Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Spiritual Practice-Based Learning Approach to Metaphysics Meditation "He Ning Cipto" in the Cell-Level Life course to build the student's immune system during the covid-19 pandemic. This study involved three classes of 2018 class students with a total of 90 people. This quasi-experimental research uses a "one shot case study" as a research design where there is only a treatment class without control.   Data collection methods in this study include observation, tests and surveys in order to obtain data on the implementation of learning, mastery of concepts, meditation skills, and mental health. The results showed that the implementation of the learning carried out had fulfilled the syntax and obtained the dominant learning management assessment score mode of 4 from the total existing meetings. The learning outcomes test from 3 classes with 4 study topics (Cell Structure and Function, Cell Health Concepts, Body Immune System, Cipto Silent Meditation) in 7 meetings showed that students' mastery of concepts could be achieved maximally both individually and classically with a percentage of completeness of 95, 56%. Based on rewriting data and diaries, Cipto's Silent Meditation skills can be practiced well according to the recommended instructions and procedures. Students' rewriting scores ranged from 78 to 100, while for student diaries they received a minimum score of 80 and a maximum of 100. The questionnaire responses given showed high Mental Attitude Health (KSM) results of 96%, High Cell/Body Health (KST) of 86% and the Happiness Scale Index is in the high category (above 34, 4) with A level between 46-50 at 29%, Level B between 40-45 at 66% and C between 34-39 at 6%. Overall, it can be concluded that this research has helped students in learning and gaining an understanding of the concept of cell health and the immune system, as well as developing silent meditation skills, to build a strong immune system for students and actors in achieving a level of mental health and mental attitude. good dohir cells/body, and pure soul happiness is born as a result of a sense of faith, and evidence of obedience and gratitude to Allah SWT for all His blessings, then the practice of meditation has an impact as a form of self-protection from various kinds of diseases including the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

The spread of Islam in Taiwan is inseparable from the history of Islam's entry into Tiongkok, which began with the migration of Chinese Muslims to Taiwan in the 17th century and was followed by subsequent migrations. This research analyses the phases and influences brought by Muslim migrants to Taiwan. The method used in this research is the historical research method, including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study show that there are four phases of Muslim migration to Taiwan: the first phase occurred in the 17th century, the second phase 1952-1961 which occurred in two waves, the first wave 1952-1954, the third phase occurred in 1961, this phase is also known as the evacuation phase of KMT Veterans from Burma and Thailand. The fourth phase occurred in 1989, with the influx of migrant workers from Tiongkok, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia; these immigrants positively impacted the development of Islam in Taiwan. Evidence of the development of Islam in this fourth phase is the existence of halal certification, halal restaurants and hotels, Muslim-friendly neighborhoods, the establishment of the Indonesian Mosque (Masjid At-Taqwa), the emergence of Muslim communities (FORMMIT, Chinese Muslim Association, Indonesian Student Association) and the presence of Indonesian Muslim organizations (Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah).

Abstract

This research probes the ramifications of globalization on Muslim identity in Singapore since its independence in 1965, concentrating on the four economic development phases pivotal to the nation's growth. It concurrently traces the post-independence evolution of Muslim life, specifically in religious practices and social norms. Singapore's globalization-driven economic ascent, its status as a developed nation, and its competitive business environment stand as evident outcomes. However, the Muslim communities grapple with the challenge of adapting to global shifts while preserving their Islamic identity. The study emphasizes the imperative of comprehending the intricate interplay between globalization and Muslim identity in Singapore. Employing the historical method comprising heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography, the research analyzes historical records and relics. Findings underscore the instrumental role of technology and social media in shaping Muslim identity, facilitating the dissemination of religious information and fostering global connectivity within Muslim communities. While the Singapore government's multiculturalism policy aims for interfaith harmony and recognizes the Muslim community's integral role, restrictions on public expressions of religious identity reflect the state's secular stance. This research offers a profound understanding of the complex dynamics between globalization and Muslim identity in Singapore, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities encountered by Muslim communities in safeguarding their cultural and religious diversity amidst the ever-evolving global landscape.

Abstract

Quality education depends heavily on teachers' pedagogical competence. At Sanggar Bimbingan SIKL Malaysia, there is an urgent need to improve teachers' skills in implementing effective learning methods, particularly inquiry-based learning, in response to increasingly complex student learning challenges. This community service program involved a two-day inquiry-based learning training program, which included theory sessions, practical design sessions, and group discussions. Participants included 17 teachers currently working at Sanggar Bimbingan SIKL. Evaluation used tests to measure changes in their understanding and application of inquiry-based learning methods. The results of the activity showed that teachers were able to explore various sources of information to generate ideas for designing inquiry-based learning. Test results indicated that teachers' understanding and skills after the training were between 80 and 100. Furthermore, teachers responded positively to the training program, considering its content, usefulness, impact, motivation, and facilities and infrastructure. These findings demonstrate that the training was effective in positively impacting the pedagogical competence of Sanggar Bimbingan teachers.
