Abstract

The title of this research is “Herbs plant species diversity at two forest types of Lore Lindu National Park at Bobo village in Central Sulawesi. This research was conducted on May to July 2013. The objective of this research was to learn and to know about, diversity of herbs species at two forest types at Bobo village Lore Lindu National Park of Central Sulawesi. The type of this research is exploratory survey research by using the establishment of a single plot (50 x 50 m) followed by subplot (2 x 2 m) were placed on regular basis (systematic). The results of this research showed that there were sixteen (16) species of herbs plant in primary forest and twenty two (22) species in secandary forest. The Aglaonema simplex Blume (Araceae) was highest IVI of herb in primary forest (42.03%), the other hand Tacca palmata Blume (Taccaceae) was highest in secandary forest (38.80%). The value of Similarity Indeks between two forest types studied was 69.04%. Based on the FIV Index the primary forest and secandary forest were dominated by Araceae. Keywords : Herbs, The Village of Bobo, Lore Lindu National Park, Central Sulawesi.

Abstract

Research entitled "The Woody Liana Diversity in the Lowland forest of The Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP) Central Sulawesi Indonesia has been conducted from April to June 2014. The objectives of research was to obtain the data of liana diversity in the lowland forest of LLNP around the Bobo village, Palolo District The study used a survey method in which samples are taken using the method of double swath plot size 5 X 5 amount 14 subplots arranged in purposive sampling. All recognizable morphospecies of liana plants were collected. Plant collecting was according to the “Schweinfurth method” (Bridson and Forman 1999). Additionally, fertile voucher specimens were collected for identification purposes. Processing of the specimens was conducted at the Herbarium Celebense (CEB), Universitas of Tadulako, Palu. Identification was done in the field, in CEB, and at the Laboratory of Biodiversity Department of Biology Faculty of Basic Sciences Tadulako University Vouchers were deposited in CEB, and at the Laboratory of Biodiversity Faculty of Basic Sciences Tadulako University Palu. The results showed that there were 35 (Thirtyfive) woody liana species in the studied area. Dinochloa scanden was the highest Important Value (19,91%), whereas the liana species with the lowest of Value index was Capparis quinifolia (INP 1,49%). We noted that there were a number liana species were Endemic to Sulawesi and Wallacea region namely: Calamus minahassae, Calamus zollingerii, Korthalsia celebica, Strongilodon celebicus and Artrabotrys trichofolius. Based on the Shanon-Whiener Index that the liana diversity of lowland rain forest of Bobo Village was chategorized very high with the H’ 3,27. Keywords: Lore Lindu National Park, the village of Bobo, Diversity, Liana

Abstract

A research on the structure and composition of mangrove vegetation in the Bangkagi Village South Walea Tojo Una Una District has been conducted from September to October 2013 which aims to determine the structure and composition of mangrove vegetationin the studied area. The research was used exploratory survey method by using line (transect method) and in thetransects, plots were made in the size 10 m x 10 m for the observation of trees,5 m x 5 m for the poles and the 2 m x2 m for seedlings.The result of the research showed that there were 7 species of mangrove namely: Ceriopstagal, Avicennia marina, Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora mucronata, Bruguiera gymnorhia, Xylocarpus molluccensis and Schiphyphora hydrophillacea. It’s belong to 5 family that Rhizophoraceae, Avicenniaceae, Sonneratiaceae, Meliaceae and Rubiaceae. The diversity index of Mangrove species at Bangkagi village was low. Species Mangrove of trees in the studied area were dominated by Rhizophora mucronata (193,63%),mean while Rhizophora mucronata (173,30 %) and Rhizophora mucronata were dominant on the level of sapling and seedling (135,35 %). Keywords :Structure, Composition, Mangrove, Bangkagi village.

Abstract

Study about ‘’Terrestrial Herbs Communities in Two Types of Cacao Agroforest at Mataue Village, Sigi Regency of Central Sulawesi was conducted in the period of April to May 2014. The study was aimed to identify the diversity of herbs over the two types of cacao agroforest. The survey method was used in the study. To observe herb diversity single plot (50 x 50 m in size) and 25 sub plots ( 2 x 2 m in size) was established in each forest type.  The result showed that there were fourty two (42) herbs species in complex agroforest and was nineteen (19) herbs species in simple agroforest. In simple agroforest, the highest (INP) 40,89% refers to Elephantopus mollis Kunth (Asteraceae) and the highest (INP) 34,49%  in complex agroforest was belong to Elatostema sp. (Urticaceae). The similarity species index of both cacao agroforest was 55,07%. Keywords: Terrestrial Herbs, Cacao Agroforest, Mataue village.

Abstract

This research was carried out in Ponding-ponding village, on June and July 2014. The aim of the research is to identify structure, composition and environment condition of mangrove vegetation in Ponding-ponding Village District North Tinangkung Banggai Islands Regency. Research method used was belt transect method with position in nested plot, location of the study consisted of 3 stations are placed purposive sampling, data was analyzed using vegetation analysis. The results showed that the true mangrove species found in the village of Ponding-ponding are 6 type of Avicennia officinalis, Schyphiphora hydrophyllacea, Lumnitzera racemosa, Lumnitzera littorea, Rhizophora mucronata and Nypa fruticans. At station I, the highest IVI in the tree stratum, sapling and seedling is Avicennia officinalis with importance value each of it (257.52 %), (220.24 %) and (88.89 %). At station II, the highest IVI in the tree stratum is Schyphiphora hydrophyllacea (181.54 %), sapling and seedling stratum is Lumnitzera racemosa each of it have importance value (117.67 %) and (56.17 %). At station II, the highest IVI in the tree stratum, sapling and seedling is Nypa fruticans with details amount sapling (227,93 %) and seedling (200 %).Key words: Structure, Composition, Mangrove Vegetation, Ponding-ponding village

Abstract

The research entitled ‘’Composition of shrubs vegetation in Two (2) Land Use types at the Pangalasiang Village, Donggala Regency of Central Sulawesi’’ was conducted from April to October  2015. The aim was to know the composition of shrubs vegetation in two land use types at Pangalasiang Village, Donggala Regency of Central Sulawesi. The types of this research is exploratory survey research by using the establishment of a single plot (50 × 50 m) followed by subplot (5 × 5 m) were placed on regular basis (systematic). The result of this research showed that there were fiveteen (15) species of shrubs plant in the ex ore mining land and twenty three (23) species in natural forest. In the ex ore mining land, the highest (INP) 36,15% refers to Stachytarpheta jamaicensis (L) Vahl. (Verbenaceae) and the highest (INP) 21,02% in natural forest was belong to Ageratum conyzoides L. (Asteraceae). The similarity index between two land use types was 82,92%.

Abstract

A research entitled  “Inventory of Rhododendron (Ericaceae) at the Montane Forest of Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP) Central Sulawesi has been conducted from March to August 2016. The Research was located at two locations namely: path of Mt. Nokilalaki (1065-2355 m asl) and path of Mt Rorekautimbu (1699 -2070 m asl)  used survey method by using the botanical exploration methods. All Rhododendron species  were collected in sets of at least two duplicates. Plant collecting was according to the “Schweinfurth method” (Pitopang et al, 2011). Processing of the specimens was conducted at the Laboratory of Biodiversity Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathemathics and Natural Sciences Tadulako University. Identification was done in the field, in CEB, and the Herbarium Bogoriense (BO), Cibinong West Java. Vouchers were deposited in Laboratory of Biodiversity Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathemathics and Natural Sciences Tadulako University. The results showed that there were four (4) species of Rhododendron from the area of study namely Rhododendron malayanum Jack, Rhododendron quadrasianum S. Vidal var. celebicum J.J.Sm. (Nokilalaki), Rhododendron zollingeri J.J.Sm. and Rhododendron celebicum DC (Rore Kautimbu).

Abstract

Diversity of tree species around Lake Kalimpa'a, Lore Lindu National Park has been implemented since July to September 2016. This research is descriptive and qualitative to know knowing the diversity of tree species and analyze the tree vegetation. The analysis of tree species was used quadratic method by using a single plot measuring 50 m x 50 m formed into 25 plots measuring 10 m x 10 m. The result of research, found 112 individual trees consist of 37 species. Some of them are classified as endemic species of Antidesma Celebicum Miq., Chionanthus celebicus Koord., Macaranga waturandangii Whitmore, and Lithocarpus menadoensis (Koord.) Soepadmo. Tree type Castanopsis acuminatissima (Blume) A.DC. has the highest importance index value of 41.78 and Garcinia sp. was the lowest important value index INP 2.41.

Abstract

A research entitled “Autecological study of Impatiens mamasensis Utami & Wiriad. In the Tongoa resort of Lore Lindu National Park Central Sulawesi has been carried out from April to May 2016. The research objectives was to describe the environmental factor of habitat of I. mamasensis Utami & Wiriad including abiotic and biotic factor. The abiotic factors which was observed such temperature and humidity were measured by Termohygrometer, light intensity by lux meter, and  soil pH and soil humidity were calculated by Soil tester. Geographical position measured by Global Positioning System/ GPS). Meanwhile, rainfall data obtained from the Meteorological and Geophysics Palu. Concentrations of Nitrogen, of habitat was analyzed by the Kjehdahl method whereas Phosphorus, and Potassium was analyzed by extracting 25% HCL. Vegetation was analyzed by using double plot method with plot size 2 by 2 m in size. The results showed that  I. mamasensis grew well at an altitude of 1500 to 1700 m asl with daily temperatures ranged from 17.3 to 23.8 ° C, relative humidity varied from 68.5 to 83.7% soil pH  from 5,8 to 7 and soil humidity ranges from 50 to 80%.  Rainfall was 448 mm and 205 during  April to May. I. mamasensis grow in low concentration N meanwhile concentration P and K soil with moderate concentration. The vegetation is dominated by Elatostema strigosum (Bl.) Hassk (IVI 14,81%.), Desmodium repandum (Vahl.) DC. (IVI 9,71%), Crypsinus montanus Sledge sp (IVI 9,56%), Geophila repens (L.) I.M. Johnst. (INP 9,29%). I noted a number species of  insects ie, Tetrigidae, Tachinidae,  Aulacophora sp, Chrysosoma sp, and Episyrpus sp. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information for the benefit of ex-situ conservation acclimation and cultivation research Impatiens mamasensis Utami & Wiriad. in order to prevent this endemic species from extinction.Key words:  Autecology, Impatiens mamasensis Utami & Wiriad., Lore Lindu National Park (LLNP)..

Abstract

A research entitled “Ethnobotanical Studies of Medicinal Plant in the Kaili Rai ethnic group in Sisere Hamlet, Labuan Toposo Village, District Labuan, Donggala Regency,  Central Sulawesi” has been carried out from July until September 2016. The research objective was to obtain the information of plants diversity and its organ that utilized as traditional medicine. The research was done by two methods that is using semi structure interview technique to 38 respondents with quetioeners sheet and direct interview to village Shaman. The result showed that there were 51 plants species that used by the Kaili Rai ethnic group in the studied area The highest percentase that used in the part of plants were 65,07% of leaves and the level of community knowledge for using the plant as a traditional medicine a much as 100%. The type of the illness that can be threated are chronic, infections, non-infections and also to health care.
