Abstract

The research entitled “Composition of Herbs Plant Species in The Mountain Forest  Around the Kalimpa'a Lake Lore Lindu National Park Central Sulawesi” was conducted in April to June 2016. This research aims is to study and to determine the species composition of herbaceous plants that grow in the mountain forest around Kalimpa’a Lake Lore Lindu National Park area. The environmental factors such  as;  air temperature, humidity and light intensity were measured by Thermohygrometer and Lux meter.  GPS was used to measure the position geography and altitude. The data of  rainfall was obtained from the Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics Mutiara Sis Al-Djufire Airport Palu. The research carried out in a survey with using single plot method with 50 x 50 m in size. In this  plot was subdivided into 25 subplots of 2 x 2 m² (recording units) to observe herbs diversity. The resut of the reseach showed that  there were twenty six (26) species, consist of  twenty five (25) genera and nineteen (19) families herbs plant species with the number of individuals 469. The dominant species of was Borreria alata (Aubl.) DC. with Important Value (IV) of 32,06%. It followed by  Alpinia sp and Goodyera celebica  with IV  23.73% and 21,23% respectively. Meanwhile, the lowest of Important Value (1,21%) was Genarium potentilloides. The species diversity index (H’) in this research was chategorized to medium with H’ = 2.73. Of the 26 species of herbaceous plants founded, a number of them were endemic to Sulawesi namely; Goodyera celebica Blume, Alyxia celebica D.G.Middlleton and Freycenetia minahassae Koord.

Abstract

Research on "Inventory of terrestrial fern species in The Nokilalaki Climbing Route Of Lore Lindu National Park in Tongoa village, Nokilalaki district, Sigi regency of Central Sulawesi province" was carried out in May to July 2016. This study aims to know the type Any kind Of terrestrial spikes found on the nokilalaki climbing lane national park. This research uses Exploratory Method that is to explore the area of climbing path Nokilalaki, starting from the bottom point of the line that is from shelter 1 to shelter 4 or peak. It also collects specimens of Terrestrial Nail Plants for the manufacture of Herbariums or plants. The herbarium sample is used for identification process. The identification process is done in biodiversity laboratory majoring in biology faculty of mathematics and natural sciences, Tadulako University using book “Fern of malasya in colour dan prosea’’And compare it with the collection contained in the biodiversity lab. The results showed 23 species of nail plants consisting of 14 genera and 10 families and 3 unidentified species.

Abstract

The research entitled: "The distribution pattern and the density of Arenga undulatifolia Becc. (Arecaceae) in the sub-montane forest of Toro Lore Lindu National Park, Central Sulawesi has been conducted from April to June 2017. The study aimed to find out the distribution patterns and density of Arenga undulatifolia Becc. in the studied area. The research was used transect method which was placed by purposive sampling 50 m in length. The results showed that the distribution pattern of Arenga undulatifolia Becc. was clumped. Density of Arenga undulatifolia Becc tree. The highest was found in transect I with a value of 58.34%, density of Arenga undulatifolia Becc. The highest was obtained in transect III with a value of 29.82% and density of Arenga undulatifolia Becc. The highest was obtained in transect VI with the total value of 42.90%.

Abstract

The Research entitled “Diversity of erect palm species and its Etnobotanical study at Tuwa Village Saluki Hamlet Gumbasa district, Sigi regency” has been conducted from October to December 2016. The research aimed to study the diversity of Arecaceae and its usefulness by local people in the studied area. The metode of collecting data and sample conducted a survey include exploration in the field without ignoring the abiotic factors include temperature and humidity, well as tte questionnaire interviews with responden 10 people. The results showed that 9 species of Arecaceae with aspects of their use people in the tuwa village saluki hamlet. The data analysis of Arecaceae plants untilized by the community that is 4 aspect, which consists of medicine (2 species), food (4 species), crafts (1 species), and building materials (3 species).

Abstract

A research entitled “Ethnobotanical Studies of Medicinal Plant of the Kaili Rai ethnic group in Wombo Village, District Tanantovea, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi” has been carried out from December 2016 to February 2017. The research objective was to obtain the information of medicinal plant diversity and its part that utilized and how did their processed as traditional medicine. The research was done by two methods that is using semi structure interview technique to 44 respondents with quisioner sheet and direct interview to village Shaman. The result showed that there were 55 plants species that used by the Kaili Rai ethnic group in wombo village. The highest percentase that used in the part of plants were 60% of leaves.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan, wawasan sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa Program Studi Biologi dalam penyusunan proposal PKM-P (PKM-R). Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan sumberdaya manusia bagi mahasiswa dalam menghasilkan produk proposal yang berkualitas, memiliki daya saing yang kompetitif dalam mengikuti Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa, khususnya bidang PKM-P (PKM-R). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, diterapkan metode dan pendekatan berupa pelatihan yang disesuaikan dengan target sasaran mitra. Kurangnya kemampuan dan pemahaman dalam merancang dan menyusun proposal terkait PKM mendorong tim pengabdian memadukan ide-ide dan gagasan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dengan melakukan kegiatan Pelatihan. Pelatihan menggunakan metode workshop berbasis kelompok. Materi yang diberikan terkait dengan Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa; identifikasi masalah, ide/gagasan dalam menetapkan topik dan teknik sitasi (mendeley) sampai pada sistematika dan teknik penyusunan proposal. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan rata-rata peserta sebesar 21% dari sebelum kegiatan pelatihan secara umum mencapai rata-rata 69%, setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan, pengetahuan peserta meningkatkan menjadi rata-rata 90%.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah model inquiry dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajar IPA di kelas IV SDN 27 Ampana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa  pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas IV  SDN 27 Ampana dengan menggunakan model inquiry. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan  kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Adapun tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi hasil belajar siswa, hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa diambil dari lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tindakan siklus I yang tuntas secara individu berjumlah 19 orang dari 30 siswa sehingga diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal 63,33% dan daya serap klasikal sebesar 69,33%. Pada tindakan siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 80% dan daya serap klasikal 76,74%. Hal ini berarti pembelajaran pada siklus II telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan dengan daya serap klasikal minimal 65% dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal minimal 80%. Berdasarkan daya serap klasikal dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada kegiatan pembelajaran siklus II, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model inquiry dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV di SDN 27 Ampana.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the physical characteristics, chemical composition of the eggs of the filipina gosong bird (Megapodius cumingii) obtained from nesting sites on the coast of Poat Island, Pagimana District, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Measurement of the physical characteristics of eggs (weight, diameter, length and egg index) were carried out at the Laboratory of Biology Study Program, Tadulako University. Besides, observation on egg color, shape and egg texture were also conducted. Measurements of water and fat content, protein, carbohydrates, ash, crude fiber and egg antioxidants (Proxymate analysis) were carried out at the Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tadulako University. Amino acid analysis was carried out at the Integrated Laboratory of IPB by using HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). The results showed that the eggs of the Filipina charred bird had an oval shape with two shell colors, dark brown and light brown, and the texture was smooth. The average size of egg weight, length, diameter and egg index were 99.35 g, 7.31 cm, 5.5 cm and 72.43%, respectively. The results of the chemical analysis of filipino gosong eggs revealed that water and fat content, protein, carbohydrates, ash, crude fiber and egg antioxidants were 50.45%, 18.75%, 13.40%, 0.02%, 375.98% and 1.82% respectively. The result showed a higher protein content compared to fat content. The 17 types of amino acids included essential and non-essential amino acids. Glutamate was the highest concentration of 2.10%, while cysteine was the lowest concentration of 0.15%.

Abstract

The Araceae family plant in the Mount Sidole has a diversity and variety of life forms. The purpose of this study is to describe the family relationship of Araceae family based on morphological characters. Sampling using the path method (belt transect) with free collection techniques. The size of the track used is 10 m wide and ± 15 km long along the Sidole Mountain climbing track at an altitude of 400-1780 m above sea level. Morphological data measurement refers to 37 meristic and qualitative characters. Processing data using the File Editor Program (PFE) and analyzed with the Multivariate Statistical Package (MVSP) program. Determination of similarity index with the Simple Matching Coefficient method and kinship between types using the Unweighted Pair-Group Method Using Arithmetic Average (UPGMA). The results of specimen collection are 26 species. Based on the dendrogram of Familia Araceae divided into three groups. Group I are 9 species of hemiepipitic groups which cluster at a coefficient of 76%, namely Amydrium medium, Pothos scandens, Epipendrum sp., Scindapsus treubii, S. pictus, Rhaphidophora sp., R. sylvestris, R. lobbii and R. puberula. Group II are 8 species of geophytes grouping at 77% coefficient, namely Colocasia oresbia, C. esculenta, Xanthosoma violaceumm, X. sagittifolium, Apoballis mutata, Alocasia sp., A. longiloba and A. Macrorrhizos. Group III are 9 species of geophytes grouping at 82% coefficient, namely Spathiphyllum commutatum, Schismatoglottis inculta, S. lancifolia, S. wallichii, S. asperata, S. cadieri, S. calyptrata and S. calyptrata ssp flagelliforme and Aglaonema nitidum.

Abstract

The objectives of the study is to describe the influence of Time Token learning model towards learning motivation, to describe the influence of Time Token learning model towards students’ learning achievement of Biology Cell, and to determine the relationship between students’ motivation and learning achievement of Biology Cell in Biology Education Studies Program at the Sintuwu Maroso University. The research design uses posttest only control group design in quasi-experiment research. The sample of the research is 79 students. Data were obtained from the learning motivation and learning achievement of biology cell. Data were analyzed using t test and product moment correlation test using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that there is significant influence of Time Token learning model toward student’ motivation in learning Biology Cell (t> t table, 1.950> 1.665); there is significant influence of Time Token learning model toward students’ learning achievement of Biology Cell (t> t table, 10.941> 1.665); and there is a positive relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of Biology Cell in Biology Education Studies Program at Sintuwu Maroso University (r = 0.601 it is the strong category). Based on the results can be concluded that Time Token learning model can improve student’ motivation and learning achievement.
