Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan kekerabatan jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) di daerah perkebunan kelapa sawit Mamuang desa Lalundu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu koleksi bebas. Data diolah dengan menggunakan Program File Editor (PFE) kemudian dianalisis dengan program Multivariat Statistical Package (MVSP). Indeks similaritas dihitung menggunakan metode Simple Matching Coefficient dan penentuan hubungan kekerabatan menggunakan UPGMA algorithm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tumbuhan paku yang didapatkan ada 10 jenis di Perkebunan kelapa sawit Mamung desa Lalundu, yaitu Asplenium macrophyllum, Stenochlaena palustris, Pityrogramma calomelanos, Asplenium nidus, Vittaria elongat, Selaginella plana, Asplenium confusum, Drymoglossum piloselloides, Nephrolepis bisserata, dan Displazium esculentum. Kesepuluh spesies tumbuhan paku membentuk 9 klaster. Klaster pertama ditempati oleh Asplenium macrophyllum dan Asplenium confusum sedangkan 8 jenis lainnya masing-masing menempati klaster kedua sampai dengan klaster kesembilan. Hubungan kekerabatan terdekat terjadi antara spesies Asplenium macrophyllum dan Asplenium confusum dengan indeks similaritas 0,725 atau 72,50%, sedangkan hubungan kekerabatan terjauh antara individu dari spesies tumbuhan paku pada node tujuh (Asplenium confusum, Asplenium macrophyllum, Asplenium nidus, Nephrolepis bisserata dan Displazium esculentum) dengan spesies pada node 8 (Stenochlaena palustris, Pityrogramma calomelanos, Selaginella plana, Vittaria elongata dan Drymoglossum piloselloides) dengan indeks similaritas 0,446 atau 44,60%.

Abstract

Ancaman terhadap keanekaragaman hayati di Indonesia tidak hanya disebabkan oleh eksploitasi yang berlebihan terhadap sumber daya alam tetapi juga disebabkan oleh adanya spesies tumbuhan asing invasif. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi species dan Melakukan analisis Kerapatan Tumbuhan Invasif Alien Spesies yang tersebar di taman hutan raya (TAHURA) kota palu. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik plot tunggal dengan menentukn 4 stasiun dimana setiap stasiun berisi 1 transek, menggunakan tali rafia untuk mengukur panjang plot serta menggunakan patok dari kayu, dimana plot berukuran 50 × 50 dengan anakan plot 2 × 2 untuk perdu 5×5 untuk semak dan herba dan 10×10 untuk pohon. Dari hasil penelitian indeks kerapatan yang tinggi yaitu jenis Eupatorium odoratum L memiliki indeks kerapatan 20.923/ha, Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit memiliki indeks kerapatan 53.829/ha, Lantana camara L memiliki indeks kerapatan 11.188/ha, Alanternanthera pungens Kunth memiliki indeks kerapatan 14.888/ha, serta Indeks keanekargaman 2,042 (sedang) dan Penilaian poster pembelajaran oleh validator ahli dan mahasiswa mendapatkan nilai 74% dapat disimpulka bahwa poster tersebut layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kurangnya informasi tentang jenis-jenis anggrek teresterial dan adanya ancaman yang dapat mengganggu keberadaan anggrek teresterial di Hutan sekitar Desa Lembantongoa Kawasan Taman Nasional Lore Lindu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis anggrek teresterial, menentukan kerapatan anggrek teresterial dan menganalisis kelayakan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk buku saku mengenai jenis dan kerapatan anggrek teresterial di hutan sekitar desa Lembantongoa kawasan Taman Nasional Lore Lindu (TNLL). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode belt transect dengan cara purposive. Hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 7 jenis anggrek teresterial yaitu Arundina graminifolia (D.Don) Hochr, Calanthe triplicata (Willem.) Ames, Eulophia spectabilis (Dennst.) Suresh, Nephelaphyllum pulchrum Blume, Phaius tankervillae (Bl.) Lindl, Rhomboda cristata (Bl.) Ormerod, dan Spathoglottis plicata Blume. kerapatan populasi yang tergolong sangat tinggi yaitu S. plicata,tergolong sedang sebanyak 2 jenis yaitu P. tankervillae, A. graminifolia dan tergolong rendah sebanyak 4 jenis yaitu C. triplicata, E. spectabilis, N. pulchrum, dan R. cristata. Hasil validasi buku saku ahli isi 76%, ahli desain 70,6%, ahli media 72,8% dan hasil uji coba kelompok mahasiswa yaitu 86,5%, sehingga buku saku dikategorikan layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar siswa sudah banyak lakukan studi, namun bagaimana kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran biologi di SMP Negeri 19 Palu belum diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi di SMP Negeri 19 Palu di masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran biologi di SMP Negeri 19 Palu yang disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Pada faktor internal indikator yang paling mendominasi kesulitan belajar adalah Sikap. Sedangkan pada faktor eksternal, indikator yang paling mendominasi kesulitan belajar adalah kegiatan praktikum.

Abstract

Burung gosong Filipina (Megapodius cumingii) merupakan anggota dari famili megapodiidae yang saat ini dikelompokkan dalam status least concern. Jumlah populasi yang terbatas dan ancaman kepunahan membuat burung ini perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus. Untuk mendukung tindakan konservasi, diperlukan informasi genetik satwa di habitat alami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk medeskripsikan karakter genetik burung gosong Filipina berdasarkan gen RDP1. Sampel darah diperoleh dari Pulau Kabetan, isolasi DNA genom menggunakan protokol Qiamp DNA Blood Mini Kit, amplifikasi menggunakan protokol Takara Ex Taq dan sekuensing mengikuti protokol BigDye® Terminator v3.1 Cycle Sequencing Kit instrument AB1 PRISM 3100 Avant Genetic Analyzers. Alignment menggunakan clustal W yang ada pada MEGA 10. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi optimal amplifikasi terjadi pada suhu pre-denaturasi 950 C selama 5 menit, denaturasi di suhu 940C selama 35 detik, annealing di suhu 520C, ekstensi di suhu 720C selama 30 detik dan final ekstensi di suhu 720 C selama 7 menit. Komposisi basa kaya pasangan G-C dengan frekuensi T(U) 25,5%, C 25,6 %, A 19,3%, dan G 29,7 %. Analisis mutasi genetik menunjukkan terjadi mutasi transversi pada basa ke 569.

Abstract

Penerapan sistem zonasi dalam Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) telah memicu perdebatan sengit di kalangan masyarakat. Kebijakan ini mengubah lanskap pemilihan sekolah, mendorong para siswa untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai pilihan pendidikan di lingkungan terdekat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan sistem zonasi PPDB terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan kinerja guru di sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Parigi Moutong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasinoal. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebar kepada 169 kepala sekolah dan guru PNS di sekolah dasar negeri menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat korelasi dengan nilai (0.28>0.005) yang signifikan antara penerapan sistem zonasi PPDB dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa maupun kinerja guru di sekolah dasar negeri Kabupaten Parigi Moutong.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of pedagogical and professional competence on teacher performance in elementary schools across Parigi Moutong Regency. Recognising the importance of these competencies in maintaining teaching effectiveness, this research examines their crucial role in the educational landscape. Employing a quantitative research design with a survey method, data were collected from a sample of 127 elementary school teachers selected from a population of 1,685 teachers in Parigi Moutong Regency. A questionnaire, distributed via Google Forms, was used to gather data on pedagogical competence, professional competence, and teacher performance. The collected data were analysed using multiple regression analysis, specifically the F-test, to determine the simultaneous influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the analysis revealed a significant positive influence of both pedagogical and professional competence on teacher performance in the elementary schools of Parigi Moutong Regency. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) for the combined effect of pedagogical and professional competence, and an F-statistic of 40.666, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.06. The findings underscore the critical importance of pedagogical and professional competencies in supporting effective teacher performance. This suggests that investments in enhancing these competencies can significantly contribute to maintaining the quality of education. A limitation of this study is its reliance on self-reported data, which may be subject to bias. Additionally, the cross-sectional design limits the ability to establish causal relationships definitively. Future research could explore these relationships longitudinally and incorporate qualitative data for a richer understanding

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Rattan, a valuable resource for both industry and local food, is evaluated for its nutritional content in this study. The research explores its potential as a learning resource based on local wisdom in Sibado Village, Sirenja District, aiming to raise awareness and promote sustainable use within the community. Methodology: A quantitative descriptive research approach was used, involving proximate analysis to measure (Soxhlet method), protein (spectrophotometric method), water (thermogravimetric method), ash (dryashing method), and carbohydrates (proximate method) of rattan shoots. Data were collected from Sibado Village and analyzed in the Chemistry Laboratory of Tadulako University, Palu. An e-pocket book was developed as a learning resource. Main Findings: The results of the study obtained an average fat content of 0.332%, protein content of 2.110% and carbohydrate content of 6.082%. The results of the study were integrated as a learning resource in the form of a local wisdom-based pocket book that had been validated by content experts, design experts, media experts and students with an average value of 81.7%, meaning it is very suitable for use as a learning resource. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study is the first to combine nutritional analysis of Daemonorops robusta with the development of a local wisdom-based educational tool, bridging scientific data and pedagogy to enhance biodiversity awareness, cultural relevance, and contextualized learning in formal education.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Insect visitors to oil palm flowers, an important component in the pollination process and ecosystem services, are evaluated for their diversity in this study. The research explores their potential as a resource for environment-based learning rooted in local contexts within smallholder plantations, aiming to raise awareness and support sustainable education practices in the community. Methodology: Insects were collected using sweep nets, yellow pan traps, and direct observation. Identification was conducted using a Nikon SMZ445 stereo microscope and reference to entomological keys. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, focusing on species composition and abundance. An e-pocket book was developed as a learning resource. Main Findings: The results showed a total of 50 morphospecies of insect visitors on both male and female oil palm flowers. The number of insect species visiting male flowers was higher, consisting of 38 morphospecies belonging to 21 families and 10 orders. The results of the study were developed into a local wisdom-based pocket book focused on the diversity of insect visitors to oil palm flowers in smallholder plantations. The learning resource was validated by content experts, design experts, media experts, and students, with an average score of 81.7%, indicating it is highly suitable for use in environment-based education. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study highlights insect diversity in smallholder oil palm plantations, which is rarely documented. It also links ecological data with educational applications, providing a model for utilizing local biodiversity as a teaching resource in environmental and biology education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the variation in haplotype distribution and phylogenetic relationships of the Philippine scrub fowl based on the EEF2 gene. Eggshell samples were obtained from Tolitoli and Luwuk, Central Sulawesi. DNA isolation followed the gSYNCTM Extraction Kit protocol, and the amplification process was carried out in 38 cycles, including the pre-denaturation stage (95°C, 5 minutes), denaturation stage (95°C, 45 seconds), annealing stage (53°C, 40 seconds), elongation stage (72°C, 1 minute), and post-elongation stage (72°C, 10 minutes), followed by sequencing. Sequence editing was performed using GeneStudio, sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree reconstruction using MEGA 11, and haplotype network reconstruction using DnaSP and PopART. The results showed that the haplotype network based on the EEF2 gene formed three haplotypes, with the population from Tolitoli having a widespread haplotype, while the population from Luwuk had a specific haplotype. In addition, based on the results of phylogenetic tree reconstruction, it was found that the Philippine white-eye birds from Tolitoli and Luwuk were in the same clade but there was genetic variation between populations.
