Abstract

Banyaknya pengguna smartphone membuat perusahaan dibidang perbankan bersaing untuk menghadirkan layanan yang memudahkan pengguna dalam melakukan aktivitas perbankan dengan menggunakan layanan aplikasi mobile banking. Salah satu jenis aplikasi mobile banking yang ada adalah aplikasi JakOne Mobile yang dimiliki oleh Bank DKI dan aplikasi BCA Mobile yang dimiliki oleh Bank Central Asia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kedua aplikasi sebagai analisa pengalaman pengguna jangka panjang yang memiliki karakteristik dan proses bisnis yang sama dalam memudahkan pengguna dari sisi kegunaan juga pengalaman pengguna saat menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan analisis perbandingan user experience dengan skenario testing dan menggunakan user experience questionnaire (UEQ). Skenario testing dilakukan kepada 8 orang responden yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok pengguna aplikasi berdasarkan empat parameter yaitu task completed, error during task performance, time per completed task, number of clicks during task performance. User experience questionnaire (UEQ) memiliki 6 aspek skala pengukuran yaitu attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, novelty. Kuesioner tersebut dibagikan kepada 30 responden. Setelah melakukan pengujian responden diwawancara untuk mengetahui tanggapan dan permasalahan yang dialami selama melakukan pengujian skenario. Hasil dari pengujian skenario testing menunjukkan aplikasi Jakone Mobile lebih unggul pada parameter error during task performance, time per completed task, dan number of clicks during task performance. Sedangkan aplikasi BCA Mobile unggul pada parameter task completed. Hasil dari kuesioner UEQ menunjukkan aplikasi JakOne Mobile memiliki nilai yang lebih unggul pada aspek percpicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation. Sedangkan pada aspek attractiveness dan novelty aplikasi BCA Mobile memiliki nilai yang lebih unggul. Setelah data diolah dan dianalisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi JakOne Mobile memiliki pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik dari aplikasi BCA Mobile.

Abstract

Ruangguru is a technology-based company focused on education services that has more than 10 million users and manages more than 150 thousand teachers throughout Indonesia. Ruangguru has become the largest mobile learning application in Indonesia and can be well received by its users. But according to the results of a conducted survei, 86.5% of them had experienced problems when using the Ruangguru application. These problems are related to the ux honeycomb aspect. This study uses a quantitative data approach obtained from an online questionnaire distributed to Ruangguru users with the criteria of users aged 13-18 years. Then each aspect of the ux honeycomb is analyzed by the entropy weighting method. Entropy is weighted by several stages. Stages carried out include normalizing data, calculating the number of normalized data values, calculating entropy values, and calculating entropy weights. The results of this study are sequences of aspects that affect user experience. The order of aspects of the highest value is usable, findable, useful, accessible, credible, and desirable. Based on this sequence, respondents considered that the desirable aspect was the aspect with the lowest value. The low aspect is because Ruangguru has not been able to bind emotional closeness with its users.This lack of emotional closeness occurs because community functions that can interact with each other in Ruangguru have not yet been built. To improve it, discussion services can be made between users while watching learning videos.

Abstract

The Department of Culture and Tourism (DISBUDPAR) of Malang City has developed a city tourism application based on the Android system, called Malang Menyapa. Malang Menyapa aims to provide a means to market the cultural and tourism potential of Malang City Based on interview results from staff members of DISBUDPAR of Malang City, there were a few complaints from users regarding the usability aspect, which was satisfaction. An evaluation was required on the usability aspect of the Malang Menyapa application to ease the user in using the user interface, therefore preventing the user from uninstalling the Malang Menyapa application and the main goal of the development of the Malang Menyapa application can be achieved. One of the few methods that can be used to evaluate usability is Heuristic evaluation. Heuristic evaluations involves experts as evaluators to assess whether a design does not comply with the 9 usability principles which were proposed by Monroy. Each problem discovered were giving a severity score rating from a scale of 1-5. The Heuristic evaluation was conducted into two phases. The Evaluators who participated in this research were evaluators who have an understanding of usability. Thirty-nine usability problems were discovered in the first phase of the evaluation. The improvements which were done consisted of 2 phases, which were wireframe designing and hi-fi prototype. The second phase of the evaluation was conducted on the issues discovered in the first phase, the amount of discovered problems in the second phase decreased to 4 usability issues.

Abstract

Qlue is a smart city application on mobile devices, owned by PT. Qlue Performa Indonesia, in collaboration with the city government to handle public complaints. The main purpose of Qlue is as a bridge between the citizens and the city government to deliver public complaints about the surrounding environment. Based on preliminary observations, there are several problems related to the interface of Qlue that may impact the user experience. If the application does not provide a good user experience, users may leave the application and not use it again. User experience analysis aims to produce recommendations for improvements that can improve user experience of Qlue. By mapping the user journey, the author will gain insights of things that are interesting on Qlue, things that cause the respondents to experience difficulties, along with recommendations submitted by the respondent. Data needed for user experience analysis was collected through observation and interviews with respondents. Based on the results of the analysis, the most problematic features on Qlue are public forum, find friends, Street View, and navigation to page of details of neighborhood. The difficulties experienced by respondents when they want to use these features are difficult to find the location of features. There are several other difficulties experienced by respondents caused by misuse of labels and icons, as well as a lack of guidance. Recommendations for improvements are made in the form of design illustrations on the page, navigation, and icons that have problems.

Abstract

MASH Classroom is a smart class technology implemented by FILKOM UB to present multimedia-based teaching media. But in implementation, it still has problems related to the successful implementation according to FILKOM UB students. Therefore it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of MASH Class to obtain findings and recommendations to increase the level of successful implementation. Evaluation was carried out using six variables contained in Delone and Mclean Model which included system quality, information quality, service quality, system usage, user satisfaction, and net benefits. The study used a quantitative method with descriptive statistical analysis method with the involvement of 105 respondents. Data obtained from this study was obtained from the distribution of online questionnaires. The results of system quality variable is 54.33%, information quality is 59.83%, service quality is 70.94%, system use is 60.17%, user satisfaction is 55.50%, and net benefit is 57.37% . From the results obtained from the contribution to improve the success of the implementation of the MASH Classroom system including the application of interactive systems that can support interaction in the implementation of learning in different classes, making instruction manuals that provide information regarding system usage, as well as standardization and service customization provided at students related to system implementation, as well as making learning designs.

Abstract

Tapp Market is a location-based e-commerce mobile application that provides online purchases with cash easily and reliably. As of January 10th, 2019, Tapp Market e-commerce mobile application has been downloaded 50,000 times and received 2,000 reviews. However, Tapp Market e-commerce mobile application only gets a total rating 3.2 out of 5.0. The purpose of this research is to map the problems from every aspect offered, each contributing to improvements. UX Honeycomb is used as a parameter to measure user experience from Tapp Market e-commerce mobile application. Aspects which measured in this research are credible, valuable, useful, and usable. The number of samples used are 60 respondents. As requirement, respondents are users who have used or new to using Tapp Market e-commerce mobile application. The data collection method used is questionnaire transferred in the form of online and offline. The data obtained consisted of quantitative and qualitative data (triangulation). Data analysis was performed using simple descriptive statistical formula to find the average value and standard deviation. The results of the analysis show the percentage score average from credible aspect is 64.45% with good category, the percentage score average from valuable aspect is 69.27% ​​with good category, the percentage score average from useful aspect is 77.19% with good category, and percentage score average from usable aspect is 64.93% with good category. Based on the Mobile Principles of the Retail Application and Site, recommendations are given in the form of improvements to each indicator. Indicators that need to be improved on credible aspect are indicators with codes CR1, CR2, CR3, and CR4. Indicators that need to be improved on valuable aspect are indicators with codes VL1, VL2, and VL4. Indicators that need to be improved on useful aspect are indicators with codes UE1 and UE3. Indicators that need to be improved on usable aspect are indicators with codes UA2, UA4, and UA6.

Abstract

Melijo is an application designed for farmers to expand the market sector of crops directly to end consumers such as restaurants or catering. However, farmers' smartphone ownership rates are still low compared to other jobs which causes farmers to be less accustomed to using smartphones. This study aims to design the user experience of the Melijo application so that it can produce application designs that have good usability and user experience values ​​for farmers and end consumers. the approach used to design is Human-Centered Design. It starts with analyzing the use context, analyzing user needs, and making a design solution. Solution design evaluation was carried out by conducting usability testing to 5 users who obtained a value of 93.33% on aspects of effectiveness, 91.26% on aspects of efficiency, and 86 aspects of satisfaction for farmers. Whereas for the final consumer obtained a value of 94.28% in the aspect of effectiveness, 91.15% in the aspect of efficiency, and 76.4 aspects of satisfaction. The User Experience Questionnaire conducted at 20 users showed that the solution design for farmers obtained the "Good" category on Efficiency, Stimulation, and Novelty aspects. As well as the category "Above Average" in the aspects of Attractiveness, Perspicuity, and Dependability. While the design solutions for end consumers get the category "Good" in the aspects of Attractiveness, Efficiency, Stimulation, and Novelty. As well as the "Above Average" category on the Perpicuity and Dependability aspects. The test results show that the design of the solution is positive because the value obtained is above the average value.

Abstract

Malang Area LKAI (Investment Budget Worksheet) application is a web based application that can be used by employees in PT. PLN (Persero) Malang Area planning sector to recapitulate data from field surveys related network reinforcement and suppression of distribution programs. Based on the results of interviews conducted LKAI application, problems were found that there were no instructions on how to fill data on the location description modal box, there was no detailed info on the user being logged in, and the size of the job blank is small. The evaluation was conducted to find usability problems using the Cognitive Walkthrough and Heuristic Evaluation methods. In this evaluation involving 3 evaluator subject matter and 3 evaluator usability expert. The evaluation using Cognitive Walkthrough method found 205 usability problems which were then normalized to 22 problems, while 64% of all problems were also found in Heuristic Evaluations. While Heuristic Evaluation method found 20 usability problems, while usability heuristic with the highest number of problems was H-5 (Error prevention) with 5 findings or 25% of the all problems finding. The evaluation results, 30 prototype interface improvements based on the 10 guideline of usability heuristic principles. Then validation on the prototype using the system usability scale obtained a score of 80.83 with the acceptability level depending on the acceptable category, grade scale was in grade B, adjective ranking depends on the excellent category and percentile rank in grade A.

Abstract

Brawijaya University Televisi or commonly abbreviated as UBTV is an official campus-based community television owned by Universitas Brawijaya Malang. To facilitate the dissemination of live broadcasts, UBTV creates a mobile application that can be used in all platforms. This mobile application has been created by the developer but has not yet been released and has never passed usability evaluation. So that the benefits of UBTV can be achieved, then by conducting usability evaluation can allow the user's goals to be as expected. This research uses 2 evaluation methods, namely heuristic evaluation and usability testing. Heuristic evaluation is used to explore problems based on 4 expert evaluators. From the heuristic evaluation it produces 20 problems consisting of 16 interface problems and 4 functional problems. After heuristic evaluation, then evaluation with usability testing using 3 aspects, namely learnability, efficiency and satisfaction. Usability testing evaluation is done twice, namely the old design and new design. From the old design to the new design experiencing an increase in the learnability aspect of 0.2, it is easier to use on new designs, the efficiency aspect is 61.7% and aspect satisfaction is 63.1%.

Abstract

Simpel Arema application (Sistem Monitoring Pelanggan Area Malang) is a web-based application developed by PT. PLN (Persero) Malang Area. Application is used to monitor customer data of PT. PLN (Persero) in Malang Regency. Based on the results of interview on the System Planning Supervisor, the application interface problems were found. This application has also never been evaluated before because it is still under development. Based on these problems, it is necessary to evaluate the Simplified Arema application specifically on the usability aspect. This evaluation was carried out using the Cognitive Walkhthrough method and Heuristic Evaluation, where evaluation was carried out by 3 subject matter experts, namely Malang Area PLN employees and 3 usability experts. The Cognitive Walkthrough evaluation results in the stage where usability problems are found in Simple Arema. While Heuristic Evaluation produces problems based on 10 heuristic principles and their severity. After evaluation, there were a total of 99 problems found in the Cognitive Walkthrough where 80% of the problems were found in Heuristic Evaluation too. While Heuristic Evaluation found 17 heuristic problems with the most problems being H-8 (Aestetic and minimalist design) with 23% of all Heuristic Evaluation problems. Based on the results of the evaluation, 19 recommendations for improvement were given, namely 17 improved interfaces and 2 system improvements. Based on recommendations for interface improvements, a prototype for Simple Arema interface was made. Then validation of the Simplified Arema interface repair prototype using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire to find out whether the improved Arema Simple interface is correct. Based on the results of the validation, the SUS score was obtained with a value of 83.3 and got the Acceptability Ranges level in the Acceptable category, Grade Scale in category B, Adjective in the Excellent category, and Percentile Rank at 80 - 90%.
