Abstract

Perairan kepulauan Anambas terletak di Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan Laut Cina Selatan yang memiliki sumberdaya perairan pelagis dan demersal banyak, diantaranya adalah cumi-cumi. Desa Air Bini adalah sentra industri cumi kering di kabupaten Anambas. Pemanfaatan dan peningkatan nilai tambah komoditas ini di desa Air Bini masih terbatas pada pengolahan cumi asin kering. Produk ini utamanya dipasarkan dalam bentuk utuh ke Tanjung Pinang, Batam dan Jakarta. Cumi kering adalah produk yang dapat didiversifikasi menjadi nugget. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan pembuatan nugget cumi kepada ibu-ibu pengusaha dan pengolah cumi asin dan penilaian kelayakan usahanya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di UKM Nadine Desa Air Bini, Kecamatan Siantan Selatan, Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas, Kepulauan Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah participatory rural appraisal (PRA). Data kegiatan didapat melalui observasi, wawancara, partisipasi aktif dan dokumentasi dalam proses pembuatan nugget cumi. Pengambilan data dimulai dari proses pengadaan bahan baku sampai pada produk akhir yang dihasilkan. Analisa usaha yang dianalisis terdiri dari biaya produksi, keuntungan, BEP, dan analisa R/C ratio. Tahapan pembuatan nugget cumi meliputi persiapan bahan baku, persiapan bahan tambahan, penggilingan cumi kering asin dengan bahan tambahan, pembuatan adonan, pengukusan, battering, breading dan penggorengan. Hasil analisis usaha menunjukkan bahwa usaha nugget cumi dalam setahun membutuhkan biaya total Rp 159.144.620,-, dengan keuntungan sebesar Rp 43.655.380,-, dan nilai pulang balik tiap kemasan sebesar Rp 7.136 atau terjual sebanyak 4.894 kemasan dan memiliki nilai R/C ratio 1,27.

Abstract

Oxidative stress occured in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. The ability of Sargassum echinocarpum to ameliorate the oxidative stress after treatment with streptozotocin was investigated in rats. Adult male rats were intraperitoneally injected with 45 mg/kg of streptozotocin to produce experimental oxidative stress characteristic of diabetes mellitus. Hyperglycemia was observed in blood serum after 10 days of streptozotocin treatment. There were a significant decrease in the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxide (GPx) and a significant increase in the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the serum of diabetic rats. It indicated that there were an increasing lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress in the diabetic rats. Providing S. echinocarpum extract for 90 days on diabetic rats significantly improved the oxidative stress evidenced by a decreasing of MDA serum level and an increasing SOD, CAT and GPx activities than streptozotocin-treated rats. These results showed that the extract might improve the clinical manifestation of diabetes mellitus and decrease the oxidative stress in the diabetic rats. This effects appear to be due to its antioxidant properties.

Abstract

The potential area of Lombok seaweed cultivation is 5490 Ha. The area utilized is 2039.63 Ha. The purpose of this paper is to review the diversity, cultivation activities, production and potential of seaweed to be developed, specifically focusing on aspects of cultivation and production on the island of Lombok, Indonesia. Macroalgae that have been cultivated on Lombok are Kappaphycus alvarezii morphotype brown and green and Gracilaria verucosa. The decline and the amount of uncertainty in production were caused by several problems in seaweed cultivation, weather changes, limited capital for production and decreased quality of seaweed seeds. The species that have the potential to be developed are Sargassum aquifolium, Caulerpa sp., Ulva sp., Eucheuma spinosum, and Gelidium sp. Development Locations are located throughout the waters in the shape of a bay and are by the stipulated water utilization spatial plan. Developing seaweed aqua tourism and institutional arrangements related to seaweed production is necessary.

Abstract

Kappaphycus alvarezii is used in industry as a food ingredient, a source of hydrocolloids, cosmetics, food additives, animal feed, fertilizers, biofuels, and medicinal ingredients. K.alvarezii is cultivated in several areas in Indonesia, including on the island of Lombok. The production of K.alvarezii is related to its growth and it is related to its phytohormones. K.alvarezii cultivated in Lombok is currently not known for its composition and amount of phytohormones. The content of phytohormones at different planting ages is of course different. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of phytohormones in seaweed K. alvarezii at different planting ages. This study was conducted in Ekas Bay, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat from June to December 2020. The study used experimental methods and descriptive data analysis. The results of this study explain that currently cultivated K. alvarezii contains cytokinins, auxins, and gibberellins. Cytokinins obtained on the 9th day of planting were 11.62 ppm and increased on the 18th day to 12.34 ppm. At the next planting age, it continued to decrease on the 27th day to 11.43 ppm, and at harvest time, the 45th day of 10.69 ppm. Auxin detected in the seeds used was 644.93 ppm, on the 27th day of 14.27 ppm, and on the 36th day of 1078.25 ppm. Giberilin was detected on the 9th day at 0.49 ppm. This study concluded that K. alvarezii at different planting ages had different phytohormones content

Abstract

Microalgae is a promising and innovative biological resource. Indonesia has the potential for the development of microalgae production. One of the microalgae that have high economic value is Arthrospira platensis. In the production of microalgae, the development of suitable media and environmental conditions need to be factors that must be considered. This study aimed to analyze the effect of different nitrogen sources and nitrogen doses and their interaction on the growth of microalgae Arthrospira platensis cultured in fresh water. In addition, analyzing the water quality of Arthrospira platensis culture media. This study used an experimental method of Completely Randomized Factorial Design) with two factors. The first factor is the nitrogen source (Sodium nitrate, Potassium nitrate, and Calcium nitrate). The second factor is the dose of nitrogen source (2 g/l.2.5 g/l.3 g/l). The main parameter observed was microalgae growth, while the supporting parameter was the water quality which affected the growth of Arthrospira platensis. The highest density results were found in the provision of a nitrogen source of Ca(NO3)2 3 g/l, which was 370,000 cells/ml. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the type of nitrogen source, the dose, and the interaction between the two affected the specific growth rate of Arthrospira platensis. The environmental conditions during culture ranged from 20.2°C-26.2°C, pH values ​​8.95 – 10.18, and dissolved oxygen 9.17 – 9.77 mg/L.

Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is a health disorder in which cholesterol in the blood increases beyond normal limits. This disorder chronically can cause atherosclerosis. Sargassum aquifolium contains bioactive that can prevent an increase in blood cholesterol levels. This study aimed to prevent the increasing cholesterol levels and changes in the blood vessel profile of rats fed an atherogenic diet by S. aquifolium extract. S. aquifolium was obtained from Ekas Bay. Rattus norvegicus 2-3 months ages used in this study. Normal rats were fed an atherogenic diet for four months to produce an animal hypercholesterolemia model. The phytochemical profile was screened based on the Harborne method. Identity of bioactive determined by HPLC-HRMS. The parameters observed were cholesterol levels and blood vessel profiles. The juice of S. aquifolium contained steroids, saponins and tannins and their bioactive showed anticholesterolemic. Rats given an atherogenic diet had increased cholesterol levels. Administration S. aquifolium juice twice a day can reduce cholesterol levels and prevent the thickening of the aorta and arteries. In conclusion, S. aquifolium juice contains bioactive compounds and administration of S. aquifolium juice twice a day prevents an increase in cholesterol and damage to the aortic and arterial profiles.

Abstract

Kappaphycus alvarezii adalah alga merah yang memiliki kandungan karaginan. Pemutusan tali pengikat K. alvarezii dengan cara menarik saat pemanenan mengakibatkan talus patah. Talus yang patah akan mengeluarkan getah berkandungan karaginan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan karakteristik karaginan K. alvarezii berdasar keutuhan talus yang dipanen. Talus utuh, patah dan campuran K. alvarezii diperoleh saat pelepasan rumput laut dari tali pengikat. Tahapan ekstraksi karaginan meliputi penimbangan, ekstraksi, netralisasi, perebusan, filtrasi, penjendalan, penirisan, netralisasi, pengeringan, dan penepungan. Karakteristik karaginan ditentukan berdasar kadar air, abu, abu tidak larut asam, sulfat, viskositas, kekuatan gel, dan spektrum infra merah. Analisis komponen utama pada spektra infra merah digunakan untuk membedakan karaktersitik karaginan talus. Hasil menunjukkan rendemen karaginan dari talus utuh lebih banyak dibanding patah atau campuran keduanya. Karakteristik karaginan dari ketiga talus masih memenuhi standar karaginan, yaitu: kadar air 9,91-10,87%, kadar abu 25,22-27,97%, kadar abu tidak larut asam 0,42-0,87%, kadar sulfat 19,91-24,24%, viskositas 47,11- 56,76 cP, dan kekuatan gel 376,62-457,92 g/cm². Gugus fungsional karaginan dari ketiga talus tersebut menunjukkan gugus fungsional penciri kappa karaginan yaitu ester sulfat, 3,6-anhidrogalaktosa dan galaktosa-4-sulfat. Berdasarkan analisis komponen utama spektra infra merah, talus utuh berbeda dengan talus patah atau campuran talus utuh dan patah. Kesimpulan menunjukkan karakteristik talus utuh berbeda dari talus patah atau campuran talus patah dan utuh. AbstractKappaphycus alvarezii is a red alga containing carrageenan. Termination of the K. alvarezii binding rope by pulling during harvesting resulted in a broken thallus. A broken thallus will release sap containing carrageenan. This study aims to obtain the characteristics of K. alvarezii carrageenan based on the integrity of the thallus harvested. Whole, broken and mixed thallus of K. alvarezii were obtained when the seaweed was released from the strings. The stages of carrageenan extraction include weighing, extraction, neutralization, boiling, filtration, coagulation, draining, neutralization, drying and flouring. Characteristics of carrageenan are determined based on water content, ash, acid-insoluble ash, sulphate, viscosity, gel strength, and infrared spectrum. Principal component analysis in infrared spectra was used to distinguish the characteristics of thallus carrageenan. The results showed that carrageenan yield from intact thallus was higher than broken or a mixture of both. The carrageenan characteristics of the three thalli still met carrageenan standards, namely: water content 9.91-10.87%, ash content 25.22-27.97%, acid insoluble ash content 0.42-0.87%, sulphate content 19.91-24.24%, viscosity 47.11-56.76cP, and gel strength 376.62-457.92 g/cm². The carrageenan functional groups of the three thalli showed the functional groups that characterize kappa carrageenan, namely sulphate esters, 3,6-anhydrogalactose, and galactose-4-sulphate. Based on the analysis of the principal component of the infrared spectra, an intact thallus is different from a broken thallus or a mixture of the intact and broken thallus. The conclusion shows that the characteristics of the intact thallus are different from a broken thallus or a mixture of the broken and intact thallus.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah Malang Orphanage (PAMMA) is one of the Da'wah movements of Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Munkar in the municipality of Malang, in the social sector, through alleviating education and empowering school-aged orphans. One of the empowerment programs is to provide life skills to foster children. PAMMA has land that can be used for fruit and vegetable cultivation, chicken, and fish. However, the cultivation of chicken and fish requires the availability of expensive commercial feed. Maggot is a black fly caterpillar rich in nutrients and protein and can be used as a substitute for chicken and fish feed. The purpose of this activity is training for foster children and orphanage caregivers to cultivate maggots, and the results are used as an alternative to chicken and fish feed. The method of this service activity is in the form of training, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of activities. Maggot cultivation training at the Integrated Waste Disposal Site, Tumpang, Malang district. Maggot cultivation practices are carried out on PAMMA land. Several foster children and orphanages had received training and practiced maggot cultivation. Under caregivers' guidance, foster children have successfully cultivated maggots independently at PAMMA by utilizing organic waste obtained from the scope of the orphanage. Cultivated caterpillars have been used as a substitute for commercial chicken and fish feed. The conclusion is the training on maggot production has been carried out and mastered by the PAMMA brothers and caregivers, and the production has been used as feed for chicken and fish cultivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran bermuatan karakter pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Pengkadan yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model menurut Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi 7 langkah yaitu (1) potensi dan masalah (2) pengumpulan data (3) desain produk (4) validasi desain (5) revisi desain (6) uji coba produk (7) revisi produk. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi, angket dan posttest. Angket digunakan untuk validasi ahli, respon guru dan siswa, dan soal posttest. Penelitian ini menghasilkan video pembelajaran dengan tingkat kevalidan sebesar 84,62 %  dengan kriteria sangat valid, hasil angket respon guru dan siswa dengan rata-rata sebesar 87,84 % dengan kriteria sangat praktis dan hasil pengerjaan posttest siswa sebesar 75 % dengan kriteria efektif

Abstract

Kurikulum adalah kebijakan penting dalam dunia pendidikan yang bertujuan mengatur proses pendidikan guna mencapai tujuan, sasaran, dan cita-cita pendidikan. Perubahan kurikulum di Indonesia telah terjadi sekitar sebelas kali sejak kemerdekaan, yang terbaru adalah Kurikulum Merdeka yang diluncurkan pada Februari 2022 oleh Kemendikbudristek. Kurikulum ini dirancang untuk memberikan kebebasan kepada sekolah dalam mengembangkan potensinya sesuai dengan sumber daya yang dimiliki dan memberikan kenyamanan dalam pembelajaran. Namun terdapat berbagai tantangan dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka, terutama ketidaksiapan guru dalam memahami dan menerapkan kurikulum ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur kesiapan guru PENJAS dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka di tingkat sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Pandeglang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka bervariasi, dengan sebagian besar berada pada kategori sedang dengan kesiapan presentase 44%. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesiapan guru meliputi pemahaman terhadap kurikulum, penyusunan perangkat lunak, pengadaan fasilitas pendukung, dan penguasaan teknologi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru untuk mempersiapkan diri lebih baik dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka.
