Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of multicultural learning based on religious values on bullying behavior of students in elementary schools. The method used is quantitative with a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group model. The subjects of the study were third-grade students of Purwodadi 2 Public Elementary School who were divided into experimental and control groups. Data collection was carried out through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the analysis using the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.004 (p < 0.05), which indicates a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Multicultural learning that integrates religious values such as tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect has been proven to be able to reduce bullying behavior significantly. These findings indicate that a learning approach based on religious values not only impacts cognitive aspects but is also effective in shaping the character of students who are tolerant and moral. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has forced education to transition from face-to-face learning to online learning. This shift has posed various challenges, especially in terms of communication and students' understanding of the material. Educators are expected to have teaching strategies that capture students' attention and ensure a deep understanding of the material being taught. This transformation challenges educators to be more creative and adaptive in managing Distance Learning (PJJ). One effective approach is Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL). The TaRL approach emphasizes diagnostic assessments to evaluate students' potential, characteristics, needs, and developmental stages. Based on the assessment results, educators can plan appropriate learning processes and group students according to their skill levels. This learning process is complemented by formative and summative assessments to evaluate students' understanding and progress. With this systematic approach, it is hoped that the challenges of online learning can be addressed, and learning objectives can be optimally achieved.

Abstract

The significance of Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan education within Indonesian higher education is underscored by Muhammadiyah's commitment to integrating Islamic principles with contemporary educational needs. This approach is vital in addressing the growing complexities of a multicultural society.Muhammadiyah, founded in 1912 by KH Ahmad Dahlan, emphasizes a moderate and progressive Islamic education that combines academic excellence with moral development. This educational model is designed to foster individuals who are both intellectually competent and ethically grounded.Despite extensive documentation on Muhammadiyah's educational principles, there is limited empirical research on how these principles are effectively applied in multicultural settings within higher education institutions. This study employs a qualitative case study approach to explore the implementation of multicultural-based Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan education at Muhammadiyah higher education institutions. It aims to analyze how these institutions integrate Islamic values with multicultural principles in their educational practices.
