Abstract

Low employee retention and high workloads among healthcare workers in hospitals can lead to decreased affective commitment to the organization. Work stress is a critical factor that weakens healthcare workers’ emotional attachment to their workplace, while work motivation is often considered essential for improving performance and employee loyalty. This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation on affective commitment mediated by work stress among healthcare workers at Bhayangkara Hospital, Mamuju. This research employed a quantitative approach using an associative research design. The study was conducted at Bhayangkara Hospital Mamuju, with healthcare workers as the research respondents. A total of 97 respondents were selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS software with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results indicate that work motivation does not have a direct effect on affective commitment. However, work motivation has a significant effect on reducing work stress, and lower work stress significantly increases affective commitment. Furthermore, work stress fully mediates the relationship between work motivation and affective commitment, indicating that improvements in motivation will only enhance affective commitment when accompanied by reduced work stress. These findings imply that hospital management should integrate motivational strategies with effective work stress management to strengthen healthcare workers’ affective commitment to the organization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of referral healthcare service quality in the KJSU-KIA program (Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Stroke, Uronephrology, Maternal and Child Health) on patient satisfaction at Sawerigading Regional General Hospital (RSUD Sawerigading Palopo) using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. Strengthening referral healthcare services has become one of the national health transformation priorities in Indonesia to improve access, quality, and continuity of healthcare services, particularly for catastrophic and priority diseases. This research employed a quantitative explanatory design with a cross-sectional approach involving 200 patients receiving KJSU-KIA referral services. Data were collected using SERVQUAL-based questionnaires covering five dimensions of service quality: Tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and Empathy. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings revealed that reliability, responsiveness, and assurance had a significant positive effect on patient satisfaction, while Tangibles and Empathy did not show significant effects. Among all dimensions, responsiveness was identified as the most dominant factor influencing patient satisfaction. The structural model demonstrated strong explanatory power with an R² value of 0.618, indicating that service quality dimensions explained 61.8% of the variance in patient satisfaction. The study concludes that improving responsiveness, reliability, and professional assurance is essential to enhance patient satisfaction in referral healthcare services within the KJSU-KIA program at RSUD Sawerigading Palopo.

Abstract

Abstrak Kekerasan seksual dan perundungan merupakan dua fenomena sosial yang masih menjadi tantangan serius dalam lingkungan pendidikan di Indonesia. KPAI melaporkan sepanjang tahun 2021 terdapat 1.258 kasus kekerasan terhadap anak di lingkungan pendidikan, dengan 229 kasus di antaranya merupakan kekerasan seksual. Intervensi di sekolah telah terbukti sebagai strategi yang efektif dalam mengurangi insiden perundungan dan kekerasan dengan melibatkan semua elemen dan dilakukan secara holistik. Tujuan kegiatan penyuluhan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai kekerasan seksual dan perundungan sebagai bagian dari kesadaran kolektif dalam menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Penyuluhan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Maros yang diikuti oleh 32 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) yang menekankan pada keterlibatan aktif peserta melalui ceramah dan tanya jawab serta evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah para siswa sangat antusias dengan aktif bertanya dan menjawab pertanyaan serta memahami mengenai kekerasan seksual dan perundungan secara komprehensif. Siswa memahami mengenai bentuk-bentuk kekerasan seksual dan perundungan, jenis dan bentuk kekerasan seksual dan perundungan, pihak yang terlibat, dampak negatifnya, serta strategi pencegahan dan penanganannya. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah menanamkan konsep perubahan yang baru dalam berperilaku dan bersosialisasi pada siswa. Kata kunci: kesadaran kolektif; penyuluhan; anti kekerasan seksual; anti perundungan; siswa SMA. Abstract Sexual violence and bullying are two social phenomena that are still serious challenges in the educational environment in Indonesia. KPAI reported that throughout 2021 there were 1,258 cases of violence against children in the educational environment, with 229 cases of sexual violence. Intervention in schools has proven to be an effective strategy in reducing incidents of bullying and violence by engaging all elements and being carried out holistically. The purpose of this counseling activity is to increase students' understanding of sexual violence and bullying as part of collective awareness in creating a better learning atmosphere. This counseling was held at SMA Negeri 3 Maros which was attended by 32 students. The method used is the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach which emphasizes the active involvement of participants through lectures and questions and answers as well as activity evaluation. The result of the implementation of the activity was that the students were very enthusiastic by actively asking and answering questions and understanding sexual violence and bullying comprehensively. Students understand the forms of sexual violence and bullying, the types and forms of sexual violence and bullying, the parties involved, their negative impacts, and prevention and handling strategies. The conclusion of this activity is to instill a new concept of change in behavior and socialization in students. Keywords: collective consciousness; extension; anti-sexual violence; anti-bullying; senior high school students.
