Abstract

This paper describes and analyzes the errors in the use of affixes in the exposition text for students in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Tapung Hulu. The research is qualitative research using the descriptive-analytical method, which analyzes and explains the data found in the form of words. Data analysis techniques began with data reduction, presentation, conclusion, and data verification. The data collection technique used was the writing skill test and note-taking techniques. The research data source of the exposition text was written by students. Based on the research results, five types of errors in the use of affixes were found. There were errors in the use of prefixes, ber-, ter-, di-, meN-, ke-, and peN-. There was the misuse of infixes –em- and –el-. There was the misuse of suffixes -an, –i, and –kan. There were errors in the use of confixes pen-an, ber-an, ke-an, and per-an. There was incorrect use of join affixes meN-per-kan, ter-per-, di-kan, di-per-i, meN-kan, ke- to meN-per, and -i.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of satirical language style used by the interviewees in Mata Najwa's talk show "Jokes in the country of opera", to explain the meaning of the satirical language style used by the speakers in Mata Najwa's talk show "Jokes in the country of opera", and to explain the function of the satirical language style used resource person in Najwa's eye talk show "funny in the land of opera". This type of research is qualitative research. This study uses a descriptive analytic method, namely by analyzing and describing descriptively the data obtained in the study, broken down into words not numbers. Methods of data collection in this study using the method of documentation and notes. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusions. The results of this study are the speeches of the informants in the Mata Najwa talk show "Jokes in the Land of Opera" which contain satirical language styles. The data source for this research is Mata Najwa's YouTube channel with a video titled "Jenaka in the Land of Opera" part 1 to.d. 7. The data found were 44 satire language data in Najwa's eye talk show "jokes in the country of opera" consisting of 17 Horatian satire data, 14 juvenile satire data, and 13 menippean satire data.

Abstract

The emergence of problems of decreased learning activities and interest in students' writing skills is still low. This study discusses the influence of audiovisual media on the job application letter writing skills of grade XII students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Lesung. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of audiovisual media on job application letter writing skills in grade XII students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Lesung. The benefits of research to develop learning media through appropriate educational methods so that they can influence student learning with potential and character. Research methods are obtained with pre-experimental designs, research instruments in the form of pretests and postes job application letter writing skills. Research data analysis techniques use descriptive statistical test techniques, normality tests, and homogeneity tests. The results of the study are audiovisual media affect the learning outcomes of job application letter writing skills for grade XII students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Lesung, by giving the impression of a pleasant student learning experience, so that students become more motivated, learning becomes less boring, and makes communication easier to achieve effective and efficient learning goals.

Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dilakukan yang dilakukan manusia adalah komunikasi. Dalam berkomunikasi kita menggunakan bahasa. Dalam bahasa terbagi menjadi dua, yakni bahasa lisan atau bahasa tulisan. Dalam penetian ini, penulis mengambil kajian bahasa mengenai bahasa tulisan tentang menganalisis kesalahan ejaan berdasarkan kaidah penulisan Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia yang Disempurnakan atau yang dikenal dengan EYD. Analisis kesalahan tulisan tersebut dilihat dari ejaan siswa berdasarkan kesalahan penulisan huruf, kesalahan penulisan kata, dan kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca dalam teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kecamatan Tanah Putih. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui berapa banyak kesalahan penulisan ejaan yang dilakukan siswa dalam kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi berdasarkan kesalahan penulisan huruf, penulisan kata, dan penggunaan tanda baca. Manfaatnya untuk sebagai bahan penambah ilmu pengetahuan mengenai analisis kesalahan ejaan pada siswa SMP, kemudian penelitian ini diharapkan sebagai pembelajaran siswa dalam menulis khususnya penulisan karya ilmiah serta penelitian ini diharapkan sebagai bahan evaluasi sekolah terutama guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the balance of education at the senior high school level in Indragiri Hilir Regency with all the limitations as a district that does not have natural resources like other districts in Riau. Moreover, at the high school level is the average standard of the world of work today as the beginning of a career to become an adult human being. The research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques from literature studies which are analyzed using spiral data analysis techniques through purposive sampling. The results are 1) a sufficiently qualified budget 2) IPM which increased by 0.74% from the previous year 3) APK of 50.29% and APM of 69.67% still do not meet government standards 4) many teachers are fresh graduates, the status of civil servant teachers is still small to very many teachers who are not certified 5) more than 50% need minor repairs 6) 1/4 school need to increase accreditation. Based on these results, it can be concluded that education in Indragiri Hilir Regency at the high school level is still quite good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat ada tidaknya pengaruh Strategi Mind Mapping terhadap kemampuan menulis pantun siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah True Experimental Design dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design yang terdiri dari tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest). Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling (sampel total). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh strategi Mind Mapping terhadap kemampuan menulis teks pantun siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Gunung Toar. Pada saat pre-test nilai siswa kelas eksperimen berada dibawah KKM yaitu 65 dengan rata-rata 63.60 > 62.12. Penulis juga melakukan analisis statistik parametrik uji t sampel berpasangan (uji paired t test). Hasil uji tersebut menunjukkan angka Asym sig 0,00 < 0,05, secara kriteria menolak H0 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikkan dari implementasi strategi Mind Mapping terhadap kemampuan menulis pantun siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menyimak siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kabun melalui audiovisual. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Kabun, yang terletak di desa Aliantan, Kec. Kabun, Kab. Rokan hulu, Provinsi Riau. Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kabun yang berjumlah 27 siswa perkelas. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas varians, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan menyimak pada kelas VIII A melalui media konvensional dengan nilai rata-rata tes adalah 67,22 dengan kategori sedang. Kemudian, untuk penilaian kemampuan menyimak pada kelas VIII B melalui media audiovisual dengan nilai rata-rata tes adalah 87,59 dengan kategori tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan, bahwa terdapat perbedaan tes nilai siswa antara kemampuan media konvensional dan media audiovisual.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent of the influence of the learning cycle learning model on the learning outcomes of scientific work material for class XI students at SMK Migas Innovation Riau. The population in this study were all class XI students at SMK Migas Innovation Riau with a sample of 40 students. Class XI OTKP students are taught using the learning cycle learning model and class XI TKJ 1 students are taught using the conventional model. The type of research is experimental. The instrument used is a test. The hypothesis data analysis technique was first tested for Shapiro-Wilk normality and homogeneity using the t test. The test results for the two samples came from a population that was normally distributed and homogeneous, so the researcher gave treatment to both samples. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the average learning outcome for students who used the learning cycle model was 81.10 and the average learning outcome for students who were given the conventional learning model was 63.75. To test the hypothesis, the t test was used, from the calculation results a significance level of 0.005 was obtained. It turns out that the significance value is 0.004 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of the learning cycle learning model on the learning outcomes of scientific work material

Abstract

This study aims to identify the required listening comprehension learning media for lecturers and students, and assess their suitability for today's digital era in higher education. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The informants in this research involved students from Indonesian Language and Literature Education from Riau University, Riau Islamic University, and Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State Islamic University who took Listening classes in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program. Data were collected through open questionnaires distributed to participants using Google Forms comprising 30 questions. The data analysis involved various stages, including data recording, accuracy verification, database structure development, calculating data acquisition percentages based on classification, data analysis, and data summarization. The results indicated that the needs for digital-based listening comprehension learning media were determined based on four indicators: content, language, graphics, and learning media aspects. The envisioned learning media should take the form of an application with comprehensive and meaningful teaching materials, including ebooks, integrating textual, visual, and video content to reflect the local wisdom of Riau culture, thereby fostering students' critical thinking, reasoning, and imagination skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the quality or ability to complete gap text as a strategy for understanding information. The research method uses a descriptive-inferential quantitative approach. The research sample was 28 students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University, which was carried out in 2022. The data collection technique was a test on gap text. Data analysis techniques included scoring and assessing the results of respondents' entries through descriptive statistics and decision analysis through normality tests and one-sample t tests. The results of the analysis of completing incomplete text as a strategy for understanding information were an average of 71,50 with the independent category. The normality test had a normal distribution through the Shapiro-Wilk value of 0,949 at a significance of 0,187, the t test obtained ttable -1,704 < tcount 0,125 < ttable +1,704 and a significance value of 0,902 > 0,05. The test results provide a conclusion that the quality of completing incomplete text can help in understanding the information in a text. Significantly, the quality of completing incomplete text had a positive impact on strategies for understanding information in the text.
