Abstract

Robusta coffee is a potential commodity developed by the farming community in Belatungan, Pupuan. The development of Pupuan Robusta coffee is carried out continuously both by the government and the farmers as to maintain the quality of the processing technology on honey processed robusta ceffee. This study aimed to find out the farmers’ perceptions towards the innovation of the processing technology on honey processed robusta coffee. The study was conducted in Belatungan, Pupuan with a purposive method. Purposive sampling method with a certain criteria was used select the informants. The methods of observation, interviews, documentation and focus group discussion were used to obtain the primary and secondary data. The data was analyzed by using Miles and Huberman methods. The results of the study showed that the perception generated by someone over something was influenced by several factors, namely internal and external factors. The internal factors that influenced the farmers’ perceptions towards the application of processing technology on honey processed robusta ceffee were affected by its selling price which is more expensive, the short amount of processing time, the better quality and taste of robusta coffee, and the farmers’ expectation to maintain the processing technologi on honey processed robusta coffee. The external factors that influenced the farmers’ perceptions towards the application of the processing technology on honey processed robusta coffee were affected by several information of honey processed systems and by the easy procedures of it.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze business performance, financial resources, and strategies for developing agricultural cooperatives in East Java. The research approach used was a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach. The research locations were in Malang regencies, Lumajang, Bojonegoro, Tulungagung, Madiun, Situbondo, Banyuwangi, and Sumenep. Secondary and primary data, including cooperative performance, SWOT, and financial data, were carried out to obtain a cooperative description. The analysis methods used were descriptive analysis, financial ratios, SWOT and FFA. The results showed that agricultural cooperatives showed a strong institutional position in supporting food sovereignty. The number of active cooperatives reached 27461 units with 7.62 million members. Cooperatives in healthy performance were found in Malang, Situbondo, Tulungagung and Madiun Regencies.  The cooperative development should be emphasized on implementing functions of member annual meeting, developing innovation, making economic partnerships, strengthening capital formation, applying positive values of cooperatives to all members, facilitating members into the agribusiness chain, and improving the cluster of the production system. The strategies applied for East Java Cooperativesare prioritized on human resources, institutions and empowerment, facilities and infrastructure, and finance.JEL Classification: Q12, Q13, R58

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Gelung merupakan desa di Kecamatan Panarukan, Kabupaten Situbondo yang berbatasan dengan Selat Madura dan memiliki kekhasan dalam wirausaha rengginang. Kelompok UMKM rengginang telah berjalan turun terumurun. Rengginang merupakan salah satu produk yang sudah yang menjadi identitas desa tersebut. Rengginang ikan Desa Gelung dikenal luas paling enak di Kabupaten Situbondo.Rengginang merupakan salah satu produk yang sudah yang menjadi identitas desa  Gelung, namun pada masa pandemic covid-19 sebagian besar produsen rengginang mengalami kendala sehingga berdampak pada penurunan perekonomian masyarakat Desa Gelung. Berkaitan hal tersebut maka kegiatan pelatihan peningkatan kapasitas kewirausahaan ini dilakukan guna membantu UMKM Desa Gelung terus konsisten berjalan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Oktober 2021 dengan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dalam satu lingkup sosial masyarakat mengarah perubahan yang lebih baik. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan meliputi beberapa tahapan yaitu tahap 1) survey/persiapan, 2) pelaksanaan, 3) monitoring dan evaluasi. Penyampaian materi dilakukan oleh tim dengan metode diskusi dan role play serta metode sosialisasi dan presentasi. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan peningkatan kapasitas kewirausahan menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta mengemukakan sangat puas dan memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta. Mayoritas peserta pelatihan menilai pelatihan sangat puas dan sangat bermanfaat. Lebih lanjut pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap UMKM di Desa Gelung perlu dilakukan secara berkesinambungan sehingga memajukan rengginang sebagai produk khas Desa Gelung, Kecamatan Panarukan, Kabupaten Situbondo, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Kata kunci: pengabdian; kewirausahaan; UMKM; peningkatan kapasitas; rengginang. ABSTRACTGelung Village is located in Panarukan District, Situbondo Regency which borders the Madura Strait. Gelung has uniqueness in rengginang entrepreneurship. The Rengginang MSME group has been running for generations. Rengginang is one of the products that has become the identity of the village.Rengginang is one of the products that has become the identity of Gelung village, but during the covid-19 pandemic, most of the rengginang producers experienced problems, resulting in a decline in the economy of the Gelung Village community. The entrepreneurship capacity-building training activity was carried out to help the MSMEs of Gelung Village continue to run consistently. This activity has been carried out from July to October 2021 with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method in a social community that leads to better changes. The community service activities include several stages: 1) survey/preparation, 2) implementation, 3) monitoring and evaluation. The material was delivered by the team using discussion and role-play methods as well as socialization and presentation methods. The results of the entrepreneurship capacity building training activity showed that the majority of participants were very satisfied and had a positive impact on the participants. The majority of training participants rated the training as very satisfying and very useful. Furthermore, training and assistance for MSMEs in Gelung Village need to be carried out continuously to promote rengginang as a typical product of Gelung Village, Panarukan District, Situbondo Regency, East Java Province. Keywords: community empowerment; entrepreneur; mall and Medium Enterprise (SME); capacity building; rengginang.

Abstract

Sukorejo Village is a village located in Sumber Wringin District, Bondowoso Regency. Most of the residents work as agricultural laborers in the PTPN XII Plantation and a partial small as owners of the Arabica coffee plantations. The potential Arabica coffee waste belonging to the people, both solid waste and liquid waste, in each stage of the processing process is very large, but so far it is still very little used. Usually the coffee skin waste is only allowed to accumulate in the processing plant, causing an unpleasant odor and polluting the surrounding environment. The waste generated from the process of separating coffee skins from coffee beans (pulping process) in the form of biomass is very abundant, and few percent used for livestock feed and compost. One farmer group during the coffee harvest season (about 4 months) requires premium fuel of approximately 2 liters per day for the process of grinding coffee cherries into coffee powder. The waste generated from the process of separating coffee skins from coffee beans in the form of biomass is very abundant, and is only used a few percent for animal feed and compost. Therefore, to overcome the need for fuel, namely by utilizing coffee husk waste as a basic material for making bioethanol. Taking into account the above conditions, this service is carried out in Sukorejo Village, Sumber Wringin District, Bondowoso Regency, with the hope of increasing farmers' income by reducing the cost of purchasing fuel.

Abstract

Kelompok tani sebagai kekuatan yang mendasar merupakan basis integral dari pembangunan pertanian secara nasional yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan masyarakat petani. Perwujudan pengembangan kelompok tani dilaksanakan melalui penguatan dan pemantapan aspek finansial. Keberadaan kelompok tani sangat bermanfaat bagi petani. Anggota kelompok dapat memperoleh kredit lunak dari Bank sebagai modal usahatani pisang mas Kirana. Tujuan penelitian mengidentifikasi sumber permodalan dan kelayakan usahatani pisang mas Kirana pada kelompok tani pisang mas Kirana. Lokasi penelitian adalah Kecamatan Pasrujambe. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian lebih mengarah pada metode diskriptif dan analitis. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan Purposive Sampling dan Snowball sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan Analisis kelayakan usaha, dan analisa deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sumber permodalan usahatani pisang mas Kirana berasal dari permodalan mandiri dan bantuan dari pemerintah. Pendapatan yang dihasilkan pada usahatani pisang mas Kirana menguntungkan dan layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

Di Kabupaten Lumajang memiliki varietas komoditas pisang mas Kirana yang telah dikelola secara profesional, bersertifikasi dan dipasarkan untuk konsumsi di pasar-pasar modern. Tujuan penelitian strategi pengembangan komoditas pisang mas kirana pada Kawasan Agropolitan Seroja di Kabupaten Lumajang. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di kawasan agropolitan Seroja Kabupaten Lumajang. Kawasan tersebut terdiri dari Kecamatan Pasrujambe dan Kecamatan Senduro. Metode pengumpulan daa menggunakan data primer. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah Pengusahaan komoditas pisang mas Kirana di kawasan agropolitan seroja Kabupaten Lumajang memiliki peluang yang prospektif, akan tetapi produsen atau petani belum mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, sehingga belum memenuhi besarnya permintaan pasar, baik lokal maupun mancanegara. Strategi pengembangannya adalah pembentukan koperasi petani pisang mas kirana. Koperasi tersebut sebagai wadah bagi petani dan pelaku usaha dalam mengembangkan komoditas pisang mas kirana. Adanya koperasi, selain memperkuat permodalan, akses lembaga keuangan dan optimalisasi sumberdaya, juga mampu mengembangkan bisnis pembibitan sehingga meningkatkan kapasitas produksi.

Abstract

Susu memiliki gizi yang tinggi dan dapat digunakan sebagai makanan pendamping manusia dalam segala usia, sehingga susu merupakan makanan yang dapat dikatakan sempurna.Susu kambing peranakan etawa (PE) merupakan susu yang memiliki gizi yang sangat tinggi. Susutidak hanya dihasilkan oleh kambing akan tetapi dapat pula dihasilkan oleh ternak lain misalnyakerbau, sapi perah, kuda dan domba. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan tingkat motivasi,faktor apa saja yang berhubungan secara signifikan dengan motivasi, pendapatan dan kontribusinyaterhadap pendapatan peternak kambing peranakan etawa (PE). Penentuan daerah penelitianmenggunakan purposive method. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yaitumetode deskriptif dan korelasional. Analisis data menggunakan tabulasi skor, analisis korelasiRank Spearman (rs), analisis pendapatan dan analisis statistik dengan presentase kontribusi. Hasilmenunjukan bahwa tingkat motivasi tentang usaha ternak susu kambing peranakan etawa (PE)tinggi. Faktor ekstrinsik yang berkorelasi adalah kegiatan kelompok. Pendapatan peternak adalahmenguntungkan. Kontribusi pendapatan usaha ternak susu kambing peranakan etawa (PE) totalpendapatan keluarga peternak adalah sedang.

Abstract

Komoditas mangga gadung merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan yang dibudidayakan di Kabupaten Situbondo. Desa Bayeman Kecamatan Arjasa merupakan sentra produksi mangga gadung di Kabupaten Situbondo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pendapatan usahatani mangga gadung di Desa Bayeman Kecamatan Arjasa Kabupaten Situbondo; (2) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usahatani mangga gadung di Desa Bayeman Kecamatan Arjasa Kabupaten Situbondo. Penentuan daerah penelitian menggunakan purposive method. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis dan deskriptif. Metode pengambilan contoh menggunakan total sampling dengan responden sebanyak 38 petani. Analisis data menggunakan analisis pendapatan dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) usahatani mangga gadung di Desa Bayeman Kecamatan Arjasa Kabupaten Situbondo adalah menguntungkan dengan rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp. 18.435.656,95/ha/tahun. (2) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usahatani mangga gadung di Desa Bayeman Kecamatan Arjasa Kabupaten Situbondo yang berpengaruh nyata pada taraf kepercayaan 95% adalah jumlah produksi, harga jual, biaya obat-obatan, biaya tenaga kerja dan pendidikan, sedangkan variabel yang tidak berpengaruh nyata adalah biaya pupuk dan pengalaman.

Abstract

Regulation of the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4/2015 states that Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) are business entities whose entire or most of the capital is owned by the village through direct participation from separated village assets to manage assets, services, and other businesses for as much as possible the welfare of the village community. The research aims to assess the performance of BUMDes in Lumajang Regency. The focus of research on BUMDes Arya Wiraraja is on a financial perspective, a customer perspective, internal business process, a growth and learning perspective, and inhibiting and supporting factors for BUMDes development. The research data consisted of primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used descriptive analysis, financial performance analysis, and Force Field Analysis (FFA). The results from the financial perspective fall into the reasonably good category, because the level of acceptance, net income, ROI, ROE, and NPM has fluctuated. The customer perspective is in a good category because customers are satisfied with BUMDes services, but employee productivity is in the good enough categories, because employee performance fluctuates. The supporting factors for BUMDes consist of various business units such as the trade system unit, savings and loan units, service units, livestock farming business units, and tourism units. In contrast, the inhibiting factor for BUMDes is the formation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in each business unit. The conclusion of the study shows that the overall performance of BUMDes is quite good.

Abstract

The mushroom farming in Sempusari Village was a subsidiary farm to increase farm household income and it was a diversion commodity from secondary crops. The diversion decided due to there was an opportunity to use the remaining of the house yard. The straw mushroom farmers in this region are still not join any association or farmer groups, so that the farmers do the cultivation independently without any help. This study aims to determine 1) income of straw mushroom farming, 2) production cost efficiency of straw mushroom farming, 3) the contribution of straw mushroom farming profit to the farm household income of farmer households. The research method used descriptive and analytical methods. The sample used total sampling method. Data collection used observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis used income analysis, R/C ratio analysis and income contribution analysis. The results showed that straw mushroom farming in Sempusari subdistricts was profitable, its cost is efficient and the amount contribution of it is rated medium.
