Abstract

Instagram menjadi salah satu platform yang banyak digunakan dalam kegiatan promosi. Permasalahan utama yang dialami oleh UMKM Semir Ban Tidar Silicon dan NMAX CarWash ini adalah belum memiliki akun Instagram untuk mempromosikan produk jualannya. Sehingga, target market yang dituju belum menyebar ke seluruh Indonesia. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini  yaitu untuk membantu membuatkan akun Instagram agar bisa mempromosikan produk UMKM melalui katalog online di sosial media. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu ada beberapa tahap diantaranya tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pengawasan, dan juga tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini kedua UMKM sudah memiliki akun media sosial Instagram yang dilengkapi dengan postingan katalog online. Akun Instagram @semirban_silicon sudah memiliki 31 pengikut dan akun Instagram @nmax.carwash masih memiliki 6 pengikut. Analisis data untuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini hanya diambil melalui insight Instagram dari akun @nmax.carwash dan @semirban_silicon. Kesimpulannya yaitu pelaku usaha UMKM sekarang sudah memiliki akun Instagram sebagai media untuk melakukan promosi dan diharapkan semoga kedepannya pelaku usaha UMKM bisa terus konsisten dalam mengunggah produk yang dijualnya di Instagram.

Abstract

As a form of mass media and new media, film often serves as a medium to convey messages and meanings to audiences. The movie *Pengabdi Setan 2: Communion* is one such medium used to deliver messages, particularly related to female gender stereotypes as portrayed by the character Tari Daryati. This study aims to analyze how the audience receives these messages through reception analysis, which examines various interpretations from different audiences. Five informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques, ensuring diverse backgrounds for this study. Based on the analysis, one informant occupied the Hegemonic-Dominant position, two were in the Negotiated position, and the remaining two were in the Oppositional position. The limitations of this study include the small and homogeneous sample size and the time constraints, which affected the depth of analysis. The researcher recommends that future studies expand the number and diversity of informants to achieve more representative results, as well as incorporate other research methods, such as netnography, to enrich the data and analysis. This would allow subsequent research to provide a deeper understanding of how gender messages in films are received by different audiences and offer insights for further studies in this field.

Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki keberadaan perundungan dalam film "The Karate Kid," dengan menekankan pada perundungan fisik terhadap protagonis, Dre. Menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengkhususkan pada adegan-adegan tertentu menggunakan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes untuk mendekode simbol dan tanda-tanda agresi. Observasi dilakukan secara teliti di berbagai adegan, mengungkapkan pola berulang dari perundungan fisik. Temuan ini menekankan implikasi yang signifikan untuk memahami penggambaran perundungan dalam media populer dan dampak potensialnya terhadap persepsi audiens mengenai kekerasan dan korban. Analisis ini tidak hanya menyoroti isu agresi dalam film yang berpusat pada pemuda tetapi juga memanggil evaluasi kritis tentang bagaimana tema-tema tersebut mempengaruhi interpretasi dan perilaku penonton.

Abstract

Live streaming telah menjadi media belanja online yang populer, memfasilitasi komunikasi real-time antara streamer dan penonton. Fitur live TikTok banyak digunakan oleh perusahaan untuk mempromosikan produk dan meningkatkan penjualan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana produk BIOAQUA memanfaatkan live streaming TikTok untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan merek dan meningkatkan penjualan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa live streaming secara signifikan meningkatkan penjualan dan pengetahuan merek dengan mendorong interaksi langsung dan hubungan emosional dengan pemirsa. Temuan ini menyoroti live streaming sebagai alat yang ampuh dalam strategi pemasaran digital untuk e-commerce.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggali motif yang mendorong pengguna Bumble di era media baru melalui pendekatan fenomenologi kualitatif, menganalisis percakapan pengguna dan melakukan wawancara. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan motivasi yang beragam, termasuk pencarian persahabatan dan fitur chatting unik yang diprakarsai oleh gender yang mempengaruhi dinamika interaksi. Temuan ini menawarkan wawasan berharga tentang budaya kencan online kontemporer dan menginformasikan desain platform masa depan, mendorong koneksi digital yang bermakna.

Abstract

Social media has become a dominant factor in shaping the political behaviour of Generation Z, especially in the 2024 Presidential Election. This study aims to analyze the influence of information exposure, news content, candidate electability, and social media on the behaviour of Generation Z voters. With an explanatory quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires filled out by 160 University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo students, using the multistage cluster random sampling method. The research variables were measured using a Likert scale and tested using multiple linear regression based on SPSS 25. The study results showed that, partially, news content, candidate electability, and social media significantly influenced the behaviour of Generation Z voters, with the most significant contribution coming from social media (30.7%). In contrast, information exposure did not have a significant influence. Simultaneously, the four variables contributed 55.2% to voter behaviour. The study also found that although Generation Z actively uses social media, they tend to be sceptical of political information. In conclusion, social media, candidate electability, and news content are the main factors that influence Generation Z's political behaviour. Therefore, designing a creative and fact-based social media campaign strategy is essential to increase healthy political participation.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pertumbuhan dan perekonomian suatu negara. Pada era digital saat ini, akses internet yang luas memberikan dampak positif bagi para pelaku UMKM. Kehadiran media online memungkinkan penyebaran informasi produk dan mempermudah konsumen dalam melakukan transaksi secara online. Di Desa Sugihwaras, terdapat salah satu UMKM yang dikenal sebagai Nekiyuuu. Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh UMKM ini adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan pemilik dalam penggunaan aplikasi Shopee serta tidak memiliki logo. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada pelatihan penggunaan dan pembuatan konten di Shopee sebagai media promosi. Program ini terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu survei, wawancara, pengambilan foto produk, dan pengambilan video. Langkah-langkah ini diharapkan dapat memperluas jangkauan produk yang dihasilkan oleh UMKM tersebut.

Abstract

The whole world knows that there has been a pandemic phenomenon for 2 years in all countries including Indonesia, this has made some people's habits change, including in buying a product or shopping. The existence of social media is now not only used as a means of entertainment, but as a modern marketing tool used by many businesses to reach buyers on a large scale. This study aims to analyze what Social Commerce Strategy is carried out by PT. Semoga Berkah Sukses Group or more familiarly known as 109 Pillow Official through the Tik Tok Live feature to increase sales. This study uses a qualitative method approach with an analytical descriptive model. Data collection was carried out through observation, documentation studies and interviews with 109 Pillow owners and their Live Hosts. The results of this study indicate that consistently live streaming by implementing several strategies optimally is the biggest cause of increased sales.

Abstract

Mechanic Haircut micro business is a small business with the advantage of selling excellent services but is not yet well-known by many people. This service aimed to assist in creating creative promotional content to attract more customers by utilizing Instagram and TikTok applications. The method used in the marketing promotion consisted of 3 stages, namely observation stage, training assistance, and presentation. The community service obtained a positive result in which the activities carried out enabled the micro business owners to utilize Instagram and TikTok media as free promotional media to increase their customers. Using image editing apps and feeds containing edited images could provide recommendations for the target audience so they would be interested in becoming customers. After the service activities were carried out with good dedication and were successful in assisting Mechanic Haircut micro business, the increase in customers could be observed every day.

General Background: The Russia-Ukraine conflict has emerged as a pivotal global issue, significantly reshaping the geopolitical landscape. Specific Background: This study examines how mass media outlets, particularly BBC Indonesia and CNN Indonesia, frame their coverage of the conflict, emphasizing the role of media narratives in public perception. Knowledge Gap: While existing research highlights media influence in conflict reporting, there is limited comparative analysis focusing on Indonesian media and their unique framing techniques. Aims: The research aims to explore the differences in narrative construction and coverage strategies employed by BBC Indonesia and CNN Indonesia regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Results: Through a systematic review of news reports, the findings reveal distinct approaches in the two media outlets, characterized by variations in perspective, source selection, and information presentation styles, despite a shared commitment to accuracy. Novelty: This study contributes new insights into the comparative framing of international conflicts by Indonesian media, underscoring the importance of contextual factors in shaping news narratives.
