Abstract

Abstract. A research on the application of Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) learning models in the hydrolysis of the salt material in class XI science 2 SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin. This study aims to determine: (1) improving the quality of teacher learning, (2) improvement of student learning activities, (3) student’s critical thinking skills, (4) improving student learning outcomes. This study uses classroom action research design with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subject were student of class XI Science SMA PGRI 6 Banjarmasin with the number 28. The data include observation of teacher activity and student activity. Outcomes data of critical thinking skills collected using essay tests at the end of each lesson and learning outcomes data were collected using the test results to learn at the end of each cycle. Results of the study showed that the application of AIR learning models can improve teacher learning with good criteria in the first cycle to be very good in the second cycle. Student activity increased with good criteria in the first cycle to be very good in the second cycle. Student’s critical thinking skills increased each indicator by category quite well in the first cycle to be good on the second cycle. Application of AIR learning models can improve student’s mastery of learning outcomes of the average 69.35 % in the first cycle to be 89.30% in the second cycle or an increase of 19.95%.Keywords : auditory, intellectually, repetition (air) learning model, critical thinking skills, learning outcomes,hydrolysis of salts

Abstract

Abstract: This research analyzes teachers’ perception towards the implementation of Teacher Certification Program (TCP) conducted in Indonesia. Next to that, the differences in teachers’ perception between certified and uncertified teachers were also discussed to find whether the difference perception between certified and uncertified teachers exists. To obtain such objectives, a comparative survey research was established. Of 99 randomly selected sample of senior high school teachers in Banjarmasin municipality of South Kalimantan Province of Indonesia who did not follow TCP, failed and passed on portfolio assessment were included in the study. The data was gathered by using a close ended questionnaire with 5 subscales . The descriptive analysis of teachers’ perception of total-TCP- and TCP-subscales showed that teachers have a positive perception of the implementation of TCP. Data analyze by Anova and Kruskal Wallis test showed that no significant differences in teachers perception between three groups of teachers. Besides, teachers gave some positive suggestions for improving the implementation of TCP.Key words: teachers’ perception, teacher certification program, teacher quality.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu kompetensi profesional guru yang penting untuk mengukur kualitas hasil belajar siswa. Pada mata pelajaran kimia, evaluasi pembelajaran tersebut perlu dilakukan secara detil hingga diketahui sejauh mana pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki siswa. Salah satu instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan adalah tes diagnostik bentuk bertingkat atau multi–tier. Beberapa penelitian di Indonesia melaporkan bahwa guru cenderung mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi yang berbasis diagnostic multi–tier. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) berikut bertujuan untuk membantu guru menjadi terampil dalam mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi diagnostik multi–tier. Peserta kegiatan adalah seluruh guru kimia dari MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) Kimia Kabupaten Barito Kuala, Kalimantan Selatan. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali secara daring. Metode kegiatan meliputi: (1) Penyampaian materi oleh narasumber; (2) Diskusi dan tanya–jawab antara narasumber dengan peserta; (3) Penugasan kepada peserta; dan (4) Evaluasi hasil penugasan. Instrumen evaluasi diagnostik multi–tier yang telah dikembangkan oleh peserta kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat diharapkan dapat menguatkan kompetensi profesional guru Kimia Implementation of learning evaluation is one of the teacher's professional competence that is important to survey students' quality of learning outcomes. The evaluation in chemistry subject needs to be done detailly in determining how students understand the concepts. One of the learning evaluation instruments that can be used is multi-tier diagnostic. Several studies in Indonesia reported that teachers experience difficulties developing evaluation instruments based on multi-tier diagnostic. The following community service activities aimed to help teachers become skilled in developing multi-tier diagnostic evaluation instruments. Participants in the activity were all chemistry teachers from the MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) of Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan. The activity was carried out twice online. Methods of activity included: (1) Delivering material by the speakers; (2) Discussions between speakers and participants; (3) Assigning participants; and (4) Evaluating the assignment's result. There was expected that the multi-tier diagnostic evaluation instruments developed by participants of community service could strengthen their professional competence.

Abstract

Pendidikan lingkungan perlu ditunjang dengan sumber belajar yang relevan. Sumber belajar menggunakan buku ilmiah populer dipadukan dengan potensi lingkungan siswa menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan-permasalahan pada proses pembelajaran. Siswa akan lebih mudah mengikuti karena dekat dengan kehidupan siswa, sehingga menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, menantang, dan menerapkan proses pembelajaran bervariasi. Penelitian pengembangan bertujuan untuk menguji validitas prototipe buku ilmiah populer yang berjudul "Penyu Penyangga Kehidupan Pulau Sembilan Kotabaru". Metode pengembangan yang digunakan ialah Plomp dan Nieveen yang dibatasi pada fase evaluasi formatif. Uji data dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Pulau Sembilan dengan jumlah tiga orang siswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen lembar validasi dan angket keterbacaan siswa. Data validitas dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis dari aspek validitas memperoleh nilai rata-rata 89,42% masuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Adapun uji keterbacaan memperoleh  nilai rata-rata 87,82% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil di atas, buku ilmiah populer yang dikembangkan menarik, efektif dan efisien untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Validity of the popular turtle scientific book for coastal high school students'. Environmental education needs to be supported by relevant learning resources. Learning resources using popular scientific books combined with the potential of the student's environment becomes a solution to overcome the problems in the learning process. Students will be easier to follow because it is close to students' lives, thus creating learning that is fun, challenging, and applying a varied learning process. Development research aims to examine the validity of a popular scientific book prototype entitled "Penyu Penyangga Kehidupan Pulau Sembilan". The development methods used are Plomp and Nieveen which are limited to the formative evaluation phase. Data testing was carried out on students of class XI of SMAN 1 Pulau Sembilan with a total of three students. Data retrieval using the instrument validation sheet and student readability questionnaire. Validity data were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The results of the analysis of the validity aspect obtained an average value of 89.42% in the very valid category. The readability test obtained an average value of 87.82% with a very good category. Based on the results above, popular scientific books developed are interesting, effective and efficient for use in learning.

Abstract

Interactive learning resources contribute to the success of the learning process and students' critical thinking skills but have not been developed equally in every subject. This study aims to obtain the practicality of Macromedia Flash in improving the critical thinking skills of Kurau 1 State Senior High School students. This type of research is a Tessmer formative test with research subjects of 30 students of Kurau 1 State Senior High School. The research data were analyzed descriptively, practicality data included the use of instructional media and student responses, showing that Macromedia Flash was developed practical for used in learning and could improve the critical thinking skills of senior high school students.AbstrakSumber belajar interaktif memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesuksesan proses pembelajaran dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, akan tetapi belum dikembangkan secara merata pada setiap mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kepraktisan Macromedia Flash dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMAN 1 Kurau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji formatif Tessmer dengan subjek penelitian 30 siswa SMAN 1 Kurau. Data penelitian dianalisa secara diskriptif, data kepraktisan meliputi keterlaksanaan penggunaan media pembelajaran dan respon siswa, menunjukkan bahwa Macromedia Flash yang dikembangkan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk E-LKPD interaktif berbantuan Linktree dengan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi koloid yang valid, praktis dan efektif sebagai bahan ajar dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 5 orang validator yang terdiri dari dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia FKIP ULM, ahli media, dan guru kimia di SMAN 3 Banjarmasin, serta subjek uji coba yang terdiri atas 5 orang peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 3 Banjarmasin pada uji coba lapangan awal dan 30 orang peserta didik pada uji coba lapangan utama. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, angket respon dan uji keterbacaan peserta didik, angket respon guru, angket motivasi belajar, lembar observasi, dan lembar validasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD interaktif yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria sebagai berikut: (1) Sangat valid dengan persentase 96,6% berdasarkan analisis aspek umum, isi, kebahasaan dan desain. (2) Sangat praktis dengan persentase 91,78% pada ujicoba lapangan awal, 88,75% pada ujicoba lapangan utama, serta hasil respon guru dengan persentase 92,86% dan aktivitas guru sebesar 80,55%. (3) Efektif, ditinjau dari peningkatan motivasi belajar dengan N-gain 0,40 (sedang) dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan N-gain 0,71 (tinggi). E-LKPD interaktif dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran khususnya pada materi koloid.

Abstract

Critical attitude is born from critical thinking skills in the neighborhood (surrounding environment) and the daily life of the individual. Critical thinking skills can be trained in the learning process by using appropriate learning strategies and resources. One of the learning resources that can be used to practice critical thinking skills is a contextual electronic handout (e-handout). This study aims to describe the practicality of the e-handout “Surrounding Wetlands Environment” to practice critical thinking skills. Assessment of the practicality of the e-handout through one-on-one evaluation and small group evaluation. The research subjects were 5 students of Biology Education at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (one-on-one evaluation) and 5 other students (small group evaluation). The data collection instruments used were readability test questionnaires, implementation test questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and critical thinking skills measurement activity sheets. The results showed that the e-handout "Surrounding Wetlands Environment" is very practical to practice critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student worksheets (LKPD) based on critical thinking skills in class X biology at MAN Barito Utara. Through the development stage including self evaluation, expert reviews, one to one, small group, and field tests. The research subjects were 3 students for the readability test (one to one), 6 students for the small group test, and one class for the field test on LKPD based on critical thinking skills. The type of data is descriptive data, using module implementation instruments and student responses are used for practical content, practical expectations, and actual practicality. Data analysis techniques were carried out in accordance with the objectives of the research which included practical worksheets based on students' critical thinking skills. Data calculation is done by calculating the total score of each aspect tested and then dividing the total score so that the percentage that shows the practicality of the LKPD is obtained. The results of the study showed that the LKPD that had been developed was stated to be very practical based on individual LKPD tests with an average value of 90.23%. The android-based module is stated to be practical because the results of student responses with an average score of 95.00% with very good criteria, the results of LKPD implementation with an average of 88.52% with criteria of strongly agree, the results of student responses show the expected and actual practical values with an average -an average of 93.33% with very practical criteria.Keywords: practicality, LKPD, android module, critical thinking skills. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran biologi kelas X di MAN Barito Utara. Melalui tahap pengembangan meliputi self evaluation, expert reviews, one to one, small group, dan field test. Subjek penelitian adalah 3 siswa untuk uji keterbacaan (one to one), 6 siswa untuk uji small group, dan satu kelas untuk uji field test pada LKPD berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis. Jenis data yaitu data deskriptif, menggunakan instrument keterlaksanaan modul dan respon siswa digunakan untuk kepraktisan isi, kepraktisan harapan, dan kepraktisan aktual. Teknis analisis data dilakukan sesuai dengan tujuan dari penelitian yang meliputi kepraktisan LKPD berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Perhitungan data dilakukan dengan cara menghitung jumlah skor tiap aspek yang diuji kemudian dibagi jumlah skor total sehingga didapatkanlah persentase yang menunjukan kepraktisan LKPD. Hasil penelitian menujukan LKPD yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat praktis berdasarkan uji perorangan LKPD dengan nilai rata-rata 90,23%. Modul berbasis android dinyatakan praktis karena hasil respon siswa dengan rata-rata nilai 95,00% dengan kriteria sangat baik, hasil keterlaksanaan LKPD dengan rata-rata 88,52% dengan kriteria sangat setuju, hasil respon siswa menunjukan nilai kepraktisan harapan dan aktual dengan rata-rata 93,33% dengan kriteria sangat praktis.Kata kunci: kepraktisan, LKPD, modul android, kemampuan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

The industrial revolution era of 4.0 requires every graduate to have thinking skills, but in reality, these skills are still low in schools. Interactive media is an alternative solution that can be used to train students' critical thinking skills. This study develops a telegram bot to train the students' critical thinking skills on the material of the digestive system. The research method uses the modified Borg & Gall model and is limited to five steps, namely: 1) preliminary research; 2) develop the initial product; 3) expert validation and revision; 4) small field trials and revisions; e) large-scale field trials and final products. The research instruments used were validation questionnaires, response questionnaires, media implementation and learning achievement tests which were then analyzed descriptively. The results show that the telegram bot is very valid with very good legibility. The practicality of the telegram bot is shown by the implementation of the media, with a score of 94.3 and student responses of 93.93. The results of increasing the student's critical thinking skills show an N-Gain of 0.65, categorized as moderate. Therefore, the telegram bot on the digestive system effectively trains students' critical thinking skills.Abstrak Era revolusi industri 4.0 mengharuskan setiap lulusan memiliki keterampilan berpikir, namun realitanya keterampilan ini masih rendah di sekolah.  Media interaktif menjadi salah satu solusi alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini mengembangkan bot telegram untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi dan dibatasi hingga lima langkah yakni: 1) penelitian pendahuluan; 2) mengembangkan produk awal; 3) validasi ahli dan revisi; 4) uji coba lapangan kecil dan revisi; e) uji coba lapangan skala besar dan produk akhir. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket validasi, angket respon siswa, keterlaksanaan media dan tes hasil belajar yang dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bot telegram tergolong sangat valid dengan keterbacaan sangat baik. Kepraktisan ditunjukkan dari keterlaksanaan media dengan skor 94,3 dan respon siswa sebesar 93,93. Hasil peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan N-Gain sebesar 0.65 yang terkategori sedang. Oleh karena itu bot telegram materi sistem pencernaan efektif digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Adanya guru-guru yang mengalami kendala dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran daring karena kurang memahami model-model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru terhadap penerapan Model Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) di era daring dalam upaya meningkatkan self-regulation, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy bagi peserta didik. Adapun jumlah peserta kegiatan pengabdian sebanyak 77 orang yang terdiri atas guru-guru tingkat SMA dan SMK se-Kalimantan Selatan dan mahasiswa FKIP ULM. Kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan aplikasi zoom cloud meeting pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2021. Tahap persiapan dimulai dengan melakukan diskusi dengan guru-guru terkait permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam proses pembelajaran daring, penyusunan panduan dan materi sosialisasi. Tahap pelaksanaan berupa penyampaian materi tentang Model SCT dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Tahap evaluasi dengan membagikan kuesioner dalam upaya mengukur pemahaman dan antusias peserta terhadap Model SCT. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh adalah guru-guru lebih memahami Model SCT beserta kelebihan dan kekurangannya dalam proses pembelajaran serta antusias untuk menerapkannya di sekolah sebagai usaha untuk meningkatkan self-regulation, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy bagi peserta didik.Some teachers experience problems managing online learning because they do not understand the learning models. This service aims to increase teachers' understanding of applying the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Model in the online era to increase students' self-regulation, critical thinking, and self-efficacy. The number of participants in the community service activity was 77 high school and vocational school teachers from South Kalimantan and ULM FKIP students. Community service activities use the zoom cloud meeting application in October - December 2021. The first step in the planning stage is to discuss with teachers the difficulties of online learning. Next comes the creation of guidelines and outreach materials. Delivering information on the SCT Model and students' critical thinking abilities is part of the implementation step. During the evaluation stage, questionnaires were distributed to participants to gauge their knowledge of and excitement for the SCT Model. The results are that teachers better understand the SCT Model and its advantages and disadvantages in learning. They are enthusiastic about implementing it in schools to increase student self-regulation, critical thinking, and self-efficacy.
