Abstract

Limited knowledge of teachers in the process of writing scientific articles as a means of this service. Based on the results of interviews at the KKG for Elementary School Teachers in Pamenang with the chairman of the KKG, information was obtained that: there are still teachers who have difficulty using scientific article writing. This occurs because there is a lack of concise training assistance for the process of writing scientific articles. On average, the reason is a lack of understanding of the guidelines for writing scientific papers and teachers are not used to using the media as a reference source, then there are no training activities organized by the KKG to increase teachers' knowledge in writing scientific articles. Seeing the problems that exist in the KKG Teacher Team in Pamenang regarding the problem of writing scientific articles, it is necessary to carry out a Journal Article Writing Training to Support Professional Competence for the KKG Teacher Team in Pamenang. The objectives to be achieved through this training activity are: 1). The production of scientific articles by teachers which can later be used as material for promotion. 2). Produced articles published in online media, 3) Produce Scientific Articles which will be published in the PPM Journal. 4). Affirm Activities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a short film based on local culture for the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5). Development was carried out using the research and development (R&D) method according to Lee and  Aka (2019). This model includes five main steps, namely: 1) needs assessment and analysis, 2) design, 3) development, 4) implementation, and 5) evaluation. To obtain validity and response, an evaluation model developed by Vaughan, (2006) was carried out using the format of ongoing evaluation, alpha test and beta test. The results of product validity testing carried out by learning technology experts, learning media experts and material experts concluded that the short documentary film based on local culture and history for P5 was declared valid with very good and appropriate criteria with an average validity level of 89.27%. The results of trials on 36 students in class Film media facilitates students' positive attitudes such as increasing learning motivation, helping understanding cultural and historical literacy with an acceptance rate of 83.31%. In conclusion, the short film developed is valid, practical and easy to use.

Abstract

Within the context of Indonesian higher education, the assessment focuses on the three domains of students’ competencies, namely knowledge, skills, and attitude. Therefore, this study aims to explore the assessment practice of EFL lecturers, especially the methods used in assessing the three students’ competencies. It also explores the general assessment practice and examines differences by educational degree and length of teaching experience. This quantitative study relies on survey data from 71 participants joining the EFL lecturers’ association in Indonesia. Furthermore, the convenient sampling technique was used to determine the sample, and the data were analyzed using SPSS version 24. The results showed that the lecturers employed various methods in assessing the three domains of students’ competencies. It was also found that the lecturers mostly employed observation (66.2%) for assessing attitudes domain, tests (33.8%) for assessing knowledge, and work performance (29.6%) for skills. The findings demonstrated that the lecturers have followed the assessment policy of the government related to the method, purpose, instrumentation, procedure, and reporting grade. The results also showed no differences in the assessment practice between lecturers with Master and Doctoral degrees. Additionally, there was no difference among the four categories of teaching experiences in the assessment practice. These findings are expected to become a reference for lecturers and curriculum development in conducting and designing appropriate assessments to guarantee teaching and learning quality.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menupakan satuan pendidikan yang diharapkan dapat menciptakan tenaga kerja atau SDM yang terampil. Tenaga kerja terampil ini terbukti dapat mengisi peluang kerja yang dibutuhkan oleh industri dan usaha kecil menengah rumahan. Tidak hanya itu, tenaga kerja muda terampil mampu mengembangkan usaha sendiri dan mampu bertahan dari dampak krisis ekonomi. SMKN 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur sebagai satuan pendidikan kejuruan yang ada di Provinsi Jambi merupakan salah satu SMK di Provinsi Jambi yang tidak terlepas dari permasalahan dalam pengelolaan peserta didik pascapandemi Covid 19. Permasalahan tersebut adalah terdapatnya siswa rentan putus sekolah yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor pemicu. Kegiatan fasilitasi dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman secara teoretik dan praktik baik penanganan siswa rentan putus sekolah. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode fasilitasi in service dan on the job learning. Hasil fasilitasi dan pendampingan terhadap Satgas SRPS yang melakukan tugasnya selama pertengahan Agustus sampai akhir September 2023 memperlihatkan perkembangan yang positif. Dari jumlah 11 siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah dalam belajar tinggal 4 orang saja. Siswa dilibatkan dalam aktivitas pembelajaran yang berbasis proyek dilakukan guru. Untuk 6 siswa yang berasal dari keluarga tidak mampu dapat diintervensi 3 orang, sehingga masih 3 siswa lagi yang dalam proses pendampingan dan fasilitasi. Sedangkan untuk siswa yang dari keluarga kurang harmonis dan korban perundungan sedang dalam proses pendampingan dan fasilitasi khusus oleh Satgas SRPS. Kesimpulannya, fasilitasi dan pendampingan terhadap Satgas SRPS selama periode Agustus hingga September 2023 menunjukkan kemajuan yang positif, dengan hanya 4 dari 11 siswa yang awalnya memiliki motivasi rendah dalam belajar.

Abstract

The background of this research is that it is very difficult for teachers or homeroom teachers to actualize their abilities in filling out report cards every semester.Filling in manually from typing one by one using Microsoft Word makes all teachers or homeroom teachers bored with this situation.The product of the author is a simple report card. Therefore, it is no longer difficult for teachers to fill out report cards so that in the future filling out report cards will no longer make teachers tired.This development research aims to produce a simple report card product.This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Sarolangun.The learning multimedia model used in this study is Lee & Owens (2004).The development stages passed are: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.The resulting product is in the form of a report card which was developed using Microsoft Access and later can be accessed on each teacher's laptop.The feasibility test was carried out by media experts, and the assessment by the teacher.The results of the research based on the feasibility test of the media are suitable for use by end users in the very good or very feasible categories.The criteria are reflected in the aspects that have been assessed, namely, presentation, method of use, media for users, namely teachers, ease of use of the product, received a very good rating category.The results of the field trials show the enthusiasm of the homeroom teacher in using the report cards that the author has done during individual trials and limited trials.They seemed happy with this product even though it was not as perfect as imagined, but they were no longer tired of typing one by one.Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the quality of the report card application development product is very good.Thus it can be suggested, that the media can be used as a very simple application in filling out report cards.This product still needs to be developed with a better appearance so that it can be used by other SMK.

Abstract

Downstreaming the results of ’lecturers’ research is a strategic activity to improve the performance of a higher education institution (HEI) which requires research on mapping the commercialization potential. This research aims to understand the role of research centres in the commercialization process and increasing start-ups at one Indonesian university, Universitas Jambi (UNJA). Besides, this research maps the potential for commercialization assessed from the valuation system and technology readiness levels (TRL). This research is important for achieving the institution vision of " a world-class entrepreneurship university based on agroindustry and environment”. The results are expected to contribute to empirical thinking for formulating research policies. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with research lecturers and leadership elements as the informants. The TLR of the research is 5, and the research output is in the form of publications in indexed international journals, international seminar certificates, and registered textbooks. The results of the study indicate that policies and programs to increase the commercialization of research results have been carried out. A start-up planning and valuation system has also been done and has a good opportunity to increase the commercialization of research results.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui performa dari pengembangan video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan menggunakan alat yang dimodifikasi untuk siswa sekolah dasar, (2) mengetahui keefektifan video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan menggunakan alat yang dimodifikasi untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE (Analysis-Desain-Development-Implementation-Evaluation). Model ini terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu: tahap analisis, tahap desain, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) proses pengembangan video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan mengunakan alat yang dimodifikasi dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu: 1) hasil validasi ahli materi dari validasi tahap I diperoleh hasil persentase sebesar 64,6% dengan kriteria cukup layak, kemudian dilakukan perbaikan sesuai dengan saran ahli materi dan dilakukan validasi tahap II diperoleh hasil persentase 92,3% dengan kriteria sangat layak, 2) hasil validasi ahli media dari validasi tahap I di peroleh hasil persentase sebesar 66,3 % dengan kriteria cukup layak, kemudian dilakukan perbaikan sesuai dengan saran ahli media dan dilakukan validasi tahap II diperoleh hasil persentase 71,6% dengan kriteria layak; (2) keefektifan video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan menggunakan alat yang dimodifikasi berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan, meliputi uji coba guru PJOK diperoleh 93% dengan kriteria sangat layak, (3) penggunaan video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan menggunakan alat yang dimodifikasi berdasarkan uji coba lapangan, meliputi:1) uji coba kelompok kecil yaitu 10 siswa diperoleh hasil 82,8% dengan kriteria layak, 2) uji coba kelompok besar dengan 25 siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 205/IV Kota Jambi, diperoleh hasil 87,7% dengan kriteria layak. Pengembangan ini telah membuktikan bahwa video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan menggunakan alat yang dimodifikasi untuk siswa sekolah dasar layak, efektif dan baik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, pengembang menyarankan kepada berbagai pihak terutama guru PJOK pada tingkat SD/Mi kelas IV agar menggunakan video pembelajaran lari gawang dengan menggunakan alat yang dimodifikasi sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan Media pembelajaran Bahaya rokok, Minuman keras dan Narkoba menggunakan video animasi pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 177 Kota Jambi. Tujuan dari pengembangan ini adalah Menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang dapat mempermudah siswa dalam belajar secara mandiri. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu model pengembangan Bella H Banathy yang terdiri dari enam tahapan yaitu : (1) Menganalisi dan merumuskan tujuan, (2) mengembangkan tes, (3) menganalisis kegiatan belajar, (4) mendesai system instructional, (5) melaksanakan kegiatan dan mengetes hasil, (6) mengadakan perbaikan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu video pembelajaran bahaya rokok, minuman keras dan narkoba menggunakan video animasi yang didalamnya mencakup gambar, suara, musik serta materi pembelajaran bahaya rokok minuman keras dan narkoba untuk siswa kelas V. video pembelajaran tersebut bisa diakses melalui whatsapp & google drive. Sesuai dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan pengembangan media pembelajaran ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi terhadap kebutuhan objek, setelah di desain menjadi produk yaitu video pembelajaran selanjutnya di validasi para ahli media maupun materi, guna memperbaiki dan menyempurnakan video. serta melihat respon siswa terhadap video pembelajaran tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan respon di atas 80% termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”.

Abstract

Generasi Z saat ini umumnya menyukai sesuatu hal yang kreatif, praktis dan menyenangkan dalam berbagai aktivitas, termasuk ketika belajar. adapun penerapannya yaitu pembelajaran berbasis game (Game Based Learning). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan Modul Game Based Learning untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan Kreatif Mapel IPA Bagi Peserta Didik Tunadaksa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SLB Negeri Prof. Dr. Sri Soedewi Masjchun Sofwan, SH Jambi. Tahap pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation), penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan produk Modul Game Based Learning Korosi pada Logam IPA SMALB Kelas XII. Berdasarkan review para ahli tersebut maka didapatkan penilaian akhir modul memenuhi kriteria yaitu sangat baik dengan rata-rata keseluruhan skor dari masing- masing ahli, yaitu 9,57, 9,51, dan 9,02. Modul juga dinyatakan valid dan dapat diterapkan pada uji lapangan. Pada uji coba perorangan dan uji coba kelompok kecil didapatkan rata-rata keseluruhan skor dari 5 (lima) aspek yang terdapat dalam angket memenuhi kriteria penilaian yaitu sangat praktis dengan nilai 8,9. Untuk itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan baik, menarik, memenuhi kriteria layak, dan dapat disarankan untuk dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas secara tatap muka maupun digunakan secara mandiri oleh pendidik dan peserta didik.

Abstract

This research examined the effectiveness of English as the solely instructional medium in one informal educational institution. In the first English class, an English-only rule was strictly ruled whereas in the second English class, the use of Bahasa Jambi as the students’ local language was permitted. The research is appropriately undertaken as a mix method research with quantitative and qualitative approach. The site of the research is an established informal English institution in Indonesia. The authors used three kinds of instruments in collecting the data; questionnaires, tests (pre-test and post-test), and interviews. Participants of the research are the students of intermediate classes of an informal education institution in Jambi. The results show that 1) the students of the first class have stronger preferences to learn English than the students of the second class 2) the students’ English proficiency improvement of the first English class “under the strict rule of the use of English” is slightly higher than that of the second class “the local language permitted”. Suggestions and recommendations are offered for the betterment of English teaching and learning in Indonesia.
