Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce a model for student financial literacy at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Private University in Medan. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto causal associative research design. This research was conducted at University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Islamic University of North Sumatra, Pancabudi University, Dharmawangsa University, Al Azhar University, University of Muslim Nusantara, Al Washliyah University, Prima Indonesia University, HKBP Nomensen University, University of Prima Indonesia, and Sari Mutiara University. The study population was all students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Private Universities in Medan City from semester IV to semester VIII. Data collection techniques using a list of questions (questionnaire), interviews and documentation studies. To test the dimensions of the financial literacy construct using structural equational modeling (SEM). The results showed that financial knowledge had a positive and significant effect on financial behavior, financial attitude had a positive and significant effect on financial behavior, and there was a significant reciprocal relationship between financial knowledge and financial attitude.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruhkompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja, mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan, mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan dan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui kepuasan kerja pada PT. Socfin Indonesia Medan.Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik dengan analisis regresi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan tetap pada PT. Socfin Indonesia Medan yang berjumlah 204 orang sedangkan sampel penelitian diperoleh sebanyak 135 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisis data  menggunakan pendekatan asosiatif dan kuantitatif dengan alat ukur statistik koefisien jalur (path analysis).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antaravariabel kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara variabel kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan, ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan, tidak ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara variabel kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui Kepuasan kerja karyawan pada PT. Socfin Indonesia Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of e-WOM on destination image, tourist satisfaction, and tourist loyalty. Analyze the influence of destination image on tourist satisfaction and loyalty, and analyze the effect of satisfaction on tourist loyalty. This research approach is an associative approach. The location of this study was conducted in the tourist destination of the Lake Toba Region in North Sumatra. The population in this study is domestic tourists. This population was chosen, because theoretically and empirically it has various characteristics that are appropriate to the topic and purpose of the study. While the sample size is 145 tourists. Data collection techniques are a list of questions and interviews. The analytical method used in this study is the Structural Equation Model with data processing using the Lisrel 8.0 computer program. The results showed that E-WOM affected Destination Image, Tourist Satisfaction, and Tourist Loyalty, Destination Image influenced Tourist Satisfaction and Tourist Loyalty and Tourist Satisfaction influenced Tourist Loyalty.

Abstract

Analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penetapan target penerimaan retribusi parkir sudah sesuai dengan kapasitas retribusi parkir, mengetahui apakah realisasi penerimaan retribusi parkir sudah sesuai dengan target penerimaan retribusi parkir dan mengetahui upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan penerimaan retribusi parkir di Kecamatan Medan Kota. Metode analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa deskriptif kualitatif.Adapun  dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa target yang ditetapkan 52,50% dari kapasitas yang sebenarnya, jadi terdapat 48,50% kapasitas yang hilang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Cash Turnover, Turnover Turnover and Fixed Assets Turnover to Return On Equity (ROE) with Institutional Ownership as moderating variables either partially or simultaneously on the company Property and Real Estate listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2011-2015. The approach of this research is the quantitative approach, population in this research is a company of Property and Real Estate which listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange year 2011-2015, sample in this research is determined by purposive sampling from 50 companies, and 14 companies that meet the criteria to be sampled research. The type of data in this study is secondary data. Analysis technique using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study show that partially Cash Turnover effect is not significant to Return On Equity. Receivable Turnover has no significant effect on Return On Equity and Institutional ownership does not moderate the influence of both. Fixed Assets Turn over significant effect on Return On Equity and moderate Institutional ownership. Simultaneously variable Cash Turnover, Receivable Turnover, and Fixed Assets Turnover significant effect on Return On Equity. Institutional Ownership has no significant effect on Return On Equity and Institutional Owners moderate the relationship between Cash Turnover, Accounts Receivable Turnover and Fixed Assets Turnover with Return on Equity. Ownership of Institutions as Moderating Variables in this study.

The results showed that compensation had no significant effect on organizational commitment at PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. Career development has no significant effect on organizational commitment at PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. Compensation does not significantly influence the job satisfaction of employees at PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. Career development and a significant positive effect on job satisfaction of employees at PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh fasilitas kerja, disip[lin kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan, pengaruh fasilitas kerja dan disiplin kerja terhadap motivasi kerja, pengaruh fasilitas kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi kerja dan pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi kerja.. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian asosiatif dengan sampel sebanyak 87 responden yang merupakan karyawan pada PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan daftar pertanyataan seperti kuesioner dan teknik analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square (SmartPls) untuk menguji tujuh hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitan menunjukan bahwa: (1) pengaruh fasilitas kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan positif dan signifkan; (2) pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan positif dan signifikan; (3) pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan positif dan signifikan; (4) pengaruh fasilitas kerja terhadap motivasi kerja positif dan signifikan; (5) pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap motivasi kerja positif dan signifikan; (6) motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediator tidak berperan sebagai mediasi pada pengaruh fasilitas kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan; (7) motivasi kerja sebagai mediator tidak berperan sebagai mediasi pada pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Debt Ratio, Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio, and Institutional Ownership on Return On Asset both partially and simultaneously in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The approach used in this study is an associative approach. The population in this study were eighteen companies and thirteen companies were used as samples in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and components and observations made over five years starting from 2013-2017. Data collection techniques in this study used multiple regression analysis. The results of this study prove that partially or simultaneously Debt Ratio, Long Term Debt to Equity Ratio, and Institutional Ownership have no significant effect on Return On Assets in companies in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2017.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the influence of incentive, and career development on performance with motivation as the intervening variable. The population of this research is lecturers of University of Muhammadyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU). Sample which is taken from all faculties in UMSU so the total sample size used for this research was 300 respondents, taken by using accidental sampling method. The data was taken by questionnaire method and the data analysis method is using path analysis with SPSS. The results shows that (1) incentive has a significant relationship with motivation and performance of UMSU’s lecturers (2) career developments has an insignificant relationship with motivation and performance of UMSU’s lecturers (3) motivation act as an intervening variable which is mediating the relationship between incentive and career development with performance of UMSU’s lecturers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence between Price Earning Ratio and Return On Assets on Price to Book Value on plantation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) totaling 16 plantation companies, while samples that met the criteria in sampling for this study is a total of 8 plantation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The independent variable in this study consists of Price Earning Ratio and Return On Assets, while the dependent variable is Price to Book Value. This research approach uses an associative approach. The associative approach is an approach using two or more variables to determine the effect of one variable on another and data collection with documentation taken from the official website www.idx.co.id in the 2013-2016 period at Plantation companies listed on the Stock Exchange Indonesia. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method so that 8 companies were obtained as samples. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumptions, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination with the help of SPSS 16 software. The results of this study indicate that Price Earning Ratio (PER) partially has no significant effect on Price to Book Value (PBV), Return On Asset (ROA) partially has a significant effect on Price to Book Value (PBV). And simultaneously states that Price Earning Ratio and Return On Assets have a significant effect on Price to Book Value on plantation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
