Abstract

Low birth weight (LBW) and neonatal asphyxia are major contributors to neonatal morbidity and mortality. Maternal factors such as active pulmonary tuberculosis may further worsen neonatal conditions through impaired intrauterine oxygenation, placing infants at high risk and requiring intensive physiological stabilization from the early neonatal period. Developmental care is a non-pharmacological intervention based on evidence-based practice that focuses on environmental regulation and stimulation tailored to the infant’s developmental needs. This case study aimed to describe the implementation of developmental care on physiological stabilization in a low birth weight infant with mild asphyxia born to a mother with active pulmonary tuberculosis. The study employed a case study design involving a one-day-old male neonate treated in a level II perinatology unit of a provincial referral hospital. The intervention was conducted over four days and included environmental modification, reduction of noise and lighting, use of nesting, implementation of clustered care, and maternal involvement through education and auditory stimulation. Physiological parameters observed included body temperature, respiratory rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation, sucking reflex, sleep patterns, level of calmness, and weight changes. The results demonstrated improved physiological stabilization, as indicated by vital signs within normal ranges, enhanced sucking reflex, improved sleep quality, and weight gain. Developmental care has the potential to support physiological adaptation and is recommended as an evidence-based neonatal nursing practice.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Early childhood development includes emotional regulation skills that are influenced by various factors, one of which is screen time. Excessive screen use can reduce direct social interaction and impact children's emotional development. This study aims to determine the relationship between screen time duration and emotional regulation in children aged 3–6 years at the Healthy Child Care Center of Universitas Padjadjaran. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional correlational design. The sample consisted of 37 parents of children using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a screen time questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability by Maoludin (2018) and the Emotion Regulation Checklist (ERC) instrument, which had been translated into Indonesian and tested for validity and reliability by Umami (2015). and then analyzed using univariate tests using frequency distribution and percentages and bivariate tests using Spearman's rho test. The results showed a significant relationship between screen time duration and children's emotion regulation (p = 0.003). These results indicate that an increase in screen time duration is associated with a decrease in children's ability to manage and express emotions adaptively. Based on these results, nurses need to collaborate with early childhood education/daycare institutions and parents in providing promotional and preventive efforts related to screen. Keywords: Early Childhood, Emotion Regulation, Screen Time.  ABSTRAK Perkembangan anak usia dini mencakup kemampuan regulasi emosi yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya durasi penggunaan layar (screen time). Penggunaan layar yang berlebihan dapat mengurangi interaksi sosial langsung dan berdampak pada perkembangan emosional anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara durasi screen time dan regulasi emosi anak usia 3–6 tahun di Pusat Perawatan Anak (PUSPA) Sehat Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 37 orang tua anak dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner screen timeyang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya oleh Maoludin (2018) serta instrumen Emotion Regulation Checklist (ERC) yang telah diterjemahkan ke Bahasa Indonesia dan teruji valid serta reliabel oleh Umami (2015), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase serta uji bivariat menggunakan uji Spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara durasi screen time dan regulasi emosi anak (p = 0,003). Hasil penelitian ini bermakna bahwa peningkatan durasi screen time berkaitan dengan menurunnya kapasitas anak dalam memahami dan mengekspresikan emosi secara adaptif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diperlukan peran perawat untuk bekerjasama dengan lembaga PAUD/ daycare dan orang tua dalam memberikan upaya promotif dan preventif terkait mengelola screen time secara bijak guna mendukung perkembangan regulasi emosi anak secara optimal. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini, Durasi Screen Time, Regulasi Emosi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Gaucher disease (GD) is a rare disease characterized by a deficiency of the enzyme Glucocerebrosidase, resulting in a buildup of fatty substances which can damage body organs, one of which is neurological disorders. With neurological disorders, the patient will be at risk of aspiration so it is necessary to install a Nasograstric Tube (NGT). NGT care needs to be carried out including maintaining the moisture of the oral mucous membrane. The aim of this study was to identify oral care interventions in reducing the degree of damage to the oral mucous membranes in pediatric patients with Gaucher disease. This research uses a case report method with a nursing care approach. The instrument used was BOAS (Back Oral Assessment Score) which was assessed on the first and last day of intervention. This research was conducted on An. A is 25 months old and is being treated at RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung. Obtained subjective data from An. A has been using an NGT for two months and plans to go home with the NGT still installed, An's oral mucosa. A is dry, and there are reddish black lesions on the lower lip. The nursing diagnosis in the case was the risk of aspiration, while the intervention carried out was oral care and honey which was given every eight hours for three days with a duration of 15-20 minutes. Based on the research results, it was found that oral care and honey can reduce the degree of damage to the oral membranes in children with a BOAS score of 11 before the intervention and after the intervention to 9. The researcher's suggestion for nurses as care givers is to apply oral care and honey to pediatric patients to maintain the moisture of the mucous membranes. orally due to long-term use of NGT. Keywords: Children, Impaired Skin Integrity,  Gaucher Disease, Oral Care  ABSTRAK Gaucher disease (GD) merupakan suatu penyakit langka yang ditandai dengan adanya kekurangan enzim Glucocerebrosidase, sehingga terjadi penumpukan zat lemak yang dapat merusak organ tubuh salah satunya gangguan neurologis. Dengan adanya gangguan neurologis, pasien akan mengalami resiko aspirasi sehingga perlu dilakukan pemasangan Nasograstric Tube (NGT). Perawatan NGT perlu dilakukan termasuk  menjaga kelembaban membran mukosa oral. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi intervensi oral care dalam menurunkan derajat kerusakan membran mukosa oral pada pasien anak dengan gaucher disease. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode case report dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu BOAS (Back Oral Assessment Score) yang dikaji pada hari pertama dan terakhir intervensi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada An. A berusia 25 bulan dan dirawat di RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung. Didapatkan data subjektif An. A sudah menggunakan NGT selama dua bulan dan rencana akan pulang dengan NGT yang masih terpasang, mukosa oral An. A kering, dan terdapat lesi berwarna hitam kemerahan di bibir bawah. Diagnosis keperawatan pada kasus yaitu resiko aspirasi, sedangkan intervensi yang dilakukan yaitu oral care dan madu yang diberikan setiap delapan jam sekali selama tiga hari dengan durasi 15-20 menit. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa oral care dan madu dapat mengurangi derajat kerusakan membran oral  pada anak dengan skor BOAS 11 sebelum intervensi dan setelah intervensi menjadi 9. Saran peneliti untuk perawat sebagai care giver dapat menerapkan oral care dan madu pada pasien anak untuk menjaga kelembaban membran mukosa oral akibat penggunaan NGT yang berlangsung lama. Kata Kunci: Anak, Gangguan Integritas Kulit, Penyakit Gaucher, Perawatan Mulut

Abstract

ABSTRACT Caring is the basis of nursing care. Caring behaviour based on emotional intelligence can enhance the quality of health services and support the provision of nursing services according to the client's expectations. This study aimed to determine the level of emotional intelligence of clinical nursing students in the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad). This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The research population was students of the Nursing Profession Program, Faculty of Nursing Unpad batch 42 and 43 (N=193). The sampling technique used total sampling in the form of an online survey using Google Forms with a response rate of 81.3%. The instrument used the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form (TEIQue-SF), translated into Indonesian by Febriana dan Fajrianthi (2021). Data were analyzed using univariate descriptive analysis presented with a frequency distribution table. The findings of this study are significant, revealing that most clinical nursing students demonstrate moderate (60.5%) to high (39.5%) levels of emotional intelligence, with no students falling into the low category. Specifically, students exhibit moderate emotional intelligence, well-being, self-control, sociability, and emotionality. It suggests that students possess a solid foundation of emotional intelligence, which can be further enhanced through education, such as training, activities, or positive experiences. The research concludes that clinical nursing students in the Faculty of Nursing Unpad have medium and high levels of emotional intelligence. This research can be a reference for further researchers to develop research on other factors affecting students' emotional intelligence. Keywords: Academic Stress, Clinical Nursing Student, Emotional Intelligence.  ABSTRAK Caring merupakan dasar melakukan asuhan keperawatan. Perilaku caring yang didasari kecerdasan emosional dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan dan mendukung pemberian pelayanan keperawatan sesuai harapan klien.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa Program Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Unpad angkatan 42 dan 43 (N=193). Teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling berupa survei online menggunakan Google Form dengan response rate 81,3% yaitu sebanyak 157 mahasiswa. Instrumen menggunakan Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form (TEIQue-SF) yang dialihbahasakan dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Febriana dan Fajrianthi (2021). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif univariat yang disajikan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosional pada kategori sedang (60,5%), kategori tinggi (39,5%), dan tidak terdapat mahasiswa yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional rendah. Mahasiswa secara umum memiliki dimensi kecerdasan emosional well-being, self-control, sociability, dan emotionality pada kategori sedang. Artinya mahasiswa memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang cukup baik dan bisa dioptimalkan lagi karena pada dasarnya kecerdasan emosional dapat berkembang dan dibentuk melalui pendidikan, baik berupa pelatihan, kegiatan atau pengalaman yang positif. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah secara umum mahasiswa Program Profesi Ners Fakultas Keperawatan Unpad memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosional sedang dan tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan penelitian mengenai faktor lain yang dapat berpengaruh pada kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Mahasiswa Profesi Ners, Stres Akademik.
