Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency of legal protection for Muslim consumers in Indonesia through halal certification, in line with the enactment of Law Number 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance (UU JPH). The main objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of the UU JPH in halal certification practices and evaluate its effectiveness from the perspective of maqashid syariah. This research employs a normative juridical method using statute, conceptual, and maqashid-based approaches, and utilizes primary, secondary, and tertiary legal data, analyzed descriptively and analytically using content analysis techniques. The findings show that the implementation of the UU JPH is a strategic step in providing legal certainty regarding the halal status of products circulating in Indonesia. However, its execution still faces challenges, such as the low preparedness of small business actors and the limited number of halal auditors. Institutional strengthening and public education are needed to ensure more effective and equitable halal certification. Furthermore, this study affirms that the obligation of halal certification serves as a form of protection for the constitutional rights of Muslim consumers, guaranteed by national law and reinforced by administrative and criminal sanctions for violators. From the perspective of maqashid syariah, halal certification not only functions as a formal legal mechanism but also serves as an instrument to safeguard the fundamental values of human life. It ensures product compliance with sharia principles, preserves faith, health, and community welfare, and prevents moral and economic harm.

Abstract

Discount voucher-based promotion is a key marketing strategy at Burger King Emerald to increase sales volume. However, implementation in the field faces challenges in the form of indications of unnatural transactions that have the potential to harm the company. The current detection process is still carried out manually using spreadsheets and subjective observation, making it inefficient and carrying a high risk of human error. This study aims to build a web-based decision support system capable of detecting anomalies in voucher transactionsautomatically and accurately. The method applied is data mining with a Combined Model using Decision Tree and K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithms. The system development was carried out using the Python programming language with the Flask framework and MySQL database. Based on the test results on 241 sales transaction data in September, the system was able to classify transactions with an accuracy rate of 82.9%. Of the total test data, the system successfully identified 69 transactions (28.6%) as anomalies with the main pattern being disproportionate discount values relative to the total order. Black Box functional test results indicate that all system features are running well. The implementation of this system is expected to assist Burger King Emerald management in minimizing financial losses through faster and more objective early detection of voucher abuse. Abstract

This article elaborates dominant discourse in contemporary international relations study which is especially focus on how consumerism as ideology and the machine of capitalism operate until become Western cultural hegemony to the developing countries. By using Antonio Gramsci’s perspective, this research is on qualitative approach with literature study method. The argument built in this research is that society and culture will always change with the influences that exist in the world today. These changes can be happen in a fast or slow time. On a large or small scale in everyday life, so that people are unconsciously in a circle of domination and hegemony. However, this research is not a comparative study between different time periods, but a study of the identification of influences that play an important role in transforming and shaping cultural aspects and the people way of life in the majority of developing countries. Therefore this research aims to describe and dismantle consumerism as a Western cultural hegemony in influencing the culture of society and reflect social reality in the post-industrial era and neoliberal globalization.

Abstract

The development of geopolymer membranes from industrial by-products offers a sustainable approach for water purification. In this study, ZnO/geopolymer membranes were prepared from coal fly ash, with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) used as a pore-forming agent to regulate porosity and surface wettability. The influence of H2O2 concentration (0-6 wt%) on membrane physicochemical properties was systematically evaluated. FTIR analysis confirmed the formation of sodium aluminosilicate hydrate (N-A-S-H) gel and the incorporation of ZnO through the presence of Si-O-Zn and Zn-O bands. SEM images showed that increasing H2O2 concentration changed the initially dense structure into a rougher and more porous surface due to oxygen bubble generation during curing. ZnO addition enhanced surface roughness and functionality, while H2O2 improved pore connectivity. The water contact angle decreased from 21.63° in the pristine geopolymer to below 15° in the membrane with 6 wt% H2O2, indicating greater hydrophilicity. Porosity also increased from about 10% to 50%. These results demonstrate that ZnO incorporation combined with controlled H2O2 addition effectively tailors membrane wettability and pore structure, making the composite promising for sustainable water filtration.

Abstract

This study synthesizes evidence on digital learning management mechanisms that support student learning outcomes and develops a quality-oriented implementation framework. An integrative literature review was conducted using empirical studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, policy reports, and official documents relevant to digital learning governance. Sources were selected according to relevance, publisher credibility, methodological transparency, verifiable metadata, and contribution to the review questions. Thematic analysis generated six dimensions: needs and readiness diagnosis; leadership, policy, and resource allocation; teacher competence and professional support; digital pedagogical design; implementation, interaction, and feedback; and monitoring, equity, safety, and continuous improvement. The findings indicate that digital technology does not automatically improve learning outcomes. Its contribution depends on goal alignment, active learning design, teacher-student interaction, timely feedback, teachers’ digital-pedagogical competence, sustainable infrastructure, and equitable access. Learning management systems, interactive multimedia, digital assessment, and gamification can strengthen flexibility, engagement, self-regulation, and academic achievement when governed as components of a learning system rather than as isolated tools. The study proposes a Quality-Oriented Digital Learning Management Framework linking organizational capacity, teacher practice, student experience, and learning outcomes through recurring cycles of diagnosis, action, evaluation, and improvement.
