Abstract

This research aimed to (1) ascertain the context, (2) describe the quality inputs, (3) investigate the process, and (4) examine the product. This research is evaluation research employing the CIPP model by Stufflebeam (2007). The data were collected through classroom observation, interviews, and documentation. The result shows that the context contributes to the product because the vision and mission indicated how the implementation of the teaching of Tamansiswa especially 2 Ings and Tut implicitly. Quality of input does not contribute to the product, because the data shows insufficiency of available facilities, hence requiring the provision of more facilities, and the English teacher should have a good enough background in English education and Ketamansiswaan. The process shows that the English teacher applied “Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani” well but the teacher had missed applying Problem-Based Learning in the 2006 curriculum, which means that the process contributes to the product. The product of the English teaching in implementing “Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani” does not produce satisfactory quality outcomes in the form of students’ participation in English competitions and students cannot speak English fluently, even in class conversations. The researcher concludes that the implementation of “Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani” in English Language Teaching for second grade of SMA Taman Madya Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta still opens to improvement for a better outcome.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between profitability and firm value with corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a mediating variable. Using purposive sampling, 116 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2022-2023 were selected as research samples based on the availability of sustainability reports and annual reports. This study employs multiple linear regression analysis to test the relationships among variables and uses the Sobel test to examine the mediating effect of CSR between independent and dependent variables. The results show that profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value, CSR has a positive and significant effect on firm value, profitability has a positive and significant effect on CSR, and CSR mediates the relationship between profitability and firm value. In conclusion, although CSR plays a positive mediating role in enhancing firm value, companies need to develop a more serious commitment to CSR implementation to increase public trust and send positive signals to stakeholders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode bernyanyi dalam stimulasi kemampuan berbicara anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Santa Lusia Nyarumkop, Singkawang Timur. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana metode bernyanyi membantu anak mendengarkan, membedakan, dan mengucapkan bunyi tertentu, berkomunikasi secara lisan dengan teman sebaya, serta memperkaya kosa kata. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode lapangan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan guru. Teknik pengolahan data ialah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bernyanyi yang disesuaikan dengan tema pembelajaran, seperti binatang dan buah-buahan, efektif meningkatkan artikulasi, kemampuan komunikasi, dan pengayaan kosa kata anak. Pengulangan lirik lagu yang relevan membantu memperkuat kosa kata dan meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk mendukung perkembangan bahasa pada pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

Pemanasan Global sudah terjadi sejak dahulu lamanya dan menjadikan isu yang serius bagi global. Peningkatan suhu bumi yang terjadi secara terus menerus ini karena faktor utama yang berperan dalam pemanasan global, yaitu peningkatan emisi gas rumah kaca dan konsumsi energiyang berlebihan.Pemanasan global telah mempengaruhi seluruh sektor yang ada dan telah menjadi wacana utama di kancah Internasional pada saat ini. Sumber terbesar terjadinya pemanasan global adalah meningkatnya emisi karbon dioksida (CO2) di atmosfer yang merupakan sisa produksi terbesar aktivitas manusia. Fokus permasalahan penelitian ini adalah pesan tentang pemanasan global yaitu akibat yang ditimbulkan pemanasan global di berbagai belahan dunia dalam sektor perubahan musim atau suhu, kenaikan air laut, sektor kehutanan, sektor kesehatan dan sektor perikanan, maka akan mengakibatkan kelembaban yang terjadi pada musim kemarau maka dari itu CoolRoof merupakan lapisan cat yang diaplikasikan pada atap dengan tujuan memantulkan panas matahari sehingga permukaan atap dan area atau ruang yang ada di bawahnya tetap dingin. Merefleksikan sebagian besar panas matahari mengurangi perbedaan suhu di atap antara siang dan malam. Ini penting bagi bangunan tanpa pendinginan buatan di iklim tropis panas lembab yang memiliki suhu maksimum harian di atas 30°C, Untuk bangunan dengan pendingin buatan akan mengalami penurunan penggunaan energi dan meningkatkan kenyamanan termal.Begitu pula dengan penggunaan Cat Reflektif Surya dengan label  BeCool pada atap warung makan (Burjo Rafa) di kawasan Universitas PGRI Semarang, diharapkan mampu menurunkan suhu ruang, sehingga dapat mengurangi efek pemanasan global di Kawasan warung makan tersebut.

Abstract

The Pancasila student profile as part of the independent curriculum is one of the government’s efforts to spread the values and practices of Pancasila in all learning domains, both in the teaching and learning process and in the textbooks used and recently approved by the government. The purpose of this study was to enhance public consciousness, particularly among education policymakers, teachers, and students, regarding the crucial role of textbooks in upholding Pancasila values and equipping students with the necessary wisdom to navigate the future in alignment with the values imparted through textbooks. This research specifically examines the values of Pancasila, namely 1) faith, devotion to God almighty, and noble morals, 2) independence, 3) Gotong Royong, 4) global diversity, 5) critical reasoning, and 6) creativity, in accordance with Minister of Education and Culture regulation Number 22 of 2020 concerning the Strategic plan of the Ministry of Education and Culture for 2020-2024. Efforts to maintain The Pancasila values contained in English for Nusantara textbook published by The Ministry of Education and Culture for Grade 7th Junior School students. The research employs the English for Nusantara Textbook for 7th grade Junior High School as the instrument. The critical discourse analysis approach is utilized to examine the ideological values conveyed in the textbook’s messages, both explicitly and implicitly, within their respective contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the activities of implementing local wisdom in Arts and Culture learning at SMPN 1 Sukadana and to describe how local wisdom is applied by Arts and Culture teachers at SMPN 1 Sukadana. The method used is descriptive qualitative, which describes research data in words. The data source consists of informants, namely arts and culture teachers at SMPN 1 Sukadana who were interviewed, observed and carried out documentation techniques to determine the depth of data needs. Validity testing uses triangulation with data analysis in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the implementation of local wisdom values ​​in dance learning at SMPN 1 Sukadana is highlighting the Jepin Senggayong dance into the learning process, students learn dance with teachers and informants they get outside the school environment. The teacher develops his own learning that is linked to the traditions and cultural results of the Malay community in North Kayong Regency through the Project Assignment learning method where students look for information related to the Jepin Senggayong dance from their area to be practiced in front of the class in groups. The teacher also provides PPTs and videos about the form. -a form of local wisdom in North Kayong. The appreciation shown by students is that they can interpret and appreciate the Jepin Senggayong dance which originates from their area, namely North Kayong Regency and can minimize students' boredom with a monotonous learning system.

Abstract

Debulking thyroidectomy pada pasien usia lanjut dengan komorbiditas seperti PPOK dan hipertensi memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap komplikasi anestesi umum. Teknik anestesi regional, seperti anestesi spinal segmental toraks, telah mendapatkan popularitas karena potensinya untuk mengurangi risiko-risiko yang terkait. Pada laporan kasus ini, Seorang pria usia 71 tahun dengan keluhan benjolan dileher dan memiliki Riwayat PPOK, dan hipertensi kronis dijadwalkan menjalani debulking thyroidectomy. Anestesi spinal torakal dilakukan engan melakukan blok subarachnoid yang dilakukan pada vertebrae thoracal setinggi T2-T3 menggunakan jarum spinocan 25G. Setelah menembus ligamentum flavum, stilet dikeluarkan sambil menggerakkan jarum sampai terdapat backflow dari cairan serebrospinal. Kemudian, diberikan 1ml bupivacaine hypobaric 0.5% serta fentanyl 20mcg. Pada saat dilakukan insisi tidak terjadi adanya gejolak hemodinamik yang berarti. Pasien dipindahkan ke ruang pemulihan dalam keadaan stabil. Pada kunjungan 1 hari post-operasi di ruang perawatan didapatkan keadaan pasien stabil. Anestesi spinal torakal dapat menjadi pilihan anestesi yang aman dan efektif pada pasien usia lanjut dengan PPOK dan hipertensi yang menjalani debulking thyroidectomy. Pendekatan ini membantu mengurangi risiko komplikasi respiratorik yang umum dijumpai pada anestesi umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keamanan dan efektivitas penggunaan TSA sebagai alternatif teknik anestesi pada tindakan debulking thyroidectomy pada pasien usia lanjut dengan komorbid PPOK dan hipertensi, guna meminimalkan risiko komplikasi perioperatif yang berhubungan dengan anestesi umum.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate the types and reasons for code-switching among EFL students during classroom interactions. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the study analyzed classroom interactions among eleven fifth-semester students that had been selected using purposive sampling method at a Private University in Jember. Data collection tools for this research included observation and interview. After being collected, the data then were analyzed by using the framework of Miles and Huberman (1994). The study revealed three types of code-switching: tag switching, intra-sentential switching, and inter-sentential switching. The primary reasons for code-switching included enhancing mutual understanding, ensuring effective communication, expressing emotions and opinions accurately, navigating linguistic identities, and showing respect and solidarity. The findings reveal distinct patterns of code-switching among participants: tag-switching involves inserting tags at the end of an utterance; intra-sentential switching occurs within a sentence, at its beginning, middle, or end; and inter-sentential switching involves switching languages between sentences. There are several reasons why students engage in code-switching. These include difficulties in using English fluently, switching languages out of respect and to show solidarity as students, and to better express their emotions and opinions. Future studies should consider larger and more diverse samples, multiple institutions, and a balanced exploration of both positive and negative aspects of code switching in academic settings.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and understand the process of internalizing the values of Islamic teachings in forming students with Siddiq, Amanah, Tablig, and Fatonah characters. This research is a qualitative descriptive case study type research. The case study in this research is in-depth research about an individual, a group, an organization, an activity program, and so on at a specific time. This type of descriptive research aims to explore and describe social reality, describing many variables related to the problem and unit being studied. This research was conducted at the institution at MA Miftahul Ulum Pakuniran Probolinggo. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Miles and Huberman data analysis model with stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the research conducted show that the application of internalizing the values of Islamic teachings forms students with Siddiq, Amanah, Tablig, and Fatonah characters, including (1) Transformation of Islamic teaching values in forming students with the four characteristics of the prophet at MA Miftahul Ulum Pakuniran. The transformation stage is carried out by distributing material by PAI teachers. (2) Transaction of Islamic teaching values in forming students with the four characteristics of the prophet at MA Miftahul Ulum Pakuniran. In the transaction stage, the teacher discusses the material with students in the classroom. (3) Transinternalization of Islamic teaching values in forming students with the four characteristics of the prophet at MA Miftahul Ulum Pakuniran. The teacher's transinternalization stage provides examples, familiarizes with, implements, and forms student character student activities in daily life in the school environment.

Abstract

This study examines how multicultural values are portrayed in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) textbook used in Indonesian middle schools (SMP/MTS) for seventh-grade students. The research utilizes a critical discourse analysis to portray multiculturalism values, including race/ethnicity, gender, social class, and people with disabilities. The data were collected visually and textually through Language Visual Grammar Theory and Appraisal Theory respectively. The analysis shows how these four aspects of multiculturalism are woven into contemporary topics through both visual and textual representations. The findings reveal that the EFL textbook successfully incorporates all four multicultural values, yet the visual and the textual representations are imbalanced. The study concludes that EFL textbooks that present multicultural content according to these parameters serve a vital function in developing students' inclusive mindsets toward cultural differences and fostering appreciation for Indonesia's cultural diversity. The research also suggests that EFL textbooks would benefit from including more international multicultural content, as exposing students to diverse global cultures and perspectives can enhance their worldview and cross-cultural understanding.
