Abstract

Temuan kasus tuberkulosis setiap tahun terus mengalami peningkatan di Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Data Dinas kesehatan (Dinkes) Kabupaten Aceh Utara, mencatat kasus tuberkulosis pada tahun 2019 sebanyak 901 kasus dan tahun 2020 mencapai 986 kasus, terjadi peningkatan jumlah kasus sekitar 9,1%. Berdasarkan distribusi kasus tuberkulosis di Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Kecamatan Lhoksukon merupakan wilayah dengan temuan kasus tertinggi dan Desa Trieng Pantang merupakan salah satu desa dengan suspect kasus tuberkulosis terbanyak. Masyarakat Desa Trieng Pantang sebagian besar dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi yang rendah, tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku hidup bersih sehat (PHBS) yang buruk. Sehingga dapat memicu tinggi angka kejadian TB dan rendahnya angka keberhasilan pengobatan. Oleh karena itu, pada kegiatan pengabdian ini akan dilakukan pembinaan terhadap kader posyandu sebagai mitra yang akan dididik untuk membantu tenaga kesehatan dalam upaya penanggulangan TB melalui program TOSS TB. Mekanisme pelaksanaan berupa mempersiapkan kader dengan memberikan edukasi tentang program tuberkulosis, penyamaan persepsi, pembentukan komitmen, pengaturan peran, komunikasi intensif, melakukan aksi, monitoring dan evaluasi untuk menjalin dan mengetahui perkembangan kemitraan dalam melaksanakan program tuberkulosis. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terbentuknya kader yang terlibat dalam program TOSS TB, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan Kader Posyandu tentang tuberkulosis setalah diberikan edukasi. Pada evaluasi akhir didapatkan bahwa kader sudah mulai melaksanakan perannya secara aktif dalam program TOSS TB dengan berdampak terhadap temuan kasus baru TB, meningkatnya angka keberhasilan pengobatan di Desa Trieng Pantang. Adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan dalam jangka panjang mampu mengeliminasi TB di tingkat Desa.

Abstract

Drinking water is a very important component in everyday life. Refill Drinking Water Depot (DAMIU) is a business that produces drinking water so that it can be consumed directly by the public. The quality of refill drinking water must be considered because it can be contaminated by heavy metals from the environment or due to negligence of human activities. Excessive iron (Fe) in drinking water can be toxic and endanger health. Excess Fe intake for a long time will result in secondary hemochromatosis and dental caries. This study was conducted to determine the content and average levels of Fe contained in 51 samples of DAMIU in Lhokseumawe City. This type of research is descriptive laboratory. The sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling. Fe levels were measured using Atomic Absorption Specthrophotometry through the SSA-Flame method and the results were based on the PERMENKES RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 with the provision that Fe content should not exceed 0.3 mg/L. The results of this study indicate that the average Fe level in refill drinking water depots in Lhokseumawe City is 0.243 mg/L which is still below the predetermined threshold, but from 51 samples, 16 samples exceeded the threshold and 35 samples did not exceed the threshold. This study can be concluded that there are 31% of the tested drinking water samples have Fe levels that exceed the specified threshold.

Abstract

Chicken meat is a product from poultry farming which is very important for meeting food needs. Foods that are often the cause of S. aureus poisoning include meat, meat products, and poultry. This study aims to determine the quality of broiler meat as seen from the contamination and level of S. aureus bacteria contamination. The research design is a descriptive laboratory test, using the Total Plate Count (TPC) method listed in SNI 2897:2008, carried out at the Fundamental Science Lab. The research sample was broiler chicken as many as 11 samples from RPA in the traditional market of Lhokseumawe city. The examination started with culturing in BPA media, followed by qualitative tests (identification) including Gram staining, coagulase test, and quantitative test (TPC), namely counting S. aureus colonies on BPA media. The results showed that from 11 samples, no growth characteristics of S. aureus were found. The conclusion is that the broiler meat from the Chicken Slaughterhouse (RPA) located in the traditional market of Lhokseumawe city which was tested met the requirements set by SNI regarding S. aureus bacterial contamination.

Abstract

Stunting is a big problem in Aceh Province, especially North Aceh. Where North Aceh became one of the districts that became the locus of stunting. From 40,762 children under five in 2021 in North Aceh, the number of stunting reached 5,845 people. This figure reaches 45 percent of the total toddlers. West Reuleut is one of the villages in Muara Batu District which has a fluctuating stunting rate from year to year. Generally the incidence of stunting occurs due to poor parenting, mother's knowledge about how to do proper parenting is still very limited. The mechanism for implementing this service is by providing health promotion interventions to pregnant women and mothers with toddlers regarding the prevention of stunting since the first 1000 days of life. The implementation of the educational intervention was carried out by counseling using audio-visual media to pregnant women and mothers of toddlers as well as the practice of compiling menus for toddlers, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers as well as monitoring and evaluation to establish relationships and find out the development of partnerships in implementing stunting prevention in the village of West Reuleut. After the end of this service activity, it was concluded that there was an increase in knowledge of pregnant women and mothers of children under five about stunting prevention efforts since the first 1000 days of life. Based on statistical tests, it shows that the health promotion interventions provided have an influence in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women and mothers of children under five. This increase in knowledge is expected to reduce the incidence of stunting, especially in the village of West Reuleut.
