Abstract

Currently, students tend to be less innovative and creative in learning and its implementation in everyday life. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a learning strategy oriented towards contextual problem solving to find solutions based on the experiences of students so that they can be more creative and innovative. This research aims to reveal how PjBL contributes to increasing student creativity. This research was conducted with a literature review of articles in international journals, international seminar proceedings, and SINTA accredited journals. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that to realize high creativity, the PjBL model is one of the best solutions to increase students' creativity. This learning model is able to make students more creative and innovative in solving every problem in everyday life by following PjBL syntax. PjBL is suggested to be an alternative for educators to train and foster the formation of students' creativity. It can also be concluded that PjBL can train and increase student creativity because the syntax of this learning model allows students to explore, create, interpret and develop products resulting from their projects.

Abstract

Cell material is one of the biological materials that contains many abstract concepts and objects, this causes students to have difficulty understanding the concept and has an impact on the low learning outcomes of students. Misconceptions arise when learners develop their own understanding of a concept, but the concept is wrong and different from the actual concept. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the level of understanding of the concept of students. Identification is done using a Multiple Choice test with CRI which aims to determine the percentage level of understanding of students on cell material. Students' understanding is categorized into understanding the concept, misconceptions and not understanding the concept. The results showed that the percentage of students' misconceptions on cell organelles was 34.03%, the concept of differences between animal cells and plant cells was 31.48%, the concept of cell types was 28.47%, the concept of cell components was 35.42% and the concept of cell bioprocessing was 36.11%. The average misconception of students on cell material is 33.10%. The average percentage of students' misconceptions is classified as low.

Abstract

Abstract

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, education in Indonesia needs to make adjustments so that the implementation of education can continue. One of the policies carried out by the government under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture was to implement the Emergency Curriculum (simplified Curriculum-2013). Over time, the government prepared a new curriculum prototype which has now been formalized as the Independent Curriculum. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum (IKM) begins in stages in schools called “Sekolah Penggerak”. This research was conducted to find out how the planning and design stages of IKM were carried out by a Sekolah Penggerak in one of the schools in West Sumatra. Data obtained from observations and interviews conducted with informants who know and are involved in IKM. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it was found that the initial step taken by the school as a driving school was to form a Curriculum Development Team (TPK) which would later coordinate with the provincial TPK. Some of the activities that have been carried out by TPK schools were observed. The preparations that have been made to become a driving school are (1) conducting training for teachers, (2) forming a learning committee, (3) compiling the Curriculum of Education Unit Operational (KOSP), (4) preparing curriculum tools such as KSOP, Outcomes Learning (CP), Learning Objective Flow (ATP), teaching modules, and strategies for implementing project-based learning or projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. Apart from that, the things that schools have prepared in facing an independent curriculum are (1) studying and understanding the regulations regarding an independent curriculum, (2) coordinating with all teacher boards, and 3) adopting a level of complexity curriculum.
