Abstract

Semangka merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang banyak diminati karena rasanya manis,  banyak mengandung air dan bernilai gizi tinggi. Selain itu, semangka juga memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Seiring dengan meningkatkanya permintaan akan semangka, sehingga petani berupaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya dengan cara pemupukan. Salah satu pupuk makro yang berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas buah semangka adalah Kalium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Kalium dalam bentuk KCl dengan berbagai dosis terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil semangka. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Desa Sumbersari Kecamatan Sumbersari Kab Jember dengan menggunakan RAL 1 faktor yaitu dosis KCl: 0 gram KCL/Tanaman, 35 gram KCL/Tanaman,  70 gram KCL/Tanaman dan 105 gram KCL/Tanaman yang dilakukan 5 kali pengulangan. Hasil pengamatan dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan sidik ragam (annova) pada taraf 5% dan jika terdapat perbedaan nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda duncan (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian KCl dapat meningkatkan berat segar dan berat kering tanaman; meningkatkan kemanisan dan masa simpan buah. Pemebrian KCl 105 gram/tanaman memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasi tanaman semangka.

Abstract

Salah satu sumber pendapatan asli daerah kabupaten Jember adalah Perusahaan Daerah Perkebunan (PDP) Kahyangan Jember. Kopi merupakan salah satu usaha inti dari PDP Kahyangan Jember yang memiliki budidaya lahan terluas yaitu 525,28 hektar dengan tiga kebun induk yang digunakan sebagai pemasok bahan baku kopi sangrai atau bubuk. Unit Usaha Lain PDP Kahyangan Jember bertugas untuk pengolahan kopi hingga pengemasan. Pada unit tersebut terdapat permasalahan dimana permintaan pasar rendah, produktivitas menurun yang disebabkan seluruh pekerjaan hanya dilakukan oleh tiga tenaga kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tingkat produktivitas tenaga kerja selama tiga bulan pada Unit Usaha Lain PDP Kahyangan. Metode Pengukuran Produktivitas Parsial dipilih untuk menghitung tingkat produktivitas. Diagram fishbone atau sebab akibat digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi penurunan produktivitas. Pada penelitian ini dihasilkan bahwa pada bulan November, tingkat produktivitas kurang dengan nilai 31,82%. Penyebab nilai tersebut mengalami penurunan dikarenakan faktor tenaga kerja yang kurang disiplin, tidak adanya SOP dan kebijakan yang jelas, mesin sering mengalami kerusakan, serta faktor lingkungan.

Abstract

Club Roppang Toast Business is a business in the agro-industry sector located on Jalan Srikoyo, Patrang District, Jember Regency, East Java. This business produces toast with various flavors such as sweetened condensed milk, butter, sugar, oreo, chocolate, beng beng, milo, jasuke, honey, choco mozz, cheese, smoked beef. The purpose of this study is to determine the right marketing strategy to be used by the Club Roppang business in order to compete and develop in the future. The method used in this study is the SWOT and QSPM methods, so that several strategic results can be obtained, including (1) Improving good service and maintaining product quality so that consumers remain loyal (2) Adjusting the attractiveness of the Roppang club with changes in lifestyle and as the population increases (3) Increasing the capital used to be able to meet the purchase of raw materials so that it can increase people's purchasing power (4) Carrying out modern recording so that the purchase of raw materials is more efficient so that it can compete with similar products (5) Re-adjusting the prices that have been set with the increasing population so that it increases consumer loyalty (6) Improving less efficient production equipment with the development of technology so that it can adjust to changes in people's lifestyles (7) Competing on price by adjusting the price of raw materials so that it can increase people's purchasing power (8) Optimizing less strategic locations by utilizing promotional media so that it can compete with similar products. Of the eight strategies, the most important results were obtained, namely carrying out a strategy to increase the capital used to be able to meet the purchase of raw materials so that it can increase people's purchasing power.

Abstract

UD Berkah Jaya is one of the small company located in Jember Regency, precisely in the village of Baratan, Patrang District. The pandemic conditions in early 2020 made UD Barokah's efforts in producing incense to stop because it could not send its products to the island of Bali. The business owner has a plan to replace the incense production into kampung chicken feed, but the owner does not have the ability to make animal feed, so he needs training and assistance from experts from the Jember State Polytechnic to make animal feed. This service program will be carried out by providing assistance in the manufacture and production of kampung chicken feed. It is hoped that this activity will increase the knowledge and skills of UD Berkah Jaya to be able to produce kampung chicken feed independently. The implementation of this community service activity includes the following activities: Survey of service locations, discussions with owners, preparing materials for training in making kampung chicken feed, training on feed packaging and marketing, coordinating and evaluating the results of service implementation, making service reports, journal articles and print media. /electronic results of dedication. This activity will be carried out for 6 (six) months from June 2023 to November 2023.

Abstract

Urea Molasses Block (UMB) is an animal feed supplement that contains micro nutrients which function to improve feed digestibility, provide energy and increase appetite. Based on research results, giving 5% tobacco waste is able to eradicate worms in livestock. Worms are parasites in the digestive tract of livestock. Infected livestock will usually be disturbed in the digestive process, so that in the end it will have an impact on performance in the form of low body weight gain. In general, making UMB is still done manually and traditionally, partners also have not yet got the right formula for making it, which has an impact on the performance of beef cattle. in the Agrapana Sejahtera livestock group. The dissemination of making UMB based on tobacco waste using hydraulic press technology aims to enable farmers who are members of group partners to be able to independently make UMB based on tobacco waste using hydraulic press technology to facilitate and apply the making of UMB to provide supplements that can improve the performance of beef cattle. The output of this activity is an increase in farmers' understanding of producing UMB for the success of beef cattle, increasing knowledge and skills in processing tobacco waste-based feed using hydraulic press technology, and improving the performance of beef cattle.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini telah selesai dan berhasil mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Kelompok Tani Kopi Sumber Kembang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra berkaitan dengan masalah produksi yakni mesin pengupas kulit kopi (huller) yang tersedia sudah tidak bekerja dengan optimal baik dari segi kualitas dan kuantitas. Selain itu masih terdapat permasalahan limbah yakni kulit kopi yang menjadi pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu pada kegiatan pengabdian ini, tim telah memberikan mesin huller dan mesin pengering kopi yang dilengkapi dengan edukasi / pelatihan penggunaan peralatan agar dapat meningkatkan kapabilitas mitra. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei lapang, praktek, dan diskusi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini telah berjalan dengan lancar dan terjadi peningkatan kapabilitas mitra serta peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas produksi mitra.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of IBA concentration and the origin of planting material and their interactions on the rooting of MD2 pineapple seedlings. The research was carried out from August-October 2023 experimentally using a factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK). The first factor is the IBA concentration of 0 ppm, 200 ppm, 400 ppm, and 600 ppm and the second factor is crown shoots and tiller shoots. There are 8 treatment combinations each treatment is repeated 3 times so that there are 24 experimental units with 3 plant samples. The ANOVA results were tested further using the DNMRT test at the 5% level. The observation variables consisted of the number of primary roots and root volume of seedlings aged 30 DAP, length of primary roots and dry weight of roots of seedlings aged 100 HST. The research results showed that giving an IBA concentration of 400 ppm and seedling shoot planting material was the best treatment combination to produce good roots in MD2 pineapple seedlings.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where a toddler has less length or height compared to age. The prevalence of toddlers with nutritional problems is highest in East Java, namely Jember Regency with a prevalence of stunting (34.9%), wasting (12.7%) and underweight (24.1%). Kemuning Lor Village, Arjasa District, Jember Regency has quite high cases of nutritional problems among toddlers, reaching 80 toddlers, so efforts are needed to reduce these nutritional problems. The community service team has created the E-Posyandu Kelor System which must be implemented continuously by all posyandu in Kemuning Lor village to carry out early detection of stunting. Apart from that, there is a need for quality nutritional care to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers. This service activity took place at the Kemuning Lor village hall and was attended by health cadres from 11 posyandu in Kemuning Lor village and accompanied by the village midwife. The activities carried out include 1) training of Posyandu cadres regarding the operation of the e-Posyandu kelor, 2) assisting cadres in implementing Posyandu data recording into the e-Posyandu kelor application, and 3) training of posyandu cadres in making MP-ASI and PMT with diversification of local food ingredients. After the service activities, there was an increase skills in making MP-ASI and cadres were able to record posyandu data on the e-posyandu kelor application. Furthermore, cadres are expected to record posyandu data periodically on the e-posyandu kelor application and make quality MP-ASI/PMT to reduce the incidence of stunting

Abstract

Coffee cultivation plays a pivotal role in global agricultural trade, offering cultural, economic, and social value that transcends borders. In Indonesia, particularly in Jember Regency, coffee stands out as a leading agricultural product, supporting local economies and contributing significantly to global coffee exports. Within this context, the Sumber Kembang Farmer Group cultivates and processes coffee, offering a diverse range of products, including coffee logs and ground coffee, derived from both Robusta and Arabica varieties and processed through various methods. This research aims to identify optimal strategies for developing the group's coffee business. A case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and a literature review. The analysis used several strategic tools, including the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) Matrix, External Factor Evaluation (EFE) Matrix, Internal-External (IE) Matrix, SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Matrix, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The findings reveal that the coffee enterprise of the Sumber Kembang Farmer Group is positioned in quadrant IV of the IE matrix, indicating a Growth and Build strategy. This positioning underscores the need for an extensive and integrative approach encompassing six strategic components. Prioritizing the improvement of product marketing quality is identified as a critical step toward achieving business development goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respon agronomi dan fisiologis semangka non biji terhadap aplikasi pupuk kalium (KCl) pada empat dosis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Inovasi Polije pada bulan Maret-Juni 2023 menggunakan RAK satu faktor, yaitu: K₀: Siram + Gejik (0 g/5 L udara + 0 g tanaman⁻¹); K₁: Siram + Gejik (2 g/5 L udara + 128 g tanaman⁻¹); K₂: Siram + Gejik (4 g/5 L udara + 167 g tanaman⁻¹); K₃: Siram + Gejik (8 g/5 L udara + 191 g tanaman⁻¹). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali, sehingga diperoleh 16 satuan percobaan. Pemberian perlakuan pupuk KCl melalui dua metode aplikasi, yaitu pemupukan siram dan pemupukan gejik (dibenamkan). Pemupukan siram dilakukan sebanyak delapan kali dan pemupukan gejik dilakukan sebanyak dua kali selama satu musim tanam. Pemberiannya dilakukan secara terpadu dengan pupuk lain seperti ZA, NPK Mutiara, SP-36, dan Boron. Pengamatan meliputi kandungan klorofil, panjang sulur, diameter batang, waktu muncul bunga, dan bobot buah per tanaman. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji lanjut DMRT. Hasil menunjukkan penambahan pupuk KCl berpengaruh nyata terhadap kandungan klorofil, panjang sulur, diameter batang dan bobot buah, namun berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap waktu munculnya bunga. Dosis K3 (8 g/5 L air dan 191 g tanaman⁻¹) secara konsisten memberikan nilai tertinggi dan direkomendasikan untuk budidaya semangka berikutnya guna mendukung peningkatan produktivitas serta mutu buah semangka.
