Abstract

The emergence of increasingly sophisticated technology requires humans to optimize intellectually and morally. Education plays a role in producing a generation of intellectuals and noble characters. Islamic religious education is the basis for becoming a reference for the source of the actual value of power that can lead to the aspired activity, namely character education as the needs of the Indonesian nation. This study aims to examine character education through Islamic religious education in the era of the digital revolution. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of library research or library research. Researchers analyzed written literature as the primary source in books, research journals, and seminar proceedings. Based on this literature review, character education through Islamic religious education is based on religious values, Pancasila, culture, and national education goals. Implementing morality (character) in Islamic religious education through teaching, habituation, coercion, punishment, fosters student character.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of self-regulated learning, self-esteem, social support, and task commitment on academic flow among high-achieving students at State Senior High Schools in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. This study used a correlational quantitative design. Data were collected using the self-regulated learning scale, the self-esteem scale, the social support scale, the task commitment scale, and the academic flow scale. Participants of this study involved 80 students from a total population of 3,204 students who were selected using the quota sampling technique. The result of Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) indicated SRMR = 0.073, and NFI = 0.81, R2=0.484. This result means that self-regulated learning, self-esteem, social support, and task commitment simultaneously explain 48.4% of the variance in academic flow. Further analysis showed that of the four variables, only self-regulated learning and task commitment have a significant effect, implying that higher self-regulated learning and more commitment to the tasks lead to more intense academic flow. This finding differs from some previous study and implied that the students need to be facilitated with self-regulated learning-oriented learning design and need for improvement in task commitment to intensify academic flow that eventually will maintain and exert their optimal performance.

Abstract

Abstract: Thinking skills become one of the important aspects in creating ideas, concepts, and creativity to make something new work. Thinking skills are very necessary for elementary school students because it involves instruments of development in themselves to be able to gain knowledge as well as insight in shaping creativity. Robotics activities are related to creative thinking skills, because this activity is not only done as an activity to develop ideas, concepts, and works but is one of the skills in thinking students to be able to explore their abilities so that students can train and improve their motor skills in creating ideas, concepts, and works in robotics activities. Abstract

This paper discusses about Islam and Javanese culture in Clifford Geertz’s perspective. Geertz's thought was carried out in several stages. First, describing the meaning of religion according to anthropologists. Second, revealing the symbiotic side of Islamic and Javanese mutualism according to Geertz. Meanwhile, if seen from the appreciation and intensity of its practice of Islamic teachings, in the sociological construct, Muslims in Java can be classified into Santri, Abangan, and Priyayi. First is the representation of Javanese Muslims who are very strict in carrying out the teachings of Islam while, in contrast, second one and last is the Muslim community that carries out Islamic teachings in a perfunctory and often "indifferent" way.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of heutagogy in teacher professional development in Indonesian madrasah using social media platforms as a learning tool. The main question addressed is how the heutagogical approach can enhance learning autonomy and promote teaching innovation among madrasah teachers. The study utilizes a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach to develop and test a professional development model based on heutagogy. The findings show that the implementation of this approach successfully increased teacher autonomy, fostered more innovative teaching practices, and facilitated collaboration through social media. This research makes a significant contribution in understanding how heutagogical approaches can improve the quality of teacher professional development in the digital age.

Abstract

Man is a social being who needs each other to another creature. Therefore, it is supposed for every human being to keep each other's words and deeds in order not to cause bad things that are unwanted. Then we should always remember to always be ethical in all things, not be able to act. During this time, many people began to underestimate ethical problems. They act according to their own desires regardless of their creed. Ethics is the most important thing for human possession. Especially for students who are taking their time studying. Ethics is something that should really be considered either when studying inside or outside of class, while in discussion and when attending a forum. One of the keys to gaining success and useful science is good ethics. The purpose of this research is to revive especially for learners about the importance of ethics. The method used in this study is the Literature Review. This research is expected to develop and improve student ethics in order to obtain useful knowledge and success.

Abstract

The issue of gender equality and women's emancipation in the last decades has become an interesting topic of conversation among various groups, from academics, scholars, to the general public. Reality shows that women still get a lot of discriminatory treatment, subordination, and stereotyping, as well as gender injustice in society. Women do not get the same space as men in taking on public roles, especially in education. Where as in Islamic civilization there are many great female figures who have made major contributions in the fields of religion, economy, socio-culture, and education. Many people think that this happens due to an understanding of religious teachings and patriarchal culture in society. M. Quraish Shihab is a scholar and professor of Al-Qur'an interpretation who pays great attention to issues of gender equality and women's emancipation. Through research methods library research, this research article attempts to explore M. Quraish Shihab's thoughts on gender equality and women's emancipation in the interpretation of Al-Misbah and many other related scientific works. This paper concludes that Quraish Shihab provides a clear picture by interpreting the verses of the Qur'an about women and issues of gender equality based on the style of interpretation which has various interpretations that are relevant to the conditions of society to build a vision of gender equality within the framework of values. Islam to eradicate all forms of discrimination against women in various fields, especially in terms of Islamic education.

Abstract

Pentingnya sebuah keterampilan pada analisis cermat teks-teks keagamaan dan pengembangan argumen hukum yang kuat, santri di pondok pesantren diharapkan menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang kuat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi tinjauan cakupan (scoping review) untuk menyusun peta literatur tentang dampak Bahtsul Masail dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi dan menyeleksi makalah berdasarkan model PCC menggunakan kerangka kerja Arksey dan O'Malley, yang diperkuat oleh Levac dkk. dan PRISMA-ScR. Dua belas publikasi ditemukan memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil pemetaan menunjukkan bahwa praktik Bahtsul Masail secara konsisten memperkuat aspek analitis, evaluatif, dan argumentatif santri melalui kegiatan identifikasi masalah, penelusuran dalil, dan musyawarah ilmiah. Faktor pendukung mencakup kompetensi moderator dan budaya diskusi pesantren, sementara hambatan terkait heterogenitas kemampuan santri dan keterbatasan waktu. Mayoritas studi bersifat kualitatif, sehingga bukti kuantitatif tentang peningkatan berpikir kritis masih terbatas dan hanya satu studi menggunakan pengukuran terstandar. Scoping review ini menegaskan bahwa Bahtsul Masail merupakan model pedagogis yang berpotensi dalam penguatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, namun penelitian lanjutan diperlukan dengan desain kuantitatif, longitudinal, dan instrumen psikometrik. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi penting bagi pengembangan kurikulum pesantren berbasis HOTS dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis diskusi

Abstract

The development of 21st-century education demands learning that is not solely oriented toward the transmission of knowledge, but also toward the development of higher-order thinking skills integrated with the social dynamics of students. In educational psychology, cognitive development theory and sociocultural theory are often positioned dichotomously: internal structure versus social mediation. This article aims to formulate a theoretical synthesis that integrates these two perspectives into a complementary and operational developmental model. The research employed a qualitative approach with library research. Data were obtained from primary works and relevant, reputable scientific literature, then analyzed using content analysis and comparative-critical analysis techniques to identify epistemological assumptions, common ground, and limitations of each theory. The results indicate that the structure of cognitive development serves as an indicator of epistemic readiness to learn, while the Zone of Proximal Development acts as an acceleration mechanism through social mediation and adaptive scaffolding. This synthesis yields a dynamic and cyclical Integrative Model of Cognitive-Social Development, in which social interactions encourage cognitive restructuring and shape new readiness at a higher level.
