Abstract

Penelitian tentang ?Pola Distribusi dan Kerapatan Racemobambos celebica S.Dransf (Poaceae) Tumbuhan Endemik Sulawesi di Kawasan Hutan Pegunungan Sekitar Danau  Kalimpa?a Taman Nasional Lore Lindu? telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2017. Penelitian  menggunakan metode survey eksploratif di kawasan yang dipelajari. Metoda sampling  menggunakan metode petak ganda, dimana sebanyak 25  plot yang masing-masingnya berukuran 10 m x 10 m diletakan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa pola distribusi R.celebica adalah mengelompok dan acak, dengan nilai indeks morisita tertinggi yaitu 0,13 terdapat pada plot 2 dan nilai indeks Morisita terendah yaitu 0 terdapat pada plot 12, 14, 15, 23 dan 24. Kerapatan populasi tertinggi yaitu terdapat pada plot 2 dengan nilai kerapatan 0,12 dan kerapatan relatif 7,59% sedangkan kerapatan populasi terendah terdapat pada plot 23 dengan nilai kerapatan 0,012 dan kerapatan relatif 0,75%.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul ?Jenis-Jenis Tumbuhan dari Suku Asteraceae di desa Mataue, Kawasan Taman Nasional Lore Lindu? telah dilakukan dari Bulan Maret sampaiApril 2014.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis dari suku Asteraceaeyang terdapat di lokasi penelitian serta pemanfaatannya oleh masayarakat setempat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey melalui eksplorasi di lapangan (pengambilan sampel dengan cara menjelajahi lokasi penelitian) dan dibuat herbariumnya. Identifikasi dilakukan di Laboratorium Biodeversitas Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNTAD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan 34 jenis yang terdiri dari 30 marga yang tersebar di lokasi penelitian diantaranya Acmella uliginosa, Ageratum conyzoides, Bidens pilosa, Blumea balsamifera, Blumea chinensis, Blumea lacera, Chromolaena odorata, Cosmos caudatus, Cosmos sulphureus, Crassocephalum crepidioides, Cyanthillium cinereum, Dahlia pinnata, Dichrocephala integrifolia, Eclipta prostrata, Elephantopus mollis, Eleutheranthera ruderalis, Emilia sonchifolia, Erechtites valerianifolia, Erigeron sumatrensis, Galinsoga parviflora, Gerbera jamesonii, Gynura procumbens, Helianthus annuus, Pluchea indica, Porophyllum ruderale, Sonchus asper, Sphagneticola trilobata, Synedrella nodiflora, Tagetes erecta, Tithonia diversifolia, Tithonia rotundifolia, Tridax procumbens, Youngia japonica dan Zinnia elegans.

Abstract

Teachers strive to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects through the use of approaches to classroom learning. As for the chosen approach to improve learning outcomes, foster a spirit of learning, diligence, and respect for each other is the approach of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) using power points. The study aims to: 1) describe the implementation of contextual teaching and learning using power points to improve the learning outcomes of light properties in grade IV students at SDN 12 Palu (2) describing increased learning outcomes on the properties of light in grade IV students at SDN 12 Palu through the application of contextual teaching and learning using power points. The research method uses the classroom action research design Mc. Taggart, consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research location is at SDN 12 Palu. The research subjects (n = 24) consisting of 13 male students and 11 female students. Data retrieval techniques using observation methods and tests. Data analysis is conducted with qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that students' activity in Cycle I gained 71.33% or enough category, increasing in cycles of II 86.66% or very good category. Learning activities through the results of observation of teacher skills on cycle I, obtained 76% or good, and cycle II 90.66% or very good. Student learning data for the classical absorbent (DSK) cycle I (63%) and cycle II (80%). For the classical learning (KBK) cycle I (58%) and cycle II (83%). Based on these results, it was concluded that the implementation of contextual teaching and learning using power points can increase the activity and outcomes of science in class IV SDN 12 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to describe an increase in science learning activities and learning outcomes of fourth-grade students through the application of an environment-based scientific approach in the SD Inpres Koya. The research method uses the Hopkins model design, which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The place for conducting the study was at SD Inpres Koya, from July to August 2018. The research subjects were 12 students. The data collection technique uses observation and test methods. Data analysis was done by analyzing data qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the activity of students increased (15.33%) in the first cycle to the second cycle. Teacher activity increased (14.66%) from the first cycle to the second cycle. Data on student learning outcomes for pre-action classical absorption (57.50%), cycle I (74.14%), and cycle II (85.83%) increased (11.69%). For classical learning completeness pre-action (41.66%), cycle I (75.00%), and cycle II (100%) increased (25.00%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of an environment-based scientific approach can improve the activities and learning outcomes of science in the fourth grade of SD Inpres Koya.

Abstract

The mangrove Sonneratia caseolaris that grows on land (Bora) has a different morphological form from Sonneratia alba which grows on the sea coast of Parigi and Donggala. This study aims to determine the genetic diversity of mangrove species Sonneratia spp. in Central Sulawesi and utilizing research results as a learning media in the form of a genetics practicum module. The results showed that the genetic diversity of the mangrove species Sonneratia spp. in Parigi, Donggala, and Bora showed a difference, namely that Sonneratia alba which grew in Parigi and Donggala had the same similarity index, namely 88.9%, while Sonneratia caseolaris which grew in Bora had a different similarity index, namely 71.3%. From these results, a learning media in the form of a genetics practicum guide module was made and was validated by content experts, design experts, media experts, and 10 students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan hubungan kekerabatan varietas ubi banggai (Dioscorea sp.) berdasarkan karakter fenotipik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dekskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian  diperoleh dari di Tinangkung Utara Kabupaten Banggai Kepulauan yaitu Desa Palam, Desa Luksagu dan Desa Bangpanga. Karakterisasi mengacu pada 15 karakter morfometrik, 2 karakter meristik dan 27 karakter kualitatif. Data diolah menggunakan Program File Editor (PFE), dianalisis menggunakanan analisis klaster dengan program Multivariat Statistical Package (MVSP). Indeks similaritas dihitung menggunakan metode Simple Matching Coefficient, rekonstruksi dendogram menggunakan UPGMA alogarithm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 13 varietas ubi banggai di Kabupaten Banggai Kepulauan, Sulawesi Tengah membentuk 2 klaster dan memiliki hubungan kekerabatan yang dekat dengan indeks similaritas antara 0,766-1,00%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi informasi dasar yang sangat diperlukan dalam upaya pelestarian dan pengembangan Ubi Banggai sebagai sumber pangan alternatif. Selain itu, informasi ini juga diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan dalam melengkapi referensi ilmiah terkait penelitian Ubi Banggai.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of science process skills of laboratory assistants of Biology Education FKIP UNTAD through ecology field practicum guidance. The research method used in this research was descriptive by using this type of qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 30 laboratory assistants. Increasing science process skills through ecology field practicum activities including work safety indicators in practicum, skills using tools and materials, skills in making observations, ability to apply sampling methods and techniques, ability to analyze and interpret data, and ability to communicate practical results. Data were analyzed to count the Normalized Gain (N-Gain). Based on the Normalized Gain analysis on the six indicators of science process skills, the assistants overall have an average of 0.67 (classified as moderate). Furthermore, based on the hypothesis test, it showed the tcount (8.899) was greater than the ttable value (2.015) so that the H0 hypothesis was rejected, which means that there was an increase in science process skills at the Biology Education Laboratory Assistant FKIP UNTAD through ecology field practicum guidance.

Abstract

Jenis dan hubungan kekerabatan kupu-kupu erat kaitannya dengan pelestarian dan pemanfaatan sumber daya hayati di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis dan kekerabatan kupu-kupu (Lepidoptera) di Taman Hutan Raya Sulawesi Tengah. Pengambilan sampel kupu-kupu menggunakan sweeping net dengan metode purposive sampling pada tiga lokasi Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) yang berbeda yaitu Vatutela, Kawatuna, dan Poboya. Sampel kupu-kupu yang diperoleh di lokasi penelitian selanjutnya diidentifikasi di Laboratorium Biologi, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Tadulako. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 97 spesies dari lima famili kupu-kupu, yaitu Papilionidae (14 spesies), Pieridae (16 spesies), Nymphalidae (46 spesies), Lycanidae (15 spesies), dan Hesperiidae (6 spesies). Sampel penelitian yang digunakan untuk analisis hubungan kekerabatan adalah 23 spesies dari lima famili kupu-kupu yang mendominasi pada lokasi penelitian. Karakter yang diamati meliputi 32 karakter. Analisis hubungan kekerabatan dihitung menggunakan indeks kesamaan Sorensen, selanjutnya diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak Multivariate Statistical Package (MVSP). Hubungan kekerabatan terdekat yaitu antara spesies Appias ithome dan A. zarinda yang didukung dengan indeks similaritas di atas 0,90 dan hubungan kekerabatan terjauh terjadi antara spesies Bibasis sp. dengan spesies lainnya yang berasal dari famili Hesperiidae yang didukung dengan indeks similaritas di bawah 0,7.

Abstract

The research on the structure and composition of mangrove vegetation in the Lalombi Village South Banawa Donggala District has been conducted from November to December 2012 which aims to determine the structure and composition of mangrove vegetation in the studied area. The research was used exploratory survey method by using line (transect method) and in the transects, plots were made in the size 10 m X 10 m for the observation of trees, 5 m X 5 m for the poles and the 2 m X 2 m for seedlings. The result of the research showed that there were 11 species of mangrove namely : Ceriops tagal, Ceriops decandra, Aegiceras corniculatum, Avicennia marina, Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Camptostemon philipinense, Xylocarpus molluccensis and Bruguiera parviflora. It’s belong to 6 family that Rhizophoraceae, Myrsinaceae, Avicenniaceae, Sonneratiaceae, Meliaceae and Bombacaceae. The diversity index of Mangrove species at Lalombi village was low. Species Mangrove of trees in the studied area were dominated by Sonneratia alba (INP 82.41%), meanwhile Aegiceras corniculatum (INP 69.71%) and Ceriops tagal were dominant on the level of sapling and seedling (62.21%). Key words: Structure, composition, mangrove, Lalombi village

Abstract

Research on Litter production of four types of mangrove plant in Lalombi Village, Donggala was carried out from December 2012 to February 2013. Mangrove populations that become the object of observation in this study were Sonneratia alba J. Smith, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza (L.) Lamk., Rhizophora apiculata BL., dan Rhizophora mucronata Lamk. This study was done based on Survey method, and the litter sample was collected by using net reservoir. The collection of litter was done every 2 weeks, and then separated according to the type of litter and its components such as leaves, twigs and reproduction organs and then dried at a temperature of 103 °C until constant weight. The resultss showed that the total production of four types of mangrove plant litter was 3.44 tons/ha/3 months. The contribution component of the leaves were 2.23 tons/ha/3 months, twigs were 0.53 tons/ha/3 months and reproduction organs were 0.68 tons/ha/3 months. Among the mangrove plant species observed, Sonneratia alba was produce the highest litter than others. Litter production of Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, were 1.28 tons/ha/3 months, 1.09 tons/ha/3 months, 0.64 tons/ha/3 months and 0.44 tons/ha/3 months respectively. Key words: Litter production, Mangrove, Lalombi village.
