Abstract

This research examines the changes and development of the Arabic curriculum in Indonesia, especially in the context of historical influences and the impact of globalization. Historically, the Arabic curriculum in Indonesia has undergone various transformations influenced by political, social, and educational policy developments. The role of globalization further accelerates this dynamic by bringing new challenges, such as the need to master communication skills that are more contextual and relevant to the demands of the modern world. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method and historical analysis. The data used is obtained from previous literature sources related to the Arabic curriculum in Indonesia, as well as from current education policies. The purpose of this study is to understand the pattern of Arabic curriculum transformation, the factors that influence it, and how globalization shapes the development of the curriculum in the future. The results show that the transformation of the Arabic curriculum in Indonesia is not only determined by internal dynamics such as local needs, but also by external influences such as global changes in education and technology. This transformation reflects an attempt to answer the challenges of globalization while maintaining existing traditional values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi keterampilan abad ke-21 (4C)—berpikir kritis, komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan kreativitas—dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di kelas II Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta Raudhatul Jannah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru pengampu mata pelajaran Bahasa Arab kelas II. Teknik analisis data mengikuti model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi keterampilan 4C belum optimal. Pembelajaran masih bersifat klasikal, dengan dominasi hafalan dan minimnya aktivitas kolaboratif serta kreatif. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen guru dan ketersediaan bahan ajar tematik dari Kementerian Agama, sedangkan faktor penghambat mencakup keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya pelatihan guru, minimnya media interaktif, serta ketimpangan kesiapan siswa. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya pelatihan guru yang berkelanjutan, pengembangan bahan ajar kontekstual, dan dukungan struktural yang kuat agar pembelajaran Bahasa Arab dapat selaras dengan tuntutan keterampilan abad ke-21.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to the effect analysis of work discipline, work environment, and work motivation on employees performance at PT. Bayutama Teknik. The research methodology that applied for this research was quantitative method and primary data which obtained from questionnaries. This sampling technique uses the random sampling method. Multiple linear regressions was used as the data analysis technique to test the validity, reliability test, classic assumption test (normality test, multicolloniearity test, autocorrelation test, heteroscedasticity test), and hypothesis testing t-statistical and f-statistic in order to examine the collective effect with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study show that in partial variable motivation, work discipline, and work environment has a positive impact and a significant of employee performance at PT. Bayutama Teknik. Meanwhile, the independent variable of motivation, work discipline, and work environment simultaneously has a significant relationship to the dependent variable of employee performance at PT. Bayutama Teknik. Coefficient of determination from this study showed 51.1% result, while the remaining of 48.9% is affected by other independent variables.

Abstract

The researcher chose this topic because teaching speaking skill has problems, including: Students' lack of inclination to speak Arabic, not using the medium to teach speaking skill, the lack of students' interaction in teaching Arabic and the lack of students' motivation to speak. The purposes of this research are: (1) To know use of  flash card media in speaking skil learning at Al-Ihsan Islamic middle school Jakarta, (2) to know is the student ability of using the flash card media in speaking skil learning at Al-Ihsan Islamic middle school Jakarta (3) To know how far is the effectiveness of using the flash card media in speaking skil learning at Al-Ihsan Islamic middle school Jakarta. This research is a quantitative research, with an experimental method that uses the type of one group pretest posttest design. While the method of data collections were using observation, interviews, oral test and documentation. After the researcher carried out the pre-test and post-test activities orally, the researcher obtained the average result, the pre-test was 63.71 and the post-test average result was 70.57 then analyzed it with the T-test and got the t-table results. (0.975) which is 1.99 while the t-count is 16.41 which is greater than the result of the t-table. And shows the comparison value that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The researcher knows that the application of flashcard media has proven its effect on speaking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of authentic assessment in learning reading at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 4, the obstacles teachers face in implementing an authentic evaluation system and their solutions, and student responses to authentic assessments. To analyze this problem, the researcher used the descriptive analysis method. The method that the researchers uses to take the sample is the purposive sampling method. The data were collected from the results of questionnaires and interviews. Therefore, the data was analyzed, and then the results were in descriptive form by looking at the value data table and the student response table. It was found that students had good authentic assessments of reading skills supported by methods and media provided by the teacher. The researchers concluded that many students had accomplished minimum criterion. The obstacles are the lack of lessons time and online learning.

Abstract

This study critically analyzes ta'rib (Arabization) strategies in contemporary Arabic, focusing on patterns of linguistic adaptation and their socio-cultural implications. Using a qualitative approach with an interpretive-constructivist paradigm, this study analyzes a documentary corpus that includes official publications of Arabic language institutions, academic literature, and a digital corpus of mass media. The results show that the ta'rib process involves systematic transformations at the phonological and morphological levels, with variations influenced by the domain of use and social context. Factors such as level of education, exposure to foreign languages, and attitude toward language modernization significantly affect the acceptance of ta'rib results. This research identifies the need for a holistic approach in developing ta'rib strategies that consider linguistic, socio-cultural, and technological aspects.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into foreign language teaching has revealed significant disparities in global innovation and accessibility, necessitating systematic analysis. This systematic literature review analyzed 88 studies (2019–2024) from Scopus, Web of Science, and ProQuest. Geographically, AI development is concentrated in Asia (particularly China and West Asia), shifting from the previous U.S. dominance. Text- and audio-based tools dominate pedagogical practice, focusing overwhelmingly on productive skills (speaking and writing) and English-language instruction, marginalizing linguistic diversity. Stakeholders reflect dual perceptions: teachers acknowledge administrative efficiency but cite digital literacy gaps and content accuracy concerns; students report reduced anxiety yet criticize AI’s inability to grasp socio-cultural nuances and highlight dependency risks. Pedagogically, AI aligns with social constructivism (adaptive scaffolding) and Self-Determination Theory (motivation gains), although limitations in human interaction depth persist. Three multidimensional challenges emerge: (1) inter-country research-policy disparities, (2) pedagogical risks (dehumanization and over-reliance), and (3) infrastructure access asymmetry. This study contributes to the global landscape mapping of AI trends, validates pedagogical synergies, and offers evidence-based frameworks for policymakers (equitable research), educators (blended learning), and developers (context-responsive multilingual tools). Strategic implications urge developing regions to strengthen inclusive frameworks through international collaboration to prevent epistemic inequalities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the common patterns of code-switching and code-mixing employed by multilingual learners and their pedagogical implications. Using a systematic literature review method, 44 empirical studies published between 2019 and 2024 were selected from Scopus and Google Scholar databases. The findings reveal seven dominant forms of code-switching and code-mixing, including intra-sentential, inter-sentential, tag-switching, intra-word switching, situational, metaphorical, and code-mixing. These patterns are shaped by three primary factors: social context, learning environment, and cultural identity. Pedagogically, these linguistic strategies play a crucial role in enhancing comprehension, developing language skills, supporting cultural identity, fostering flexibility, and increasing engagement in multilingual classrooms. However, excessive use without guidance may lead to confusion and hinder language development. The study highlights the importance of understanding these practices for designing inclusive and effective language education strategies. It contributes to sociolinguistics and multilingual pedagogy by offering practical insights for teachers, curriculum developers, and education policymakers. Additionally, this review sheds light on emerging digital communication trends, such as the use of code-switching and code-mixing in online platforms and blended learning environments. It also provides actionable suggestions for integrating these strategies into teacher training and curriculum development. By addressing both linguistic and pedagogical aspects, the study underscores the relevance of language alternation in contemporary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesesuaian antara tujuan dan materi kurikulum Bahasa Arab di tingkat Madrasah Ibtida’iyah (MI) dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam. Bahasa Arab memiliki peran strategis sebagai bahasa agama dan sarana transmisi keilmuan Islam, sehingga pembelajarannya pada jenjang dasar perlu dirancang secara sistematis dan sesuai dengan perkembangan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis dokumen terhadap tujuan kurikulum dan materi ajar Bahasa Arab MI. Analisis dilakukan dengan menelaah keterkaitan tujuan pembelajaran baik tujuan umum maupun tujuan khusus dengan materi yang mencakup kosakata, struktur bahasa, dan keterampilan berbahasa. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa secara konseptual tujuan kurikulum Bahasa Arab di tingkat ibtida’i telah mencakup ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik serta sejalan dengan visi pendidikan Islam. Materi pembelajaran pada umumnya telah disusun secara bertahap dan kontekstual sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak usia dasar. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan ketidakseimbangan dalam implementasi, terutama kecenderungan penekanan pada hafalan kosakata dibandingkan pengembangan keterampilan komunikatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa diperlukan penyelarasan yang lebih optimal antara tujuan dan materi agar pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di tingkat ibtida’i dapat berlangsung lebih efektif, bermakna, dan berorientasi pada penguasaan keterampilan berbahasa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Pendidikan bahasa Arab di Indonesia, khususnya pada jenjang dasar dan menengah, mengalami perkembangan yang dinamis, yang dipengaruhi oleh perubahan kebijakan kurikulum dan kebutuhan masyarakat akan kemampuan berbahasa Arab yang komunikatif. Buku ajar bahasa Arab berperan penting sebagai sarana untuk menghubungkan teori bahasa dengan praktik pembelajaran di kelas, serta sebagai alat untuk mengembangkan empat keterampilan berbahasa: menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi buku ajar bahasa Arab pada tingkat dasar dan menengah, dengan menilai aspek linguistik, pedagogis, serta relevansi budaya terhadap karakteristik peserta didik Indonesia. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi keseimbangan distribusi keterampilan bahasa dalam buku ajar, serta menilai apakah bahan ajar tersebut sudah memenuhi prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran yang komunikatif dan kontekstual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun buku ajar telah mengintegrasikan berbagai tema kehidupan sehari-hari yang relevan dengan peserta didik, masih terdapat ketidakseimbangan dalam pengembangan keterampilan berbicara dan mendengarkan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perbaikan dalam penyajian materi untuk mendukung pengembangan keterampilan komunikatif yang lebih seimbang dan relevan dengan kurikulum yang berlaku. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan bahan ajar bahasa Arab yang lebih efektif dan kontekstual di Indonesia.
