Abstract

Publication of scientific articles in the national journal Science and Technology (Sinta) has become an obligation for academics such as students and lecturers. For students, publication is one of the requirements for graduation. For lecturers, scientific publication is a requirement for promotion or academic level (JA). Several levels of JA are Assistant Expert, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Professor. Lecturers who will apply for promotion to Senior Lecturer are required to publish in the Sinta 2 Journal. To be able to find a suitable journal, there are many considerations, if you choose the wrong journal, the article can be rejected. In choosing a journal, authors generally look at information such as publication costs, number of articles published, number of article publication frequencies, and review process time. Sometimes authors need ambiguous information such as the number of articles with many categories, low costs, high publication frequencies, and fast review times. The approach to this problem can use the Tahani fuzzy model database. This study applies the Tahani fuzzy model to model Sinta 2 journal data in the computer field to provide new findings and facilitate the selection of journals that match the criteria. This research needs to be done to provide useful information for several parties. For the author, this research is useful as a reference for selecting journals according to the criteria sought. For journal managers or editors, this information can increase the number of articles to be published, and for further researchers, this research will be information and reference material regarding journal selection research

Abstract

This community service program aims to introduce the concept of smart homes and energy management through training on simple automation systems based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The target participants were students from the Electronics Engineering program at a vocational school in Bandar Lampung. Participants were trained to design and program lamp and fan control systems using an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with the Blynk application as a remote-control interface. The activity employed a learning by doing approach through socialization, workshops, and hands-on project sessions. The results indicated an improvement in students’ knowledge and skills in understanding IoT principles, automation systems, and their application for efficient electrical energy use. The developed smart home prototype successfully controlled electrical devices wirelessly via smartphones, serving as an effective and inspiring practical learning medium for fostering digital technology innovation in vocational education settings.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper presents the design, simulation, and experimental implementation of a photovoltaic (PV) emulator based on a buck converter controlled using the dynamic evolution control (DEC) technique. The proposed system accurately reproduces the nonlinear current-voltage (I-V) and power-voltage (P-V) characteristics of a commercial GREEN CELL SM100-18P (100 Wp) PV module under standard test conditions (1000 W/m2, 25 °C). The electrical characteristics of the reference module are embedded in the controller through a lookup table (LUT), which is integrated with the DEC algorithm to enable adaptive real-time regulation of output voltage and current. System modeling and validation are first conducted in MATLAB/Simulink to analyze steady-state and transient performance. A hardware prototype based on an XL4016 buck converter and Arduino Nano microcontroller is then implemented, with real-time monitoring provided via an ILI9341 TFT display. Experimental results show that the emulator achieves a maximum power deviation of 0.8%, a normalized root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.015, a settling time of approximately 12 ms, overshoot below 1.5%, voltage ripple under 2%, and peak conversion efficiency of 94% near the MPP region. These results confirm that the proposed PV emulator provides accurate static and dynamic reproduction of PV characteristics, offering a low-cost, stable, and repeatable platform for laboratory-scale evaluation of PV-related power electronic converters.

Abstract

Fishery waste is generally not utilized and is often discarded, causing accumulation, decay, and environmental pollution. Pesisir Barat Regency is famous for its fishery potential and is the largest producer of Tuhuk (Blue Marlin) fish. Arista UMKM is one of the UMKM producing fish floss and its derivatives. The lack of knowledge among UMKM centers regarding the processing of fish waste into value-added products has led to the accumulation of fishery waste. The technologies to be disseminated are: a) Antimicrobial Technology, b) Simple Food Processing Technology, c) Waste Processing Technology into Natural Seasoning Products. The purpose of this community service is 1) to transfer simple food processing technology; 2) to solve partner waste problems by minimizing waste into marketable products; 3) to increase partner income with a new product, namely Natural Seasoning Products. The methods used are: a) lectures and discussions on simple food processing technology, b) technology transfer for the production of Natural Seasoning Products, c) assistance in the processing of Natural Seasoning Products. The evaluation of the community service program is conducted by measuring understanding at the beginning (pre-test) and at the end of the community service activity (post-test). The results of this community service activity show that there is a lack of knowledge among partners and the surrounding community regarding fish waste that can be processed into useful products, knowledge related to microbes, antimicrobials, processing waste into cooking spices, and knowledge of efforts to protect the environment by processing waste into products. After providing explanations, presenting materials, holding question and answer discussions, and conducting hands-on practice, there was an increase in the understanding of Arista UMKM partners and the surrounding community regarding simple food processing and antimicrobial technology, ranging from 57-100% (post-test results). The increase in the partners' skill scores in Natural Seasoning Product processing technology was significant, reaching 100% (post-test results). The conclusion is that the technology transfer used, namely the processing of fish waste into natural seasoning products, has commercial value, therefore minimizing waste in the environment and making it beneficial. This product can be commercialized, which is expected to increase the income of Arista UMKM partners.
