology education and 3 biology teachers from senior high school. The validation devided into two steps, the first step was validation intrument of laboratory work guidance and the second step was validation media laboratory work guidance. Based on validation result of laboratory work guidance, there was 15 criteria with CVR value equal to 0.99 in accordance with minimum CVR value of Lawshe for 5 validator was 0.99, so the laboratory work guidance was feasible and can be implemented as a learning media to guide the laboratory work of making pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the feasibility of poster media for the laboratory work of making banana muffins in submaterial of the plant role in economy and to know students responses to poster media. This research was uses  research and development (R&D) method consisting of six out from ten stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision and limited product trials. Poster media  were validated by two lecturers from biology education and three biology teachers from senior high school. The validation divided was conducted into two steps. The first step was validation of poster media instrument and the second step was poster media validation. The students response to the poster media was used a questionnaire and categories according to Likert. Based on validation results of the poster media using twelve criteria, the score was 0.99 of CVI value, and categories valid. Therefore the poster media for submaterial plant role in economy was feasible tobe use in learning proccess. Abstract

 AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of the booklet submaterial structure and function of plant tissue with additional information about transpiration which was used as a learning medium. The research method used was descriptive. The validators were divided into two, namely the validator to validate the instrument and the validator to validate the booklet media. The instrument validator consisted of two Biology Education lecturers and one high school class XI biology subject teacher. The booklet media validator consisted of 2 Biology Education lecturers and 3 high school class XI biology subject teachers who implemented the 2013 curriculum. The results of the booklet media validation analysis obtained a CVI average of 0.99 classified as valid. Therefore, the booklet media based on the results of research on measuring the rate of transpiration in six monocotyledonous plants was feasible to be used in the learning process in the structure and function of the XI class of high school plant structures.Keywords: Booklet, Validation, Transpiration Rate

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to know feasibility and students’ response to contextual student worksheet for laboratory work of making banana cookies on submaterial plant role in economy. The type of research was type of research and development (R&D), which consisted of six stages namely potential and problems, data collection, design production, validation of design, revision of design, and limited product trial. Data collection was done by literature review and implemented organoleptic test on three types of banana cookies. Contextual student worksheets contained submaterial plant role in economy with the example of banana cookies recipe. The banana recipe was made from 40 hari banana selected from significant parameter of organoleptic test. To know feasibility of contextual student worksheet, then validation was done by two lecturers of Biology Education FKIP Untan and three biology teachers of class X senior high school. Aspects of feasibility measured in validation were content, linguistic, display, graphic, and contextual. Result of validation showed 0.99 of CVI value and categorized valid, so it was veasible to use learning material. The results of this study also showed students' responses to contextual student worksheets was as much as 85.74% with very high categories. Keyword: Banana Cookies, Contextual Student Worksheet, Feasibility, Research and Development Method, and Responses.
