Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Ura Mawashi Geri and Mae Geri kicking techniques to point acquisition in the final kumite round of the student category at the Brawijaya University Karate Championship 2024. The main focus of this study is to determine which kicking technique is more effective in point acquisition, a key issue that the author addresses in this research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, where each athlete who reaches the final kumite round in the student category at the Brawijaya University Karate Championship 2024 is included as a sample. The method used in this research is direct observation, with supporting tools such as score sheets and a mobile phone camera. The data processing and analysis are conducted using percentage formulas. The study found that at the Brawijaya University Karate Championship 2024, the effectiveness of the Ura Mawashi Geri kicking technique in the final kumite round of the student category was 74%, with a failure rate of 26%, while the success rate of the Mae Geri kicking technique in the same round was 30%, with a failure rate of 70%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the more effective kicking technique for point acquisition in the student kumite category at the Brawijaya University Karate Championship 2024 is the Ura Mawashi Geri, with a success rate of 74%.

Abstract

NoSQL Databases are currently an effective solution for managing large data sets distributed across many Servers. NoSQL Database design is usually based on its usability. Specifically related to the system or application to be built. This research aims to measure the Transfer Rate, CPU usage, Memory usage, query execution time for Create, Insert, Delete and remote replication query bandwidth in the Multi-Master Server replication process using two document stored NoSQL Database applications namely CouchBase and CouchDB by entering three different data models namely JSON, XML and CSV. The experimental results show that the Transfer Rate with CSV data format on CouchBase has the lowest value with an average of 111.41 kbps. CPU usage with XML data format on CouchBase has the lowest value with an average of 13.89%. Memory usage with JSON data format on CouchBase has the lowest value with an average of 1.68%. Query Execution Time Create with XML data format on CouchBase has the lowest value with an average of 1.16 seconds. Query Execution Time Insert on CouchBase with CSV data format has the lowest value with an average of 33.28 seconds. Bandwidth Query Execution Time Insert with CSV data format on CouchBase has the lowest value with an average of 24.78 mb. Query Execution Time Delete with JSON, XML and CSV data formats on CouchDB has the lowest value with an average of 1.5 seconds. Further research recommendations are to test Multi-Master Server Replication using other data formats and parameters or test the performance of data migration to other Databases with different data formats.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of supporting facilities for artistic gymnastics achievements owned by clubs in Central Java. The purpose of this research is to develop roller math that can be used for basic gymnastics technique training, especially for beginner athletes in Central Java. The research method uses R&D using 10 steps of research and development. The small-scale test used a sample of 10 athletes, while the broad-scale test used 30 athletes. The expert validation sheet instrument was used to validate the initial product and the questionnaire was used to collect small-scale test data and broad-scale tests. Data analysis using percentage description. The results of the initial product validation of the roller math tool from 2 artistic gymnastics experts and 2 equipment experts. The results of the average score of gymnastics expert 1 score 93, gymnastics expert 2 score 92, equipment expert 1 score 92 and equipment expert 2 score 93. The development of roller math tools can be used for front roll, flic flac, hand spring exercises. Expert validation shows a score of 92% which means the tool can be continued for the field trial process. The results of the field trial showed a tool acceptance rate of 87.25%. It is concluded that the roller math tool can be used for training beginner athletes in Central Java.

Abstract

Abstract: Amid the growing diversity of cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds in Indonesia, fostering a spirit of tolerance among students has become a critical challenge in today’s educational landscape. This study stems from concerns over the predominantly one-way instructional approach in Islamic Religious Education, which often lacks space for inclusive dialogue among students. The research aims to explore how the implementation of collaborative learning methods in Islamic Religious Education can contribute to cultivating tolerance among students at SMA Senopati Sedati Sidoarjo. Employing a qualitative approach and case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with Islamic Religious Education and Christian Religious Education teachers, and analysis of instructional documents. The findings indicate that collaborative strategies—such as diverse group work, cross-perspective discussions, and joint projects rooted in moderate Islamic values—can foster a more open and respectful learning environment. Students became more engaged in discussions and accustomed to listening to differing viewpoints without judgment. Nevertheless, challenges such as uneven learning motivation and limited resources remain obstacles. These findings suggest that participatory and contextual Islamic Religious Education instruction is not only relevant but also effective in shaping a more tolerant younger generation, better prepared to thrive in a pluralistic society. Abstract

This study analyzes the causes of overflow in fuel oil purifiers (FOP) and proposes preventive maintenance actions. FOPs are critical auxiliary machines that separate fuel from water, sludge, and contaminants to ensure optimal combustion in generators and reduce damage due to poor fuel quality. The method combines HAZOP to identify process deviations and root causes with Urgency–Seriousness–Growth (USG) analysis to prioritize dominant factors and define corrective actions. Results indicate that overflow is primarily triggered by bowl fouling/deposits, nozzle blockage in the bowl body, and wear of the main seal ring. These conditions disrupt purification so that clean fuel fails to exit through the clean-fuel outlet and returns as overflow. Recommended controls include periodic cleaning and maintenance of the bowl and nozzles—removing sludge and scale that can cause blockage—and scheduled replacement of worn components. The findings underscore the importance of disciplined preventive maintenance to sustain FOP performance and onboard generator reliability.
