Abstract

The research aims to develop an interactive electronic module based on Creative Problem Solving (CPS) about motion and force that is oriented towards improving students’ motivation and learning outcomes. The development uses the Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, material design, validation, and practicality testing. The developed e-module contains various interactive features such as learning videos, reflection links, and contextual problem-solving activities that integrate the steps of CPS, namely understanding the problem, generating ideas, planning action, and implementing the solution. The results of validation by experts stated that the e-module is included in the very valid category, both in terms of content, pedagogy, appearance, language, and graphics, all of which are in the very valid category. Practical tests conducted by teachers and students proved that the e-module is included in the very practical category, is easy to use, and attractive for users. These findings indicate that the developed interactive e-module based on CPS is suitable for use in science learning to foster motivation and support the improvement of students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in the advancement of science and technology in society. However, many teachers still face obstacles in utilizing mobile devices as interactive learning media, particularly in terms of understanding how to use the media and developing operational skills. This condition limits the variety of learning activities that can be presented in the classroom and reduces the optimal use of technology. This community service program was carried out through training involving 80 teachers from the MGMP IPA Pekanbaru City, focusing on the planning, implementation, and assessment of interactive media–based learning. The training was designed to provide teachers with hands-on experience in operating devices, becoming familiar with essential features, and integrating them into the teaching and learning process. This activity is expected to improve teachers’ understanding and skills in utilizing educational technology, thereby enabling them to be more proficient in using interactive media in the classroom. Consequently, teachers will be better prepared to face the challenges of technological development and contribute to improving the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in creativity ability of grade 8 students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) after being given learning using a project-based learning (PjBL) model assisted by local wisdom. The research conducted was pre-experiment with a one-shot case study design. This research was carried out at MTs with class VIII research subjects totaling 31 students. Data collection techniques use observation sheets of student creativity. The data analysis carried out is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that there was an increase in creativity after being given the application of the Project Based Learning model assisted by local wisdom in grade VIII.1 students. This is evidenced by the results of the observation sheet that the creativity of students at each meeting has increased, namely in the first meeting the observation results were 58% in the creative enough category, the observation results of the second meeting 78% in the creative category, the observation results of the third meeting 88% in the very creative category and the observation results of the fourth meeting 97% in the very creative category. From the data obtained, it can be seen that at each meeting, the level of creativity of grade 8 MTs students always increases after using a project-based learning model assisted by local wisdom, especially on vibration and wave materials. The project-based learning model can also be used in other more interesting lessons to obtain better results.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to apply the guided inquiry learning model to improve the ability of psychomotor skills and learning interests of grade X students of TKPI SMKN Fisheries Riau Province. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research Physics model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle includes stages of planning, action and observation, as well as reflection. In cycle I, students learn about temperature and heat, and cycle II, students learn about dynamic electricity. Data collection techniques include observation sheets of teacher and student activities, performance tests, and interest questionnaires. The subjects of this study were grade X TKPI students, totaling 16 male students. The data were analyzed in descriptive, qualitative and quantitative manners. Observations are made by peers to observe the implementation of teacher and student activities in accordance with the learning steps in RPP. Performance tests are carried out at the end of each cycle. Filling out the learning interest questionnaire at the end of cycle I and cycle II. The results of research on how to apply the guided inquiry method are by the way the teacher makes an orientation of a problem that will be formulated by students to attract students' attention, then involves students directly in making hypotheses, conducting experiments, analyzing data to train students' psychomotor skills, so that students are happy in making conclusions for the theories they get. The research data showed that teacher activities and student activities were carried out according to the RPP, with very good criteria, students' psychomotor skills at the level of imitation, manipulation and precision trained in each learning meeting, increased by 25%, from 69% classical completeness to 94%, and students' interest in learning physics after applying the guided inquiry learning model increased by 16% from 65% with sufficient criteria to 81% with very good criteria. Students have a feeling of pleasure being actively involved in the learning process, so they are interested and more attentive to learning.
