Abstract

The local coffee farmers employ manual inspection to identify the maturity of coffee cherries that are inefficient in labor and time. Thus, the objective of this study is to develop a CNN-VGG19 algorithm model that can accurately detect the maturity image of coffee cherry samples, and classify them into: unripe, semi-ripe, ripe, and overripe categories. The proposed solution will provide local coffee farmers with an automated and more accurate classification of the quality of coffee cherries. The visual geometry group-19 was employed to increase the object recognition model performance of the proposed algorithm while maintaining higher accuracy and quicker throughput, thus increasing revenues. The images are utilized as training and test set data. They were then processed by using the feature extraction of CNN-VGG19 deep learning model, and got four coffee cherry maturity classes. The model architecture attained a 90.00 % accuracy. Furthermore, the increase in both the validation and training accuracy graph with a corresponding decrease in both the validation and training loss graph propounds that the model performance has improved.

Abstract

This study analyzed Pertamax blended with bioethanol from sugarcane bagasse and pineapple peel on exhaust emissions of a 2025 fuel-injected Honda Beat motorcycle. An experimental method was applied using five fuel variations: pure Pertamax (B0), E5 sugarcane, E10 sugarcane, E5 pineapple, and E10 pineapple. Tests were conducted at 1500, 2500, 4000, 5500, and 7000 rpm with three repetitions. The observed parameters included CO, CO₂, HC, O₂, lambda, and AFR, measured using a gas analyzer and scan tool. The results showed that bioethanol blends reduced average CO and HC compared with pure Pertamax. The lowest CO was obtained with E10 sugarcane at 0.410%, while the lowest HC was obtained with E10 pineapple at 96.20 ppm. Descriptively, E10 sugarcane showed the most prominent CO reduction, whereas E10 pineapple showed the most prominent HC reduction among the tested fuel variations. These findings indicate the potential of sugarcane and pineapple waste bioethanol as a Pertamax blend to support cleaner combustion in fuel-injected motorcycles.

Abstract

A novel approach was devised to optimize the stator slot semi-closed type in order improve the magnetic flux connection and minimize iron leakage in high-speed spindle drives. The concept was executed through a combination of response surface approach including the technique of finite element analysis. The primary objective of this investigation would be to provide an engineering approach which improves the functionality of stator criteria, including the stator slot geometry, coil turn per slot, and wire size. The purpose is to achieve higher flux connection and minimize iron leakage. This study presents an enhanced analytical approach that incorporates the analysis of stator flux connection, finite element calculation of flux connection, and iron leakage analysis of stator variables. The results are analyzed through the utilization of finite element computation, and their accuracy is verified through experimental measurements. The findings suggest the ideal design yields increased magnetic flux connection and reduced iron leakage in comparison to the industrial layout. The precision provided by the suggested model is confirmed through the comparison of the simulation and experimental information. In general, the percentage of errors is estimated to be around 7%.

Abstract

Servis mesin sepeda motor matik empat langkah menuntut ketepatan prosedur, keselamatan kerja, penggunaan alat ukur, interpretasi kondisi komponen, dan penalaran diagnosis. Servicing a four-stroke automatic-motorcycle engine requires procedural accuracy, occupational safety, appropriate tool use, component-condition interpretation, and diagnostic reasoning. Evidence on automotive learning videos has expanded, but it is fragmented across cooling systems, continuously variable transmissions, fuel injection, ignition, and general vocational media; therefore, integrated design principles for engine-service instruction remain unclear. This review mapped the evidence and formulated a design framework for engine-service learning videos. A systematic scoping review was conducted using JBI guidance, PRISMA-ScR, and PRISMA-S. Searches covered Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, SpringerLink, Crossref, DOAJ, citation chaining, and official technical sources for 2018-June 2026, while earlier seminal methodological and technical sources were retained. Of 742 records, 86 duplicates were removed, 656 titles/abstracts were screened, 150 full reports were assessed, and 50 sources were mapped. Hybrid thematic synthesis identified six requirements: procedural visualization, cognitive-load management, safety and technical-standard annotations, job-sheet and performance-rubric integration, case-based diagnosis, and staged media development and evaluation. The main contribution is the V-SERV framework: Procedural Visualization, Safety annotation, Engine-subsystem segmentation, Rubric-based practice, and Vehicle-fault diagnosis. Direct evidence was dominated by local development studies and feasibility testing, so causal claims about long-term retention and workshop performance remain premature. Learning videos should function as standardized demonstrations and pre-practice scaffolds rather than substitutes for hands-on training.

Abstract

Harvesting vibration energy from vehicle suspensions is a strategy to reduce dependence on fossil-fuel electricity. This study aims to optimize the electrical output of an Electromagnetic Regenerative Shock absorber (ERSA) installed on the rear suspension of a Toyota Avanza using the Taguchi method. Three control factors were investigated number of coil turns (1500–2500 turns), wire diameter (0.2–0.4 mm), and air gap (2–6 mm) arranged in an L9 orthogonal array with a larger-the-better criterion for output voltage. Signal-to-noise and ANOVA analyses indicate that coil turns and wire diameter contribute 55.10% and 38.96% of the voltage variation, whereas the influence of air gap is small. The optimal combination A3B3C3 (2500 turns, 0.4-mm wire, 6-mm air gap) yields a verification voltage of 5.30 V with a 5% error relative to the predicted response. These findings show that ERSA has potential as a low-power automotive energy-harvesting system when combined with power-conditioning and storage circuits.
