Abstract

Since 2018, Sharia FinTech in Indonesia has grown significantly through platform-based innovations combining Islamic contracts and digital technology. The development of this industry is influenced by ongoing efforts to harmonize DSN-MUI fatwas with OJK regulations, aiming to enhance Sharia compliance and legal certainty. Through DSN-MUI fatwas (2008–2021) and POJK regulations (2016, 2022), religious and state authorities have worked to enhance legal certainty and consumer protection in the Sharia-based digital finance sector. This study adopts a qualitative approach through literature-based document analysis to examine how DSN-MUI fatwas and OJK regulations contribute to developing the Sharia FinTech industry. The research findings indicate that while fatwas offer normative guidance for Sharia compliance, challenges persist in areas such as financial literacy, technological readiness, and regulatory oversight effectiveness. The findings suggest a need for clearer regulations, improved public education, and more effective use of technology to enhance the transparency and efficiency of Sharia financial services. Stronger collaboration between financial regulators and religious institutions can improve the capacity of Sharia FinTech to support financial inclusion and contribute to sustainable growth in the Islamic economy.

Abstract

Reasoning refers to the structured and logical process of drawing conclusions from given premises. Students of mathematics education, who are being prepared as future educators, are expected to possess strong logical reasoning skills in order to comprehend and convey more advanced mathematical concepts. This study aims to analyze the reasoning abilities of mathematics education students in determining the truth value of quantified statements. The central research question is: How do students' reasoning abilities relate to the accuracy of their problem-solving in the context of quantification? An explorative qualitative approach was employed to explore students' reasoning in evaluating the truth values of quantified statements. The study involved 13 students from the Mathematics Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo who were enrolled in the Mathematical Foundations course during the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection instruments included a set of test questions and open-ended interview protocols. The analysis focused on indicators of mathematical reasoning, including: (1) identifying facts, patterns, properties, and relationships, (2) drawing logical conclusions, (3) making predictions and solving problems, and (4) constructing systematic and valid arguments. Following the written assessment, three students representing different levels of performance were selected for in-depth interviews. The findings revealed that while all three participants demonstrated potential in mathematical reasoning, each exhibited specific areas requiring further development. Subject N was proficient in deconstructing quantification problems and drawing logical conclusions, although further probing during the interview revealed gaps in deeper conceptual understanding. Subject A displayed semantic comprehension of quantification but lacked precision in applying formal logic and integrating numerical analysis. Subject F demonstrated a verbal understanding of truth value criteria and was capable of drawing conclusions, yet faced challenges with formal notation, particularly with singular quantifiers. Overall, the participants exhibited promising reasoning abilities but required reinforcement in interpreting formal notation, constructing valid arguments, and accurately applying logical structures. Misinterpretations of quantifier symbols and formal argument patterns were identified as common errors.      Keywords: mathematical reasoning, truth valu, quantification.

Abstract

Mathematical learning needs to be given to all students starting from elementary school, so that students practice how to think in drawing conclusions and be able to express their opinions with the beliefs and honesty that comes from someone. But when learning mathematics the problem that often arises is a lack of motivation. Baroody (1993) says that reasoning is an important tool in learning mathematics to produce ideas so students can understand mathematical concepts correctly. Efforts made by teachers to improve thinking skills and motivation in learning mathematics are through the Adobe Flash CS 5.0 game which is expected to provide new and enjoyable experiences for teachers and students. In addition to more varied learning, students can be motivated to learn and enjoy what they learn.

Abstract

Number sense can vary from person to person, number sense variations can be caused by learning experiences of mathematics, mathematical abilities, and cognitive styles. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to determine the number sense profile of grade V SD students in terms of the field-dependent and field-independent cognitive styles on fraction material. So the research begins by giving a math ability test, cognitive style test, and number sense test. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students of SDN Ngagel Rejo V Surabaya with field-dependent and field-independent styles with equivalent math abilities. Data collection was continued with the number sense test, and interviews and checks using time triangulation. The results showed that students with a field-independent cognitive style tended to use logical reasoning and actively processed information and were able to simplify complex problems well. They also have a high of number sense so that they can answer and describe answers based on their analytical skills. For example, when comparing the concept of numbers, they can show that there is another fraction or decimal between two fractions or decimals. Whereas students in the field-dependent cognitive style only compare the values of the two fractions or decimals, which means they have difficulty separating and distinguishing objects. simple of complex objects. They also tend to do conventional learning such as doing multiplication using a pencil and writing on paper and cannot analyze a thing or question with an estimate or approach. Therefore, students' cognitive styles must be learned and aligned with existing teaching strategies in several schools. Teaching adjustments that are in line with students' cognitive styles are needed to improve student performance.
