Abstract

The Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of Lumajang has the task of carrying out examinations on Civil Servants such as competency exams and requesting test applications called Web-based Computer Assisted Assistance Test (CAT) with displays that can be used for the current examination process. CAT BKD that is suitable for the user's purpose using the Goal-Directed Design method. In implementing the Goal-Directed Design method there are 6 stages, the first stage is research to get the needs of the application from stakeholders and 6 users. Stage modeling that produces persona which contains 6 variables from CAT application users, namely examinees and exam committee. Stages of the requirement definition that produce CAT applications and information structures from the CAT application. Stages design framework that produces the results of designing a CAT application using wireframe. Stage design improvements that produce a hi-fi prototype. And the support design stages that produce the analysis of the results of the prototype testing qualitatively are user testing and quantitative, namely the experience of the user questionnaire (UEQ). The results of UEQ on the exam participants' interface yielded very good categories on the scale of attraction, efficiency, stimulation, and novelty and gained categories both on the scale of perspicuity and dependability. While the appearance of the exam committee produced a excellent category on the sixth scale of UEQ. From these results it can be concluded that the CAT BKD application is good for the examinee and the exam committee providing a perception that is good for the user.

Abstract

HAGO is a miniature social game app made up of various fun and challenging types of games. Since its launch at the playstore on March 23, 2018, few months have become the number one on the "top free apps" playstore. This success is not far from the user experience provided by hago itself. But a system must have some problems or constraints found in particular the new release system. To find those issues needed to hold an evaluation especially in the usability section. The enhanced cognitive walkthrough is one of the usability evaluations based on the user experience. This method would give the scenario a series of tasks to be worked on and 10 questions about the assignment to the evaluation. Six expert examiners, 2 expert, and 2 novice. The evaluation of the hago application shows most troubling problems in hidden (h) type of hidden (h) problems in the main functions of the social application mobile hago. The average issues issues arise in the problem of seriousness and 3 and affect the major function of hago applications. Thus, hago's applications are quite easy for both experienced and new visitors. But new users take quite a while to understand this application

Abstract

Lodging is a common thing that is needed by the community at this time, Griya Brawijaya is one of the Universitas Brawijaya business units which is also engaged in lodging services. In the current business process, there are some problems that affect consumer satisfaction and also Griya Brawijaya lodging company, such as the service process on orders that are still not optimal because the data collection system is not integrated so there is duplicated data, and also the checkout process rooms that are often late, then make consumers complain directly to the receptionist, this also happens because of a service mismatch with the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Therefore, in solving the problem requires analysis and evaluation, which is focused on business processes in order to improve and also maximize business processes at this time to make improvements to overcome any existing problems. So it takes business process modeling using BPMN (Business Process Modeling and Notation) then analyzes and evaluates the source of the problem using the RCA method (Root Cause Analysis) then makes improvements using the BPI (Business Process Improvement) method. Then simulations are carried out to find out the comparison between business processes that are running now (As-Is) with an improved business process (To-Be) so that any problems that exist at Griya Brawijaya lodging can be resolved.

Abstract

Mantuls.com is a web-based application that serves to help Event Hunter to get competition information easily, up to date, and with a choice of well-curated information. The Goal Directed Design method can produce an application design that is suitable for the user's goals. In applying the Goal Directed Design (GDD) method, it has six stages, the first stage is research to get problems and solutions that are desired by users and stakeholders. The second stage is modeling that produces persona and describes the user or stakeholder, the third stage is the requirement that will produce the needs of the user, the fourth stage is a framework that produces a designed interface framework, then the fifth stage is a refinement that will produce high fidelity prototypes it is ready to be tested, and the last stage is support that performs testing and analysis of test results on the prototype that has been made. The final evaluation here uses the System Usability Scale (SUS) Questionnaire. After developing using the Goal-Directed Design (GDD) method. The average value of the value of the System Usability Scale is obtained (value), with Acceptability values ​​above 73 and also grade scales with category b, and Adjective Rating with Excellent and Percentile Rank categories categorized as group A.

Abstract

One of the difficult material at the senior high school is the Reaction Rate, because students need to understand the factors that affect the Reaction Rate that are difficult if only explained verbally without being followed by practice. The problem is demonstrate the affect of the Reaction Rate requires time and effort. Learning books are considered to be lacking in representing factors of the reaction rate effectively. The teacher also has difficulty knowing the gap in understanding between students. Based on these problems, a learning media application is needed that can help teachers demonstrate the Reaction Rate material, know the level of understanding of students, are easily accessible and attract students' interest in learning. The methodology in this research uses Extreme Programming (XP) with the aim of covering all needs and changes in user needs. The design of the application is object oriented using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.. The process of implementing the application is done using the CodeIgniter framework. Furthermore, the developed application was tested using the Basis-Path Testing and Compatibility Testing method to determine the level of successful implementation and User Acceptance Testing to determine user acceptance of the application. The results of the research indicate that the website-based Reaction Rate learning media application can accommodate needs and is easy to use by both teachers and students. Extreme Programming (XP) methodology is quite suitable to cover all needs, but for segmentation of learning media is less suitable because more changes occur in the user interface aspects.

Abstract

Setapak Teratour is a business company engaged in field of travel organizer that want a website to help them advertise their tour package, provide an easier way for prospective buyers to make transaction, and give prospective buyers a better way to communicate with Setapak Teratour's staff. One of the method that can be used in desinging a website is Human Centered Design (HCD) method. This method is a designing method that focuses on human factors in the process. The stages of this research is follow the stages in Human Centered Design, namely (1) understand and specify the context of use which produces list of stakeholders and their characteristic; (2) specify the user requirements that obtained by doing interview with 5 (five) respondents; (3) produce design solution; (4) evaluate the design solution by doing interview with 5 (five) respondent and generate 9 improvement suggestion for user interface, and (5) improve the design by reffering to improvement suggestion from evaluation process. The final results of this research is an improved website user interface design from the previous one and refers to the evaluation result from the respondents.

Abstract

Tanoto Scholars Association at Brawijaya University, asks for a good and easy to use website design for users in getting the information needed related to the scholarship program. So far, many users have had difficulty using the primary Tanoto Foundation website because they are structuring information and displays that are not appropriate. This study aims to produce TSA UB website design using the Goal-Directed Design (GDD) method which consists of six phases. Research phase, get the needs and needs desired by stakeholders and users with the results is statement of work. Modeling phase, produces user persona with seven variables, retrospective and prospective user journey. Requirements Phase, produce scenario contexts and adjust the needs of the website with the environment. Framework phase, create a web-based interface using wireframe. The refinement phase to perfects the interface framework in the form of high-fidelity prototype. The last is Support phase, conducting qualitative and quantitative testing with user testing techniques on six respondents and with the SUPR-Q questionnaire technique on 20 respondents were analyzed based on the scale of usability scale. The results of the SUPR-Q questionnaire provide aspects of usefulness, credibility, appearance and loyalty with all aspects valued at 75.81% (category C) which is good and acceptable so that it can be used on a website that is developed as a whole and can be accepted by respondents.

Abstract

Brawijaya Smart School Senior High Malang every months did performance assessments for their teachers and employees. However, there still some problems such as printing and distributing questionnaires is inefficient, requiring costs and energy. As well as not using particular system or method in processing the results of the questionnaire into values and graphics for monthly reports and determine the best teacher or employee. K-Means clustering is used to divide teachers and employees into groups based on value result from questionnaire. Furthermore, the Analytical Hierarchy Process used to rank the teachers and employees by using priority choices from various alternatives. Results of analysis using Elbow, SSE, Connectivity, Dunn Index, and Silhouette width, the optimal number of clusters is 2 and 3. Then the teachers and employees rankings are generated on each cluster along with overall rankings and per criteria. The Spearman correlation test results in data 1 is 0.771 and data 2 is 0.888 where both show a strong correlation. Scatter plots both show positive correlation. The dashboard system is generated in the form of a graphics of the number of teachers and employees, clusters and members of each cluster, and list of teachers and employees with the Usability Testing calculation using the System Usability Testing (SUS) method showing a value of 72, 5 which is an acceptable categories.

Abstract

Band Activity Unit of Brawijaya University (UAB UB) has a website that is used for publication media and disseminates information about work programs and information about UAB UB. The use of the UAB UB website is also to disseminate information about events organized by UAB UB starting form the scale on campus and nationally. The importance of increasing user experience on the website is by analyzing existing problems and generating recommendations that are useful for maintaining old user and adding new users so that information can be spread. The purpose of this research is to analyze and redesign UX UAB UB website to improve UX using Focus Group Disccusion and Extended Goal Question Metric. Focus Group Disccusion is used to analyze the problems that exist on the UAB UB website with 12 participants for 2 hours, then the result are entered into Extended Goal Question Metric method to determine rhat goals to look for and raise recommendations for improvement. As a result of the study it was found the positive increace in difference in the old design to the highest new design is the “Exciting” item.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive study designed to discuss the implications of learning habits, learning interests, and learning environments on the learning progress of Basic Class X programming in computer and network technology in SMK 5 Malang. Data collection uses a questionnaire methodology to obtain data related to study habits, learning interests, learning environment, and the use of documentation methods to determine students' learning performance. This study also uses a purposive methodology with a population of 80 students in Class X computer and network engineering from SMKN 5 Malang. The instrument tests were conducted by 32 students in Class XI computer and network technology. Multiple linear regression was used to analyse the data before being entered into the analysis step, the data was first tested using the analysis precondition test, and the results of the data were normalized, linear, and there was no heterokesdastisitas.This study found that (1) partially learning habits have a positive and significant impact on class X computer and network learning performance at Malang 5 Vocational High School, (2) partially learning interests have a negative and significant impact on basic programming skills, (3)Learning Achievements Have Class X Computer and Networking Technology at Malang Vocational Secondary School 5 Partly the learning environment is not significant, but it does have a positive impact on the learning performance of basic programming in Class X computer and network engineering at SMK 5 in Malang, (4) Simultaneity Learning interest, learning environment has an impact on the learning performance of basic programming in Class X of computer and network technology in SMK 5 Malang and is significant.
