Abstract

When religious diversity in society is not addressed wisely, it becomes a source of inter-religious conflict. The misalignment between the hope to live in harmony with the reality that occurs in society encourages an urgency to internalize values and activities to create harmony in society. So this research aims to further analyze the inter-religious interaction in the Kampung Toleransi community as a form of internalization of harmony. This research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. This research reveals that the inter-religious interaction built by Kampung Toleransi continues to be carried out and delivered culturally by various parties. So that interaction is rooted in everyday life and can realize harmony in society. The development of interfaith interaction models and strategies that apply in general can be studied in further research.

Abstract

In what ways is teaching not fully considered a profession? Abstract: This article investigates the factors that influence perceptions of the teaching profession in Indonesia, focusing on educational requirements, salary levels, professional autonomy, and traditional views of education. The research method uses a literature review to gather information from various relevant sources. Findings show that teacher education and certification requirements vary, with inconsistent implementation across the country. Teachers' salary levels remain low, while their professional autonomy in teaching is often limited. Traditional views of education often regard teachers as guardians of moral values, which can reduce recognition of their professionalism. The implications of these findings highlight the need for action to improve the professional status of teachers in Indonesia, including increased salaries, greater autonomy, and public education about the important role teachers play in nation-building. By implementing the proposed recommendations, it is hoped that improvements in the quality of education and human resource development in Indonesia can be achieved.

Abstract

This study develops and examines a Tabayyun-based Reflective Digital Literacy Model in elementary school Social Studies (IPS) learning to address the critical challenge of digital misinformation. While current educational interventions focus heavily on operational and technical device skills, they fail to foster the deep epistemic skepticism and ethical reflection needed by young learners. This study offers a novel framework by integrating the Islamic ethical principle of tabayyun (information verification) into reflective inquiry. Employing a qualitative case study design at an elementary school in Bandung, data were gathered through interviews, observations, documentation, and surveys involving 48 students in Grades IV and V. Data analysis followed the interactive model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that the model successfully operates through three stages: guided digital habituation, tabayyun-based critical verification, and structured reflective synthesis. Post-implementation evaluation showed that 88% of student responses demonstrated substantial growth in digital critical thinking, verification habits, reflective awareness, and responsible citizenship. This model provides an alternative to conventional, textbook-centric IPS pedagogy by transforming it into an ethically anchored, reflective digital learning practice that accommodates teachers' varying digital competencies. Keywords: Reflective Digital Literacy, Tabayyun, IPS Learning, Elementary School, Hoax Prevention.

Abstract

Adolescent mental health requires strategic interventions through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in schools. However, the mental health content in PAI textbooks has not yet been systematically mapped. This study aims to extract mental health content from six units of analysis, namely the official PAI textbooks for junior high and senior high school levels (Grades VII–XII) under the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used was concept-based qualitative content analysis (QCA) with a hierarchical framework integrating six dimensions of Psychological Well-Being and eight categories of Tazkiyatun Nafs (a total of 14 categories). The results indicate that mental health content is integrated through the six dimensions of Psychological Well-Being and the eight categories of Tazkiyatun Nafs. The distribution of material is gradual: at the junior high school level, the emphasis is on intrapersonal aspects, while at the senior high school level, the focus is on autonomy and the prevention of risky behaviors. However, a representation discrepancy was found: the aspects of spiritual resilience and behavioral control have reached Level 3 (Practice & Evaluation), while self-acceptance and purpose in life remain at Level 2 (Conceptual). The implications of this study underscore the need to transform PAI curriculum materials from normative narratives into practical tools that align spiritual values with mental health literacy, as well as to optimize the “Mari Bermuhasabah” rubric as a medium for psychosocial reflection to bridge the pedagogical gap in the dimension of acceptance.
