Abstract

Bitcoin’s daily value fluctuations are very dynamic. Understanding its rapid and intricate price movements demands advanced techniques for processing complex data. This research aims to compare the accuracy of two machine learning methods, Random Forest (RF) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), in predicting Bitcoin price. This research employs RF and LSTM algorithms to forecast Bitcoin prices using a two-year Yahoo Finance dataset. The evaluation metrics used were accuracy based on Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and computational power (CPU-Z). As a result of this research, the LSTM model demonstrates higher accuracy compared to the RF model. MAPE reveals LSTM’s precision of 99.8% and RF’s accuracy of 90.1%. Regarding computational time and resources, RF shows slightly better performance than LSTM. The visual comparison further emphasizes LSTM’s better performance in predicting Bitcoin prices, highlighting its potential for informed decision-making in cryptocurrency trading. This research contributes valuable insights into the effectiveness, strengths, and weaknesses of LSTM and RF models in predicting cryptocurrency trends.

Abstract

Abstract: Zakat is an important instrument in reducing poverty; therefore, its distribution must be carried out accurately and appropriately. In practice, the process of determining zakat beneficiaries at Baitul Mal still encounters several obstacles, such as subjectivity and limitations in processing mustahik data. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to assist Baitul Mal in determining the priority of zakat recipients objectively and systematically. The decision-making process applies the Weighted Sum Model (WSM), in which each criterion is assigned a weight according to its level of importance, and a preference value is then calculated for each candidate recipient. The system was developed as a web-based application to facilitate user access. System evaluation was conducted using User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving Baitul Mal administrators as end users. The test results show that the system obtained an average score above 4 on a 1–5 scale, indicating that it is easy to use, meets user needs, and supports the decision-making process for zakat distribution. Therefore, the proposed system can serve as an effective tool to improve the accuracy and efficiency of zakat distribution to eligible mustahik. Keyword: Zakat, Decision Support System, Weighted Sum Model, User Acceptance Testing, Mustahik Abstrak: Zakat merupakan salah satu instrumen penting dalam upaya mengurangi kemiskinan, sehingga penyalurannya harus dilakukan secara tepat sasaran. Pada praktiknya, proses penentuan prioritas penerima zakat di Baitul Mal masih memiliki kendala, seperti subjektivitas dan keterbatasan dalam pengolahan data mustahik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang dapat membantu Baitul Mal dalam menentukan prioritas penerima zakat secara objektif dan terstruktur. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan keputusan adalah Weighted Sum Model (WSM), di mana setiap kriteria diberi bobot sesuai tingkat kepentingannya, kemudian dihitung nilai preferensi untuk setiap calon penerima zakat. Sistem dikembangkan berbasis web agar mudah diakses oleh petugas. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan User Acceptance Testing (UAT) dengan melibatkan Admin Baitul Mal sebagai pengguna langsung sistem. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, diperoleh nilai rata-rata penilaian lebih dari 4 (skala 1–5) yang menunjukkan bahwa sistem dinilai mudah digunakan, sesuai kebutuhan, serta membantu proses penentuan prioritas penerima zakat. Dengan demikian, sistem yang dibangun dapat menjadi alat bantu yang efektif bagi Baitul Mal dalam meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi penyaluran zakat kepada mustahik yang berhak menerima. Abstract

Pelayanan publik bagi penyandang disabilitas di Dinas Sosial Kota Lhokseumawe saat ini masih menghadapi kendala administratif akibat proses pengajuan bantuan yang dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini menimbulkan risiko kerusakan dokumen fisik dan ketidakefisienan waktu dalam proses verifikasi data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi pengajuan bantuan berbasis web yang dapat memudahkan akses masyarakat serta mempercepat kinerja instansi. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah Waterfall, yang meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementasi dengan framework Laravel dan basis data MySQL, serta pengujian sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi ini mampu mengelola data pengajuan secara terpusat, menyediakan fitur unggah dokumen digital, dan memungkinkan pemantauan status pengajuan secara transparan. Berdasarkan pengujian Black Box, seluruh fungsi sistem berjalan dengan baik dan layak digunakan untuk mendukung digitalisasi pelayanan rehabilitasi sosial pada Dinas Sosial Kota Lhokseumawe. Abstract

Perancangan dan implementasi sistem informasi absensi karyawan K3 berbasis website sebagai solusi pengganti metode manual melalui WhatsApp di PT PLN (Persero) ULP Tebing Tinggi. Sistem lama memiliki kelemahan seperti format tidak terstruktur, potensi manipulasi data, dan rekapitulasi manual. Sebagai bentuk digitalisasi administrasi, dikembangkan sistem berbasis PHP dan MySQL dengan fitur login, pengisian absensi, unggah foto, pencatatan waktu otomatis, dan manajemen data oleh admin. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi, akurasi, dan transparansi pencatatan, serta kemudahan bagi admin.

Abstract

Determining strategic warehouse locations is complex because it involves various criteria that are often conflicting, such as cost, ease of access, capacity, and operational risk. This study aims to evaluate a robust model in a Decision Support System (DSS) for warehouse selection using a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach. The applied methodology combines several MCDM techniques, namely the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the criteria weights and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to rank alternatives. In addition, a sensitivity analysis is used to test the level of stability and resilience of the model to changes in criteria weights. The results show that the developed model is able to produce stable and responsive recommendations to variations in decision parameters. The sensitivity analysis also reveals that several criteria have a significant influence on the final result, thus requiring more attention in the weighting process.

Abstract

Pangkalan Susu Steam Power Plant does not yet have a structured official publication platform, causing information dissemination to depend mainly on social media and making news archives difficult to organize and retrieve regularly. This condition highlights the need for a web-based information system that supports more professional content management. This study aims to design and develop a news website and Content Management System (CMS) by applying a Research and Development (R&D) approach and three-tier architecture, which separates the presentation layer, application logic layer, and data layer. The development process consists of requirements analysis, system architecture and database design, implementation, and functional testing. The system was implemented using Laravel as the application framework, Blade for the user interface, Filament as the administration panel, and MySQL as the database management system. Functional testing was conducted using the black-box method on 14 main scenarios, including the management of news, categories, authors, banners, and logout features. The results show a 100% success rate, indicating that all tested functions operated according to the expected outcomes without functional errors. The proposed architecture produces a modular, scalable, and maintainable system that can support the future development of the official information platform of Pangkalan Susu Steam Power Plant.
