Abstract

The circular economy has emerged as an important approach to enhancing agribusiness sustainability by shifting production systems from linear models toward regenerative processes that preserve resource value. This study identifies and evaluates the implementation of an integrated livestock farming system in agribusiness micro, small, and medium enterprises through a case study of CV Mitra Tani Farm, an integrated livestock-based enterprise in Indonesia. Circular agribusiness practices were identified using the 9R principles, and the analysis employed the Triple Bottom Line framework to assess sustainability performance across economic, environmental, and social dimensions. The identification results indicate that the integrated farming system implemented at MT Farm operationally reflects the core principles of the circular economy. The evaluation further shows that circular practices such as waste-to-resource conversion, integrated farming systems, and product diversification effectively reduce operational waste, improve resource efficiency, and maintain ecological balance. Socially, these practices promote employment creation, partner capacity building, and the strengthening of rural collaboration. From an economic perspective, circular practices enhance business resilience; however, the economic potential of waste-based activities has not yet been fully optimized, indicating the need for further development to enable the circular economy to play a more effective role in supporting the transformation toward sustainable agribusiness.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the Umrah and Hajj industry in Indonesia and globally presents both significant opportunities and competitive challenges for specialized travel organizers. This study examines the business strategy architecture at ESQ Tours (PT Fajrul Ikhsan Wisata), one of Indonesia's leading dedicated Umrah and Hajj travel agencies, established since 2005. The research aims to develop a comprehensive business strategy architecture aligned with the company's vision as a preferred and trusted halal tour operator in Southeast Asia. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using a case study model, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, company annual reports, and literature reviews. Data analysis incorporated a multi-layered strategic framework, including foresight analysis, PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces, VRIO, Activity-Based Management (ABM), SWOT, TOWS Matrix, and the A'WOT (AHP-SWOT) method to prioritize strategic choices. The External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix yielded a score of 2.860 and the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) matrix scored 2.790, placing ESQ Tours in Quadrant V of the IE Matrix, recommending a "Hold and Maintain" strategy through market penetration and product development. Key findings reveal that ESQ Tours' primary competitive advantages lie in its unique ESQ 165-based meaning methodology and strong brand reputation, while its most critical weakness is the underutilization of the pilgrim waiting-period ecosystem. Three priority strategies were formulated: spiritual experience-based differentiation, strengthening unique value propositions, and service quality standardization. The resulting business strategy architecture for 2026–2030 is built upon two pillars—offensive differentiation and internal modernization—with a transformative shift from a transactional to a relational and sustainable business model through activation of the Hajj waiting congregation ecosystem.

Abstract

Background: The production of bread is predominantly dependent on wheat flour as its core input. Therefore, volatility and inflationary trends in the price of this commodity present a persistent operational and strategic challenge for bakery companies, directly affecting their cost structures, revenue streams, and ultimately, their pricing strategies for end consumers. Within this competitive and cost-sensitive environment, understanding the determinants of consumer purchase behavior is paramount. This behavior is not monolithic but is influenced by a complex interplay of determinants, notably those related to price perception (e.g., value, fairness) and socio-psychological factors captured by behavioral theories. A precise understanding of these mechanisms is critical for businesses to navigate market challenges and cultivate lasting consumer loyalty through increased repurchase intention.Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of product price image, price sensitivity, and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) on repurchase intention and to investigate the mediating role of perceived value in the relationship between product price image and repurchase intention.Design/methodology/approach: This study employed a purposive sampling technique, collecting data from 225 respondents who met the eligibility criteria: individuals aged at least 17 years (or born in 2007 or later) and who had purchased Roti X within the last six months. The research was geographically limited to the Tangerang area. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).Findings/Result: The findings indicate that the majority of respondents purchased bread more than five times per month, typically consuming 1–2 loaves per week. The primary reasons cited were taste, affordable price, and recommendations from close acquaintances. The SEM-PLS analysis revealed several key relationships. Perceived value demonstrated a significant direct influence on repurchase intention. In contrast, the product’s price image did not exhibit a significant direct effect. However, the analysis confirmed that perceived value acts as a significant mediating variable between product price image and repurchase intention. Furthermore, all constructs from the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control significantly influenced repurchase intention, with perceived behavioral control emerging as the dominant factor. Finally, price sensitivity was found not to be a significant moderating variable in the relationships between product price image/perceived value and repurchase intention. Conclusion: The enhancement of perceived value, the preservation of a favorable price image, the assurance of price competitiveness, and the improvement of product accessibility constitute critical determinants in fostering repurchase intention.Originality/value (State of the art): This study employs a distinct approach by integrating the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) with product price image and perceived value to analyze repurchase intention of sweet bread. Keywords:   perceived value, price sensitivity, product price image, repurchase intention, theory of planned behavior (TPB)
