Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of liquidity on BEP and ROE in Indonesian banking industry. The supporting theory in this study is ALMA theory. Based on annual data for the period 2001-2014 and following purposive sampling technique, the acquired amount of sample study is 97 banks. The data is analyzed using panel data regression of GMM Arrelano Bond, as a novelty in data processing, therefore the speed of adjustment can be known. The ALMA variables such as LAR, capital, leverage, operating expenses, interest income, and CAR sensitivity have a significant effect on BEP and ROE. Meanwhile LDR, NPL, the FBI have no impact on profitability. The implication of this study is the fact that banking performance in Indonesia can be leveled up through the reduction in mortgage interest rates and increment of credit volume and FBI.

Abstract

Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is a chronic autoimmune skin disease that manifests as loose vesicles and bullae that affect the mucosa and skin. The first-line therapy for PV is systemic corticosteroids. Although corticosteroid therapy is effective as treatment for pemphigus vulgaris, long-term use of corticosteroids causes various complications such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Objectives to examine the relationship of pemphigus vulgaris with diabetes mellitus and hypertension. This study is a retrospective analytic study with a cross sectional approach with a sample size of sixteen people with pemphigus vulgaris. This research was conducted in March – August 2022 at Dr. M. Djamil Hospital in Padang. Relationship analysis is performed using Fisher's exact test by comparing the incidence of diabetes mellitus and hypertension in patients with pemphigus vulgaris with patients with other autoimmune bullous diseases. There is no significant relationship between pemphigus vulgaris and diabetes mellitus (p = 0.133) and hypertension (p = 0.253). The profile of patients with pemphigus vulgaris is also obtained: the annual incidence of PV is 3.2 cases/year; the majority of PV patients are women, with a female to male ratio of 1:0,78; the majority of PV patients are in the 40-60 year age group; the occupation of the most PV patients is housewives; and the majority of clinical manifestations of patients with PV are found on the skin and mucous membranes. There is no significant relationship between pemphigus vulgaris with diabetes mellitus and hypertension.

Abstract

This investigation seeks to scrutinize the part played by Sriwijaya Radio in safeguarding indigenous knowledge by utilizing regional languages specific to South Sumatra. With the looming possibility of local languages dying out because Indonesian and foreign languages are so widespread, along with increased urbanization, and shifts in contemporary ways of living, Sriwijaya Radio has become a leading community media outlet that has always used the Palembang language in the programs it broadcasts ever since it was founded on July 13, 2002. A descriptive qualitative method is used in this study, and information is gathered through detailed conversations, observations, and records involving radio managers, broadcasters, program managers, and devoted Sriwijaya Radio listeners at its location on Jalan Seduduk Putih 1, Number 41A, 8 Ilir, Palembang, all of which took place on November 19, 2025. The study's conclusions show that Sriwijaya Radio is very important as a community media platform for protecting regional languages, and it does this through a number of tactics: (1) the consistent use of Palembang language, which includes the unique greeting "Mang Cek & Bik Cek" and the slogan "Sikok-Sikoknyo Radio Palembang," both of which help to create strong emotional connections with listeners; (2) a complete plan for protecting local knowledge through broadcast programs that are based on the cultural values and traditions of Palembang; (3) adapting to digital technology so that it can reach more people without losing its traditional identity; (4) giving the community the power to participate in making content, which results in a preservation environment that can last for a long time. The study's outcomes demonstrate that community-based media outlets, for example, Sriwijaya Radio, serve a significant purpose in revitalizing local dialects. They act not solely as avenues for information and amusement, but also as a means of protecting shared cultural identity during this period of globalization. This investigation enriches the theoretical understanding of community media principles and language conservation. Moreover, it delivers a functional blueprint for similar community media platforms throughout Indonesia as they navigate the difficulties presented by 25 endangered and 11 lost languages, out of the 718 local languages present within the nation.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the influence of teacher communication skills on junior high school students’ mathematical conceptual understanding and creativity in classroom learning. Method: A quantitative explanatory research design was employed. The participants consisted of 34 junior high school students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a teacher communication questionnaire, a mathematical conceptual understanding test, and a mathematical creativity test, supported by structured classroom observations to capture communication practices during instruction. All instruments were validated by experts and demonstrated acceptable reliability. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, preceded by tests of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity to ensure the appropriateness of the regression model. Findings: The findings indicate that teacher communication has a significant effect on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding (t = 4.42, p < 0.001, R² = 0.364) and mathematical creativity (t = 3.54, p = 0.001, R² = 0.299). Students showed better conceptual comprehension when teachers provided clear, step-by-step explanations, used visual representations, and facilitated open dialogue. Mathematical creativity increased when students were encouraged to explore multiple solution strategies in a supportive communicative environment. Significance: This study highlights teacher communication as a key instructional factor influencing both conceptual understanding and creativity in mathematics learning. The findings suggest that strengthening teachers’ communication skills can enhance learning quality and support the development of meaningful and creative mathematical thinking in junior high school classrooms.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of internship experience and career guidance on job readiness of Vocational High School (SMK) students in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Muara Bungo. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research with a comparative causal approach (Expost Facto). Data collection was done through indirect communication techniques, direct communication techniques, and documentary studies, using instruments in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The population of this study were all XII grade students at SMK N 1 Muara Bungo. The sampling technique used was Propotional Random Sampling. Data analysis was carried out with the following steps: (1) descriptive analysis; (2) prerequisite test analysis includes normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test; (3) hypothesis testing through simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that internship experience has an influence of 45.5% on the work readiness of vocational students in the field of ICT in Muara Bungo. Furthermore, career guidance has an influence of 35.5% on the work readiness of the same students. Furthermore, the results show that pre-service learning experience and career guidance together have an influence of 54.9% on the work readiness of vocational students in the field of ICT in Muara Bungo.
